What you said is completely true, however, Emperium Auroras only had their colours changed, and not the sprite appearance itself. Throughout this thread players seem to enjoy the current RoP. Ontop of that we could be bordering the original spriters copyright. If you guys wanted more colours, I'd be fine with that, but when you're asking for work to be completely changed when noone else seems to dislike the sprite... I'm not up for it.

Leave it as it is. It does drop useful things, but they aren't classed as useful on fRO because of our sets.

No problem with it, what he's requesting can be added to the .spr / .bmp images itself... Don't wanna be rude but when you saying one thing when it isn't true confuses players. But yes, an effect like what you're asking can be added to the .bmps, will I change it? No. It's fine as it is and I see no reason to change the image.
