Ehh personally it doesn't matter to me since I have a good computer and don't lag. I'm only suggesting this for the players who have really bad computers and are lagging all the time. Either way it's impossible for the GM team to detect RCX use since it's not server side. I just figured it would help reduce the lag for players. However if the GM team doesn't want to allow it then that's their choice. The advantage of using RCX far outweighs the drawbacks. -
That's kinda my point though. There's no real reason to bother with the skills as they are. Look at it this way, if you buff the skills themselves then they will have super strong ranged attacks as well as melee attacks, and the fact that they have a skill that will bypass a ninja's cicada and deal massive damage. I hate ninja as much as the next guy but they shouldn't get completely screwed over. Whitesmith are able to bypass the cicada but they are forced to walk up to the ninja to hit them while a sinx can backslide on top of them and just spam meteor assault to bypass the cicada without having to use any single target skills. I think if you're that worried about it give them a 50% damage boost but other than that it's not really worth doing since it would make them way too strong.

A buff timer won't do anything regardless... How many priests do you see in woe? 1 maybe 2 at the very most. On top of all that when you enter a castle you click the healer NPC anyway so you get fresh buffs then as well. To finish that off if you decide to use anything other than a GTB you get dispelled as well, so the buff timers won't matter regardless. As for buff timers on everyone people swap maya purple and F soldier or don't even bother with maya purple anyway. There's no reason for the buff timers to be a big deal in the least. As for the "botting" that is used that's only with the most recent updates on RCX, I haven't even bothered with them since I haven't found a reason to. However there's plenty of other programs which people use even on this server that are buff bots. If you are forced to spend hours to configure it in RCX to make it work then you should be allowed to use it. Not like it will make a difference anyway. You spend what 2 seconds longer by alt tabbing to buff yourself? I don't see what the issue is. Bowling bash has a 3 cell range that's a given for anyone who has read the skill and played the game. Anyone caught by an LK's AoE without knockback can move out of it in a second anyway. The range isn't so big that it is a make or break for the class. The LK has to walk up to you in order to use the skill anyway not like he's hitting you from across the screen like a sniper. -

The use of RCX to create a buffbot is impossible. RCX doesn't work that way. People use WPE and other macro's to create buffbots regardless, and they do it in under 5 minutes. As for the bowling bash aoe, you would have to customize the RCX to see it which takes some knowledge of scripting and code. As for the hide and seek, you would have better luck using sock.grf instead of RCX. RCX itself doesn't assist gameplay it minimizes lag and helps people play properly. The cast range isn't an issue because it only shows where some skills cast range is, and if people have been playing for longer than 3 days they already know where their cast range is so that doesn't even do anything for them. -

Hmm it would be kinda cool to find an aura that has the same kinda effect as Satan Morroc. That would be really cool to see. Some aura that looks dark and kinda gloomy with decent stats like the L aura's or something.- 14 replies

A friend of mine has had my gear and I have been trying to get it back for the last 2 weeks. The GM team says they can't do anything without proof of the items(screenshots, ect). I don't have any screen shots so instead I need people who have seen me with the gear to vouch for me, or look through any old screenshots you have to see if you have me wearing my gear in them. I just want my gear back.

If it's another drop that's got some value but not something like bloody branch then sure I don't see why that would be bad. They could do the same for the other MVP's that have useless cards as well that way people will have a reason to kill them.- 14 replies

That's just you though. I know there's plenty of people who can't predict that sort of thing and die because of it. After a lot of practice and time you can get used to it but until then it's almost like playing with a handicap if you are using a slower computer. -

Wounded morroc is a joke to kill... You can stand in front of him and hit him repeatedly with asura while wearing a GTB and tank him without issue at all. There's plenty of MVP's that don't drop any decent items or cards for that matter (eddga, drake, amon ra) yet nobody is suggesting to change them at all. This is a high rate so not all MVP's are going to be useful.- 14 replies

The whole thing is though that you can't see the pneuma or safety wall that gets placed if you toggle the effects on or off, as well as the AoE skills such as meteor storm or storm gust. I only suggest it because it would help the people who are always lagging because of the number of people on the screen and the skills being used. -
In case some people don't know what RCX is I will give a brief explanation of what it is. It is a program that uses colored cells to indicate where skills are being cast. For instance you would see land protector as a 16x16 area of pink/purple cells, pneuma would be a 3x3 area of green cells. That way people can leave effects off and still be able to see what is happening during woe and other big GVG fights. This program in no way assists the play of the person it instead allows them to see what's going on and minimize the amount of lag due to AoE skills.

