I think that's the kind of experience we are looking for here Zelot. Having a more diverse spectrum of classes in woe creates a very different and imo fun experience.
-
I think the hardest part about the suggestion is how to balance everything. As ray pointed out a lvl limit could be bothersome if the level can't be reset to 99 by an npc. Also at 99/70, the usual lowrate lvl cap you don't have all skills at max lvl. If we only restrict the normal lvl there could still be issues with balance (though probably in a managable degree). At the moment I don't have good ideas on how to create a good balance for a fair environment, but if I come up with something I think is doable I'll post again.

So you're basically saying fuck new players I want all the loot?
-
If you use the search function you will find older threads that discuss that topic.
-
Yeah crit is better if you dont have thana.
-
Let's talk about castle drops. I think there shouldn't be emps or other high value drops since the cost of this woe will be significantly lower compared to normal woe. Additionally normal woe should still be more attractive to players since it's probably one of the highest if not the highest reason for donations. I think something like MVP cards or Bloody Branches or straight etoks might be good. Then this woe would enable new players to gear up via competition in an environment that is fair to them since it only requires non-custom items.

Yes, but you can increase the overall dmg if you use a combination of different cards since different modifiers will multiply.

It's part of the renewal client, but Genesis already stated this server won't go on renewal any time soon. Specific implementation would probably take too long.

It's Better To Bring Back The Thana Quest.

I'd still prefer seeing thana as a raidboss on a high cooldown raid. Something like one of the custom raids with many strong mobs and at the end a thana (maybe stronger version). That way the card is still hard to get, everyone can give it a try and value drops from higher obtainability for everyone. The droprate might have to be matched accordingly though. -
I'm not sure if the zenny data type can be changed. Currently afaik the limit should be set by the maximum integer value, but if you change the data type you'll have to do so at multiple places in the code. Since I'm not familiar with the code it could be doable, but also almost undoable. If there's no problem with the implementation it would be nice, but if it turns out to be too much work I'd rather see the work invested elsewhere since walking, exchanging the coins and walkig back doesn't even take 5 minutes.

It's probably easiest if there's also level restrictions, but if we think in this direction maybe consider a seperate lowrate server? Don't know how doable it would be since server costs can be pretty steep, but I've been wanting a lowrate to play on at Forsaken RO's high quality. Would be pretty happy if it happens. If that's not possible maybe have a special item requirement for entering and the item reduces stats? Then the stats could be reduced to accomodate vanilla woe needs. Not sure if a condition can be added to the maps though. We would need some knowledge as to what can and cannot be done with the map conditions before we consider further options I think.

Nopls. They can already carry more than they should need for PvP. Cart provides enough supplies for 10 fights.

Increase The Drop Rate Of Memroy Book
ChainBreak replied to panda2231's topic in Reviewed Suggestions
If it's your first char you're starting to gear, yes it will take time. I think I had to farm about 4 hours over 2 days to get it on my first char. But if the droprate gets increased it will lose all value which in the long run hurts the new player's purse more than older player's. -
Ye,s please do. It can be difficult to keep track of it from different time zones.

Except for 4. I think the points can be done, but Genesis mentioned in some thread he doesn't want to edit skills for technical reasons and suggestions should aim to work aorund that. I'm not sure if skill requirements (aside from gemstone) can be altered by items so we should discuss if a useable item is a good solution. As for the HP buff I haven't played much SG so I'm not exactly sure how much is needed, but I think between 5-10% is ok.
-
I think in an older thread the item idea paired with a quest/pay dungeon for farming was the conclusion a couple of people agreed on. Another idea I brought up was putting a hatred level buff on the cape/ring itself and disabling the use of hatred while wearing the cape/ring. That way there is no problem with the dispel and you can fight all classes. I think the concern raised were that this could be too powerful and if this route was chosen some type of nerfed version should be given on the cape/ring. Not too sure about my memory here though I'll dig up the old thread and post again. Some spells have a delay based on aspd that's why you usually go max aspd on mage classes. Also it helps if you try to strip someone. It's not absolutely necessary however, I already saw some wizards who didn't put stats in agi at all.

Yeah 1b was a bit exaggerated, but having a farmrate of ~400 in 5 minutes thats 12*400*(50 000 * 1.24) = ~300k per hour So yeah 1b takes 3-4 hours.
-
thanatos tower farm sage stones. Getting 200 doesnt even take 5 minutes.
-
I think farming zenny is at an ok rate right now. Farming 1b only takes 1-2 hours on my legendary gear wizard. Of course you also need some pots, but since the berry dungeon entry is permanent and only requires the questable ticket it's very easy to get enough pots for farming in 5 minutes.

Well making a custom map with some high HP plants inside shouldn't be too hard to implement and I don't see a downside to it so +1

People actually go gtb against me when I play PvP. I only use dagger/edge and shield and only PvP to kill boredom, but many players go gtb after dying to coma once, which I would respond to with SB spam if I had my bm set to accomodate it properly.
-
I don't think it matters at all what his spam is. 2 casts can and will kill most classes on gtb. Just because he is a bad player the maximum potential of the skill which is a lot higher than what he can accomplish by relying on only sb and backslide spam won't fall. Imo balance should always be aimed to balance the maximum playable potential, not the average level of play.
-
You wanna know why they quit? They quit because they relied purely on being able to ignore the enemy equips and spam sb then backslide. It's the same as GS who only relied on Desperado then quit because for they gear switching is too difficult. The reason for them quitting is not that it's a huge nerf it's because they simply suck at RO and relied purely on annoyance builds where they spam two skills and call themselves skilled. Also the BN users will all quit, because their actual inability to play the class will show.
