Well, if it's purely to be kept as a pet, it wouldn't need all the motions. It'd just need walking and standing. If the other action frames are required just to implement the sprite, just use the standing frames unless it's going to be a monster on the field that can attack or be attacked. If it can only be obtained via donation/event, then it wouldn't matter. Then all that would have to be drawn would be face forward at an angle, and back at an angle. Then just mirror the images for the other direction.

Maybe you can ask the person who made the guide? http://www.eathena.ws/board/index.php?showuser=225803 (again problem with link) See if they know, or post on those forums (unless you already did). Extra: I can try and make sprites too. .-. Needs some minor tweaks.

I've asked once and even got him on MSN. Never really got around with it though. He never seemed to be around the computer to mess with it.

The map whenever done could be stuck in just to be there, and could hold like... other monsters I suppose. I've one other map (somewhere) and I wonder how implementing custom maps would go. Then I could just try to make maps and monsters for maps just because. .-.

The title says "A new MVP". The thread was originally about a new MvP. The quest got tacked on later as an idea. Therefore the title is precise for the original post.

I kinda have a map. Need to correct the mountains and make it a platform. I just started figuring slopes out. So... I'll be doing bits now and then... Oh. And size wise, I have no idea how big a character would be compared to the map. I just took the Thanatos map and turned part of it into mountains. I don't know what's with the center light part, but will try to fix it. And the red grid in the middle is just a cursor.

Ah. I figured the song that actually came with it. I picked it up just in-case. If you do sketch a top-down view, then I can make it more accurately than whatever my mind comes up with. I wonder if it would be possible if I can make it and have it tested somewhere. One thing I'm not completely sure about is size. I've made a map, but I wouldn't know how large it would be compared to the people. But that's something to be worried upon later I guess.

So it's a medium-sized round, flat platform where in the front, has roughly 5 evenly spaced spikes with a slight variance in height, and a large mountain in the back. A river of magma flows down the center off the platform (if possible to place in map), and since the top isn't seen, modifications can be made to allow a magma river (again if possible) without restricting movement too much. From standing upon the platform, the area below the platform cannot be seen because of the height, and the vapor blocking view. Well, not sure about placing the vapor in either, but I think I can try. I can usually get something if I put enough time and effort into it. And looks like there's plenty of time to develop it. Now... IF music can be placed into the map (because that part apparently never worked right), what song would be placed in? Two songs could be suggested. 1. In the case any song could be implemented, and placed onto the map, what song would it be? or... 2. If it must be a Ragnarok song, which song should it be? There is a chance though I'm guessing there would be no music. So players could always pop open and play their own epic music of choice. Lol.

Well, I got my new computer. Now to get to making the map, I guess. :P

Sorry I kind of poofed. x-x I'm thinking of trying to make the map when I get my new computer sometime this summer, hopefully within the month. (Finding a good price with good performance isn't easy, and checking if HP's 30% off coupon resets.) But, hearing how slow the progress is on the boss (or fast on an extremely LONG project, I haven't tried to sprite, so I don't know), it doesn't seem like a map would be needed anytime soon. Though I guess if there was a map, it would need to be tested to see if it works right.... .-. ....maybe when I get my computer I'll also try (again) to get my own server up for testing.... (I'm waiting for a new computer because the only one we have that could use the program is taken up 90% of the time, and when I'm on, I kind of want to play FFXI too... and also a better computer would be able to handle the loading better.) By the way, it looks like it will be a nice dragon/sprite. :P

I've played Legend of Dragoon once... got to like... the third disc. Then memory card data corrupt, and then had to give it back to a friend. .-. I wonder if I might play it again sometime. I could never really get into it.

I'd still make a map if there is a design. I just probably can't get to it until a week after next week, or the week after that, because I'm getting the millions of things you get when school ends. 3 plays to read (of 5), AP Calculus test to study for, a concert next week, two more concerts the week after that.... but once it's after graduation (assuming I don't get a job I applied for, or it's not as time consuming as I had set it up to be), I should have free time. Lol, if I could get a converter, you could even put custom 3d objects into the map. (From what I've seen)

Haven't been here in a long while... A long quest to activate, maybe a week until the quest can be redone. Lol, or once a day, or even GM event activated. And for skills, if this server is as customizable as it seems, why not give it its own unique attacks? I haven't even been making maps.... just... living until school is over in two or three weeks... then freedom!

Well, blue light, with water. (Took me some time to figure the lights) And, yeah.... objects are fairly, random? Didn't know what to put.

I will after school. Lighting comes from above. For the base "water" you can choose like.... 2 waters, or 2 magmas, unless you could perhaps make a light texture of multiple frames. However, implementing that exactly, I'm not sure if you have to remove one of the current "water" textures. And I can't tell the number of frames at the moment.

I made this map. .-. It's surrounded by magma, like, it'd be a heating source for the lab or something. I could I guess always convert the magma to water.

I've made a map, and sent it to Genesis. Don't know what happened with it. .-. It's a little.... skinny.... though...

What problem does custom have? Is it not getting put in right, or is it the map itself? Maybe you can google ways to fix the problem. .-. I want to make custom maps. In fact, I did make one, and sent it to Genesis... just... no response. .-.
