Activity Expansion

Well, since what the majority of players do after they get geared up is PvP and talk in fcity and get bored, how about we implement something to expand the activity? Perhaps create a quest that gives extra stat points up to a maximum of 500 or something around that. Something like this :

Level 1 Completion = 50 Points

Level 2 Completion = 100

Level 3 Completion = 125

Level 4 Completion = 225

Of course it would have to get tougher each round. What do you guys think? Perhaps we should gradually add even more rewards as we add more levels to keep players occupied. Savvy?

Just comin' up with things off top my head and I was changin' my build. Tee hee.

This is what my quest is supposed to do; a requirement is that you be elite, and you begin a quest to become a Forsaken Dragoon. Not sure on details, but I think players will pick up valuable items along the way. And it's done in parties, so at some points you can't continue unless you're in a party with people whom are at the same stage in the quest as you are. This stuff may or may not change, and it's a long way from being finished.

I like the idea, specific details and input from other members would really help. I think it has potential.

This thread isn't about how many times the OP has quit.

I like the idea but not status points part, we could do with thinking up of some 'god' items?

I think it should be something the player HAS to do, not something he can do by buying the required quest items from other players.

A good thing is that we already have the idk what it is that counts the minutes a player hasn't shown any action and marks him as offline. Like that players can't just stay idle in fcity for hours. & I think the quest should give items similar to the vote rewards. Untradable if possible. I mean if they were tradable, I'd see bots coming just walking left & right every 14 minutes.

All the ideas and info are in the other thread: "A new MVP" which went from adding some custom MVP to making a large elite-type quest out of it.

Basically, There would be a new world (credit to Amitsu) in which you'd do the quest. You can only enter this world (via an NPC somewhere) if you're an Elite. For the maps of this world I'm sure someone here has the ability to customize existing maps to make them looked ruined or destroyed.

You do certain steps of the quest alone until a certain point, when you'll need a party of players at the same stage as you to continue into a sealed dungeon to defeat a series of obstacles.

At the end there is a final custom boss (which is in the making), which will be extremely difficult to defeat. And parties will need a specific amount of members to enter the MVP's map, which will hopefully be fully custom as well. The map will not be warpable, so if you die you need to be resed. And if you leave the map you can't come back. (something like that)

And the MVP will drop x amount of stuff that party members will then present to an NPC and then they become a forsaken Dragoon, with some sort of perk.

i would say the Perk having a Dragoon Helmet or a Dragoon Aura. something that shows other players they have worked to become a Dragoon. not just Donated and got GMs to do it. sure, people might say we have too many aura's as it is aswell as too many helmets. but that's all i can think of.

I like the idea but yeah, no to stat points. We need to think what would make it different from the elite quest. You see, most people(like me) will just finish the first part of the elite quest and just buy the items you get from the 2nd part OR buy the items you need to be done for the 2nd part, which makes it look like you didn't do the quest. We should stop having quests that are"get these items and you are done" quests. Make it a little hard, so that players will be interested. Like make one part of the quest that you need to get an item from a custom monster that you need to summon or something and the item's drop rate is a little low. I like the idea that you need a party for it, but let us make it that you need to make party that got specific classes in it. Like you will need a wizard or prof somewhere in the stage of the quest. that way we make the wizard and profs a little useful(although not in pvp. ) I dunno about the rewards but I agree with flare. We should be able to brag about it. It must be seen in the character's sprite. And the rewards should be really good considering it must be a hard quest.

We really need to do this, because most veterans have the same routine when logging in. It is like, they WoE, PvP and sit around in Fcity with friends or go to LHZ and kill people. It is the same boring routine.

I'm thinking that after you defeat the MVP, you get an aura or a helmet, not both. But the number you get depends on the number of party members you have, that are still in the MVP's room. So, say you defeat the MVP and had 20 ppl in party, but only 8 are still in the MVP chamber, the NPC would only give 8 helmets/auras. That way people can't have giant parties of alts, bring them in and let them die, and use their mains to kill the MVP. They can't farm the equips then. The MVP would also take a LOOOOONG time to kill. Switch elements, use skills, have tons of HP, high def and mdef. Hit extremely hard. So as to try and use every class you can.

Not if we make them untradeable. And if we made the perk items a set, then you'd have to kill the boss more than once to get a complete set. The challenge will be to create a set that is not more powerful than fset, but that would still entice players to want to get and wear.

Guess I'll still be doin' my routine. Eheheh.

But yeah, it should be something that would benefit those with the full sets already.

So... Make another Elite Set? I was lookin' towards the direction of winning something greater than a Forsaken set. Yes, we could probably lose out on donations, but everybody is using the same equipment. Maybe we should create multiple variations of the armor to specify in one department of builds.

Equipments with a greater bonus than that of the Fset, but with a backlash. Backlash makes a more interesting PvP experience and makes it more strategic.

I would really love to make a set that's better than fset, but you've already outlined a main reason why we shouldn't. Though if Genesis is fine with it it's completely doable.

Add a backlash then. Fset would be the balanced one, while the other sets will excel at a certain attribute but weak in others.

I would rather have the drops as an aura or a helm or a wing AND i dunno if this would be accepted, but why not make those drops compliment the elite set OR Fset? And I like them to be those things because sprites show them. that way people would really know if you have done the quest right?

why not some shiney new auras? like something all sparkly around the players feet instead of the simple blue ring that we dont have lol
