Since this is the off-topic forum I claim my right to rant. I believe my suggestions aren't that awful, but did you READ THE WHOLE THING before you counterclaim/put down what I say. I'm not talking about resonable ones like when Damascus type a whole paragraph to hammer some nails into my head; that's perfect fine, I'm talking about the one-liners that totally killed my suggestions, and leave my questions unanswered. I said there should be multiple @ali stances, you say "support botters period." Don't we have good anti-bot measures? I said there should be a way to check market prices, you say "impossible period." I said in MvP arena (and MvP ladder) that it should drop no cards, but instead a voucher of minuscule value at 10% rate to exchange like 100+ of 'em for ONE coupon. And you say "economy ruined period." DID YOU EVEN READ PAST THE A LETTER OF MVP ARENA?? "I don't like it" or "I don't care what you think" could have been better than "your idea is wrong and blah blah blah I can't hear you." that's how human communicate, if you want to offend someone, reproach his idea, reject his words but not his intelligence, and that is how all e-drama started in the first place. === Now, about people flaming and quitting. Here's an example of how e-drama starts. So someone came up with a guide that brag forsaken gears and MvP cards and conventional ways to defeat each class, the person is well-reputated, we admire him. And another guy (not me) came up with a guide that is not 100% effective and agressive. We come up with ways to counter the build, PLUS "man, what kind of idiot are you to make this shitty build" and then you go back to the good guide and say, "this guide is good unlike that one which sucks". The creator is offended because the words didn't affect only his idea, but you impliedly stated that his intelligence is inferior, that's what spin the psychological cogs and wheels and leads to series of flames, and eventualy quitting, you may even take it to the quit topic and say "Bye, loser" and feel triumphant. The community loses, because the guy may take you as a majority of the server and blame the entire community. So what? And weapon, if you choose spear, your life can be pretty much boring since all there is to spear is Holy Cross/Bash/Spear Quicken. Go with 1H sword and a shield, pallies are made to be TOUGH. You may go all INT and use grand cross, but that's useless in PvP, unless you got them kiels and perfect ygg timing.

If you're a sacrifice pally (that means huge VIT input) and is properly geared (2 taos in f.armor) you may reach up to 500~600k HP. - Ghostring/Angeling it's PvP only, nuff said. - Peco Peco if you can't afford any of th above, +10%HP Shield: Valk shield, you're starting to get the picture here. Unless you go spear pally, always and always get a shield. The second best here would be shield[1] and platinum shield, they're pretty much on par. - GTB kills magic. - Orc Lord, if you are a reflect-based pally. - Damage cards like Usakoring can be used for one-race dungeons. - Holdremlin give you lesser, but universal protection, plus a chance for +30 perfect dodge for a while. Garment: Valk Manteau or Pauldron - Raydric all the way. Shoes: Valk Shoes, or just Greaves. - Fallen Bishop Hibram: Solely for PvP, and to ensure that you're dishing out awesome damage, go sacrifice Pally. - Antique Firelock, rev it up to +10, you'll get +10% HP/SP Accessory: Stat boost/auto skill of your choice. My recommendation would be: - Wickebein Tres: Divest armor can prove some use in PvP against un-FCPed people. - Hydro: Team up with a wizard amd let him quagmire to thwart the opponent's insta-cast. The high percentage spell breaker from this card will render them monks "un-asura-able". Do this in timely manner and you'll be pretty good. It's mega-useful for PvM, too. I haven't try this on MVPing, though, might work.

Did you refer to my "Verbal offenses" topic, Gen? I'm by no mean pushing it up to your face, but it'd pretty much set the forums/online comminity standards around here. Suchst du im Ordner des Forsaken RO die Datei "Source Client Patcher.exe" oder wenn es ist nitch funktioniert, download die "Valhalla Client Patcher" und macht eine Aktualisierung für die Clients. But yeah, if you're wearing VISIBLE donation gears and is agressive in PvP, you're ganged and most of the time, begged (that's why I don't stay at fcity by default). Guess what: Gasoline is about 1$ flat per litre here in Thailand - about 3.27$ per gallon. What's more? THE MINIMUM WAGE HERE IS FRIGGIN' 6$ PER DAY!!

I don't know if a RANDGRIS CARD would have chances to remove EDP. Nonetheless, in many class guides it is recommended to get sinX out of melee range: BB, Charge Arrow/well-placed Ankle Snare, JT(+ staff of piercing in case of GTB), cart rev(followed by cart term and before the damage starts to connect again, cart rev), Palm push strike/Stop Blade and for you HPs always have Angeling+Aspersio trick. But yeah, if they have stone buckler/RSX, you're doomed.

Here's another tip. Close all background programs by running the task manager, choose "end task" for all programs that is tagged by your username except taskmgr.exe and explorer.exe, sometimes it'll notify you that you don't have firewall on but ignore it. If you're going back to using browser again, I recommend re-login windowss so all the security programs are all back. It helped my lag greatly.

Originally, in my high school years, I played in the legit ThaiRO server and remembered going only as far as a lv85 assassin (High class was not implemented). Leveling is boring as hell, and the community was sickening...people would KS-loot you and go "so weak lol" at least once per leveling session, accounts are hacked at alarming rate. And in fluent leveling maps, you can expect 80+ bots. People are using real money to buy pixels at insane exchange rate (Imagine having to sell a fashionable cellphone for ONE MVP card) though I was not one of them. A pacifist like me existed only for one purpose: to be bullied. My grades dropped and I can feel no fun anymore in ThaiRO even though I was addicted to it like crack...I have to buy airtime and costed me plenty, too. So one day I just quitted, cold turkey. === After 5-year absence, in fact I still like RO, but not its tedious leveling and its dystopian society, so I was looking for a place to play RO without spending months just leveling away. I could've ended up in a superhigh rate, but I washed ashore here, a top-ranker server. The balance and challenge here is just perfect (PvM-wise). If I want a 15000x/15000x/15000x server, I could just play eAthena myself.