The -50 mdef is hard mdef. If you actually look at the hard def(such as steel body forcing hard def to 90) it actually reduces damage by 90%(not including card reductions). The same stands for hard mdef. If someone has 99 hard mdef they will take 99% less damage from all magic that doesn't give magic piercing. Hopefully this clears any misunderstanding up, but the hard def and hard mdef(the ones you get from the gear and not from vit) reduce percentile damage. -

I don't really see the point in this... tao gunka reduces the mdef by 50 hard mdef per tao gunka used. Which means you deal 50% more damage if someone is using 1 tao gunka than if they used none, and by adding mdef piercing to the staff then you would be in fact increasing the mdef for instance 10% mdef pierce against someone using 1 tao gunka would mean your damage is equal to -40 hard mdef assuming they are using 0 mdef to start with. The more mdef piercing you get the closer to 0 that number gets which means the less damage you would actually deal to players. That being said, the only real reason to use this would be in PVM against monsters which have high mdef or MVP's with high mdef. Otherwise there's no real point in using it at all PVP wise. -
I get that you're after more diversity in woe but my point is if a whitesmith is using 1 cart terminate every 2 seconds because of aftercast delay due to not having a clown by him 24/7 it makes the class pretty useless. Whitesmith is made to go out on it's own and deal some damage not sit by the precast because they can't do anything without bragi. Don't get me wrong I am all for having clowns there for the bragi on precast and other classes that have standard aftercast delays, but it's a bit unfair for the classes that have customized aftercast delays.

Another issue that can be forseen with this is the fact that every class on the server requires kiel cards due to every single skill (except double strafe, and bowling bash) have aftercast delays. Which means that every single class would be limited to requiring a clown to stay with them 24/7 which means that 90% of classes (whitesmith, paladin, prof, high wizard, champion, sniper, and more) become roughly 80% less effective. Which means that the "classic" effect you guys are aiming for won't be possible unless the aftercast delays are set to normal and removed for the skills that are aspd based. If this is corrected then I wouldn't see an issue with it since it would be really fun to see the classic woe here instead of the standard woe where sinx and pally can tank an entire guild of people with all the custom gear.

The problem is that because this client isn't running harmony or any other third party program check anyone can make a WPE script just for thana and just set it to auto run when it's down to less than 30 seconds to enter and then they will have an almost fully secured win when it comes to thana. The issue isn't so much the lack of the quest itself but the fact that the same few people are running third party programs to monopolize on it(it's quite obvious that it's third party since they enter it instantly.) It sort of defeats the purpose of it. Although there's not much you can do since as I stated there's no check in the client to determine if someone is using third party programs. -
The fact of the developers not being able to make a card to null GTB effect or part of the effect is total crap. It's not hard to script a card that works like that. Secondly the point is HW don't need a card to pierce GTB. A good HW knows how to swap gear from sala to raydric/skolls, also the use of safety wall is a beautiful thing for tanking melee classes and asura strike. The point is GTB is the last thing that HW need to worry about. They simply need a bit more HP in order to be really useful. Then again if you really think about it a HW can also use stave crasher just like a prof. Perhaps you should try using everything you have before suggesting that new cards need to be added.

As far as WoE goes I think in exchange for having GTB and since everyone is tanky they should probably remove the range reduction from WoE. That would have some give for the use of wizards since most people main GTB anyway when they are inside the castle since the damage is reduced by a lot.
