Rhapsody Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 As far as I know, high wizard card works on people, but the fact that most people have very low magic defense makes this card somewhat useless. As for cards that increase magic attack, I can only think of some which adds int but not % magical attack.

Sorrow Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 *High Wizzard card works on people normally, but the magic damage dealt on players is smaller than the output displayed on monsters so that might make the fake impression it doesn't work. Then again, many people use Tao gunka card, which reduces equipment Mdef by 50, so you have a big of chance of facing someone that has negative Mdef, High wizz will set it to 0 to your attack and 0 is more than any negative value, so it basically makes you deal less damage in such cazes. *FBH card rises 10% Matk, so two of them and you have +20%, the 50%+ demi human damage granted by the card doesn't stack with magic however. *The custom card Kingring is a weapon card that gives +3% Matk. *Glove of orleans in one of the few things other than staffs, daggers and books that give Matk, but its +3% Matk is not match for our customs ND Int Belt&ND Mix Belt B and Int Belt&Mix Belt B. *Byorgue card rises Matk and Atk in 10%, the bad side is that it works only for Rogue/Stalker, another disadvanatage; it doesn't rise the Atk with bows, only daggers. It is an armor card. Just like it we also have Agav card, it works for every class but it gives only 5% Matk(not worth of your armor slots). *We also have a custom vote reward hat that can be yours for 40 vote coupons and it adds 25% Matk. +15/20/30 stat hats are generaly more useful than this one tho. ^^

Josef Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 I used to use Agavs xD But you know if you wanna play Wiz that spams meteor storm, try checking out Salamander Card and Red Ferus. :P or for Profs if you can't afford an Int Belt just yet, try Siroma (for Cold Bolt) or Fire Imp (for Fire Bolt). :P

This is my finding: Higher enemy mdef= more magic dmg Lower enemy mdef= lower magic dmg if this is true, how would HW card fit into this? It ignores mdef so wouldn't that be worse than not having it at all? BAH I DONT GET RO MECHANICS QQ. someone enlighten me.

For your previous question; magic damage is pretty screwed up in the server for some reason; High wizzard card works wonders in PvM(aka hunting), but is almost useless in pvp, try swapping them too fit your needs. as for the last post; again, magic damage is pretty screwed up in here, i'm lucky to deal a tird part of my total damage output on players compared to mobs >.> ...if i deal any at all XD i deal higher damage in MvPs than on players... i did a similar test with inca on LHZ...i found out that it doesn't exactly ignore the target's def, otherwise the damage on all mobs would be the same, but howard and seyren(water and fire) take noticeable less damage than Katryn and Cecil(Ghost and Wind) with holy arrows in the same weapon. So yeah...RO Mechanics kinda suck, and we have to deal with it =X
