Ms Sexy Cookies Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 I saw this movie yesterday afternoon as an early birthday movie. And I dare say it was tight as hell. From the very beggining to the end, it was just about non stop action and emotion. The movie was so well done, when Victor throws a punch, I punched the chair in front of me and pissed a woman off, The movie was that damn good. And all in all, possibly one of the best movies of '09 so far. I demand you go watch it :thumbsup_anim:
Jae Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 According to my friends who are both sequential art and film majors (meaning they KNOW the comic inside out and know visual effects), it was the biggest piece of suck they've ever seen. I was supposed to see it with them at midnight but am very glad that my stomach hurt so bad I couldn't get out of bed. In retrospect, that was probably a lot less painful. I heard near the same thing. That it wasn't that great of a movie. But it was just fun to watch. I wouldn't mind seeing this movie. It has Hugh Jackman in it.
Devotion Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 As long as I love the main characters in a film, the movie will be excellent. And I love Wolverine; Which means I'll love the movie. Same with any story really...character attachment is what makes or breaks a story for me.
Fall2Pieces Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Well, he's not true to the comic book character, which ruined it. Everyone has their own opinion, let's see you make a new Wolverine Movie? Yes you can judge, if only you're better.
Devotion Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Thing is I never got interested in the comic version of Wolverine. Therefore there's no disappointment to be had by him being out of character. And even then I'm not picky. For example, the Harry Potter movies don't portray the characters exactly the way I imagined them. So what, I won't like the movies? Nah, I love those kids, they did a good job. PS: Alan Rickman is awesome.
Impulse Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 i was going to see it cause it finally had gambit, but reading this, idk anymore, lol.
Forum~ Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 the movie was interesting to watch. not really a Marvel fan myself but lots of action as well as an interesting storyline. i think the parts were well played out by the actors. i <3 agent 0 (the Azn gunslinger with like 500 feet perfect vision. LOL.) (i happen to be azn as well so.. YEA.) ***OMG OFFTOPIC SORRY. (I saw both on the same day.)*** NOW A MOVIE THAT WAS A REAL JOKE WAS DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION LOL! NOW A MOVIE THAT WAS A REAL JOKE WAS DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION LOL! Piccolo is like a black guy painted green! His antennas are stenciled on. Goku is a NOT white guy with a asian grandfather. Yamcha is a "surfer dude" Chi Chi is a slut. Bulma has a strip of highlighted blue hair which makes her an authentic representation of Bulma from the anime/manga. The Kamehameha is considered an airbending technique. The Kamehameha is a dance. The dragon is summoned with a "poem". Goku "flies" with the kamehameha at the end of the movie. The action scenes look similar to power rangers. In short, this movie is a spoof. Dragonball Evolution- F for authenticity and action BUT, A++++++ for the (unintentional) comedy.
iMush Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 The comic versions are so vivid, and sometimes they change the stories. The wolverine origins comic book tho is pretty different from the movie.. I saw wolverine like nearly 2 weeks ago o.o, it was OK Couldve been made better, there's just to much focus on wolverine and only wolverine, Its kinda predictable, shudve had more suspense :] @Forum~ The first time i saw a trailor of dragon ball Z, i was like wtf, are u kidding me? These guys look like a better version of the Power Rangers. Still gotta see the movie, even tho its a failure :P
Devotion Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Ugghh on the DBZ movie. I'll rent it when it comes out, but I'm not expecting much. What they SHOULD have done is made a 3D movie out of it like Final Fantasy, and stayed true to the series, yet keep it modern.

iMush Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 IMO they should've left DBZ the hell alone! >:( qq Like seriously. Making a freaking non animated DBZ movie? How do u still call it DBZ? u can hardly relate to the real series..
Amitsu Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 I saw this movie yesterday afternoon as an early birthday movie. And I dare say it was tight as hell. Terroryst Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 i <3 agent 0 (the Azn gunslinger with like 500 feet perfect vision. LOL.) (i happen to be azn as well so.. YEA.) He had a scoped rifle so I'd imagine it wasn't that hard. He also didn't shoot Wolverine which I'm guessing he intended to lol. My favorite part out of the whole movie was Deadpool/Ryan Reynolds. The real one, not that fake clone shit at the end lol.
Genesis Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Being a big X-Men fan myself ( I've been reading/watching it since I was 5 years old ) I find it horrible. The characters and the personality of said characters was horrid. He did not do Wolverine justice at all. The only thing that was so so was Dead Pool but even that they got wrong.
Rhapsody Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 I also like X-Men but the movie wasn't that good. I thought that it would be since it had Gambit (he's my fave X-Men character) but the gambit they got also failed. The movie made me QQ because of disappointment.

Totally lame! I didn`t like it at all, could of been done way better. Waste of Money.
Born2punish Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I saw the movie today aswell. The movie was well made and the story is okay. First of all, the story is good but pretty confusing especially the scene when Gambit was present. Logan elbowed him and He knocked him down on the floor, but after 40 second we saw him running above the roof. I mean wth, he was on the floor 40 seconds ago with no weapon at all, but this time he has teh stick running above a house. The end of the film was pretty sad but it sucked. If i have to rate it out of 10 I'll probably give it a 7.
