Like I said, 1. Get your connection's tracert results. Paste them here if you want. "tracert forsakenserver.net" on CMD. For context, I'm getting 250 as well but have no lag and minimal delay in-game (I've tested spamming differences with someone who has <50ms to the server). 2. Keep a tab open for "ping forsakenserver.net -t" on CMD. See for any latency spikes if you get lags or delays. If you get spikes in CMD when you lag in-game, there's something in your connection that's going on. If you don't, your ISP is doing something with your connection.

More than ping, it's actually how the ISP routes your traffic to the server. In Bayantel, I was at 250-300 ping but was getting delays that felt like 1k+ MS, yet I don't get any ping spikes in CMD. On PLDT, I'm at roughly 200-250, but I never get any spikes or delays (my PLDT is slower than my Bayantel, btw). I would do a tracert to the server and check the number and quality of your connection hops.

I'm playing from the Philippines as well. What ISP are you on? I've tried both PLDT and Bayantel and PLDT has a better connection to the server than Bayantel ever does. Just routing differences, I guess.

How is a BB LK for PvE farming and MVP?

On a related note, I remember trying a system before that allowed multiple items to be listed using the @alootid function. I don't know whether that came with renewal or not though, but that was pretty convenient.

Hi, still fairly new and I'm looking to start doing those quests (according to the wiki) for those high token blessed/cursed rings. But I'm stuck on the part where I need to do it with the party (it's just me and my brother who know each other). Am I supposed to look for a guild? Or do people generally gather by the raid portal and recruit from there? I don't have much time at the moment to just sit and look for a group (LFG-esque), so I'm not sure what my next option would be. Any help would be great :)

Thanks! I was right, roughly 300 ping. The spikes I get feel way more than 300ms though (based on experience), this is most probably an ISP issue already. Oh well :(

Hi all. I recently moved to a new apartment (and city) in the Philippines. I'm not from here, but I was assigned here for work. Previously, I used to be under the PLDT ISP and I had no problems whatsoever with lag or delays in fRO (I think I had a latency of around 200ms, could be lesser). However, in my new place I'm using Bayantel as an ISP and should roughly have 300 ms latency (according to the Resource Monitor, fRO.exe). But I'm getting lag spikes and delays of (out of experience) roughly 1k+ ms. Download speed is fine, consistent 500kbps on numerous sources. So I'm thinking that this ISP has a bad route to the server? Is there a way I can accurately check my ping to fRO? And if there's anything I can do to improve my current connection? Thank you for any help.

As someone new to the server (so this is my first update), do we just run the Forsaken RO Patcher executable and let it patch from there?

Noted, thanks! AoE farming with a Wiz is just so much quicker and easier than with a Sniper which is why I was interested in making my Wiz my primary farmer for now.

Thanks! Will try this combo and hopefully cleans them up quick. Yeah, I'm going for trying to maximize the amount of Z/tokens I can make per hour now since I'm still fairly new and want to save up for those big token items.

Hi, I just made a Wizard and I'm really enjoying it for farming. However, I run into problems when dealing with mobs with Holy/Shadow/Ghost, etc properties that I don't really have spells for (other than Soul Strike, maybe). For example, I want to try to farm the Acidus (Holy) for Treasure Boxes, but my SG isn't enough to kill it before it freezes or kill it in a few hits. Similarly, how do I MVP with a Wiz for those bosses with these properties? Any help would be great! I have a sniper too, but since I'm new that'd mean I have to keep swapping the equips around based on what I want to use which is terribly inconvenient. Thanks!

As for someone new to the server (about a week old), we are in the same boat. I was very curious as to how tokens are introduced to the economy, that's when I saw the donation page have them and realized that this server is as much as 5+ years old (I think?). That said, I very much agree with starting small and accumulating your wealth. This is exactly what I've been trying to do through seed tix (which I still don't really know how to trade/sell) and some other quest items. I'd very much like to hit the jackpot through a good MVP card, but I can never seem to catch them while they're alive.

Thanks! I was actually very very impressed by the amount of quests (and guides) on the wiki. I've actually done my legendary weapon, and 2 legendary gauntlets already :) I'm working on learning the new stuff to RO in general (I've been away awhile). How do the enriched ores work? Do they prevent the gear from breaking? My legendary is now +5, but that risk message pops up if I try to upgrade using E.Ori... I'm not breaking a weapon I just got and spent hours for... Lol.

How do I use them to upgrade? The Kafra seems to only ask for normal Oridecons...

Scouted through the list of servers and I'm liking this the best - have to admit, the 'new' and custom stuff are overwhelming at first. Community looks great! Hi fRO, I've tried searching for other threads regarding this issue of mine, but can't seem to find any. Apologies if I've missed it and thank you in advance for linking it here. It seems that my in-game 'Effects' sound level is always at max even if the in-game bar (ALT+O) is set as low as possible (without it being completely off). I keep my BGM off. I tend to play music/voice chat with games, so I turn down my effects volumes since I still like to hear some action in the background, it helps keep the game relevant. I just can't seem to figure out how to reduce the Effect volume of fRO - it's either completely 100% or off. Would appreciate any help, thank you! -Elly
