___________________________________________________________________________________ EVENT GUIDE 2012 ___________________________________________________________________________________ Table of Content Introduction Player vs. Player Events: LMS LTS GvG PvP ladder Games of Chance: Dice Russian Roulette Wildcard Dice Warp Portal Trivia Events: Mindbreaker Password Other Events: Guess That Monster Hide and Seek Novice Dodgeball Poring Ball Scavenger Hunt Survival Saving Bob Trouble Shooting General Troubleshooting Player vs. Player Events: LMS/NDLMS Troubleshooting LTS/NDLTS Troubleshooting Games of Chance: Dice Troubleshooting Russian Roulette Troubleshooting Warp Portal Troubleshooting Wildcard Dice Troubleshooting Trivia Events: Password Troubleshooting Other Events: Hide and Seek Troubleshooting Novice Dodgeball Troubleshooting Scavenger Hunt Troubleshooting Survival Troubleshooting Can be used for easy reference for the event you're currently (planning to) host(ing), good luck! ________________________________________________________________________ Introduction As event Game Masters, your primary job is to entertain ForsakenRo's community with our custom events. This guide will attempt to outline all our events and answer most commonly asked questions. Before choosing to host an event, make sure that no other Game Master is currently holding one. Always ask if it is O.K. to host an event when several GM's are online, as they might be in the process of organizing one. You may hold any event you like, with exceptions of GvG and Annihilation, which are held at set hours. Also make sure that the same event is not hosted one after the other. You may refer to the Event Logs if you are unsure. Note, that hosting several rounds is different than hosting several of the same event. Events such as Warp Portal, Hide and Seek and Password may have several rounds. In addition you must always be aware of WoE and Guild vs. Guild hours, and schedule your events around them. Always give advanced notice to players before you start an event, especially for PVP related ones, where payers may have to gather equips and items. To announce an event, type /nb or /b and announce which event you are going to host and when it will be open. Example: /nb The Dice event will open in 3 minutes! Once your allotted time has passed, you open your event via the Event NPC (@warp fcity 75 115). All events activated by this NPC are hidden on the road in fcity. You then give a set time for players to join. Example: /nb You have 5 minutes to join Dice! We recommend you give time reminders at regular intervals, to let players know how much time they have left. Always give a final call for your events, to let players know it is closing. Example: /nb Last call to join Dice, closing fast! Once inside the event room, you will see another Event NPC, which you will use to close the NPC in fcity. From then on, use local broadcasts (/nlb /lb), so that the entire server doesn't have to see it. If you are unsure which event to hold, or would like to give players the chance to pick for themselves, you may ask them to @request the event they want you to host. Example: /nb @request one event you would like. Please don't spam. Spam votes from the same person do not count. If someone lists more than one event, you may choose to count only the first one listed, or ignore the vote completely. You are allowed to recall players into events, as long as you have not begun the event. But if you choose to recall someone, you must recall everyone who asks, or not at all. Some events do not require or have a special map, in which case you are free to pick any map suitable to the event in question. See individual event guidelines for details. All events must be logged Here (Things to include: Name of event, time and date held, amount of coupons before and after, winner's name.) Back to top General Troubleshooting: Q: I have an emergency, and I can't continue the event. A: Ask another GM online to take over. If one isn't available, and you have a real emergency, you can cancel your event (make sure to tell the players). If the emergency will only take a few minutes, you can put your event on hold. Q: The server disconnected during my event, what should I do? A: If the server reopens in a reasonable amount of time, you may restart the event. If you were near the end of an event, and remember all the remaining participants, you can recall them to the map and finish up. Q: I disconnected during an event, and I can't get back on, but others can. A: Try to contact another GM. They will either take over or cancel the event. If no one is available there isn't much you can do, and you will not be punished for it. Q: I have a problem in an event that isn't listed anywhere here and I don't know what to do. A: Contact a higher GM with your question. If the problem needs immediate action, and no one else is available, use your best judgment. If the problem isn't urgent, you can either make a ticket or wait for an available higher up. Q: When players see me hosting an event, they ask so many questions that I can't keep up. A: If you feel overwhelmed by all the @requests and PM's, you can broadcast to have players ask their questions after you're finished the event. Back to top Player vs. Player Events: Last Man Standing (LMS) and Non-Donation Last Man Standing (NDLMS) These events are one of the first that a young GM will learn, as they are simple and do not cause stress. Although it does not require great effort on the GM's part, you should always keep an eye open for cheaters and runners. The only difference between LMS and NDLMS is the event map and the equipment players are allowed to use. The same rules apply to both. WARP: LMS: pvp_n_3-3 NDLMS: pvp_n_1-3 Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Here is a broadcast outline. You are welcome to develop your own style as you grow: Welcome to Last Man Standing! To win you must be the last player alive on the map. You have 30 minutes to do so. If there is more than one player alive after that time, there will be no winner. Rules: No novices, basilica, hiding in the GM menu or parties. Please leave your parties now (use /leave). I will do a party check and remove anyone still in their party. You can use @whomap to see everyone. Do not @kill anyone without seeing them first, as they may have left party since you checked last. Right clicking the character and selecting the kill option will disconnect them. Once everything is clear, give them warning before you activate PVP. I will activate PVP in 10 seconds! Good Luck! Use the Event NPC and select the Enable PVP option. - Keep track of the time (30 minutes max) - Remain hidden throughout the event. - Always announce the winner. - You cannot trade on event maps, so you will need to recall the winner to another location. - Remember to turn off PVP once you're done. - Remember to log your event Here Back to top LMS/NDLMS Troubleshooting: Q: Can I recall? A: Yes, but you must kill anyone you recall and then res them, to debuff them (the NPC does this automatically). Q: When I recall in NDLMS, the player is still wearing their Valkyrie helm. A: When one is recalled into the non donor LMS room, all donor equipment is automatically taken off, and the player cannot equip them. But the sprite still looks to be there. Q: What do I do if a player(s) refuses to fight? A: Sometimes, usually at the end of an LMS, players will organize one on one duels amongst themselves to prevent ganging. This is acceptable. However, there are cases where a player simply doesn't fight. Asking them to join the fight usually solves the problem, but you are allowed to remove them if they do not cooperate. Q: What do I do about runners? A: Many classes run as a strategy, or to let FCP wear off. Champions and Assassins are particularly good at excessive running. Some will say it is their strategy to cover up the fact that they are running. There is no right answer to this question; you must judge each individual situation objectively. Again, you have the power to remove anyone not following the rules. Q: Can players declare a tie? A: No, as this would lead to organized ties. The only tie allowed is reflect damage, which kills the giver and receiver at the same time. Q: In the case of a tie, How many coupons does each player get? A: Three event coupons each. Q: What if a professor claims he cast Hocus Pocus and accidentally used Trick Dead on himself? A: Novices are not allowed in PVP events mainly due to Trick Dead, which could be used to wait out all the fights until the end. There is no way to tell if the professor intended to do it, so there is nothing we can do. Back to top Last Team Standing (LTS) and Non-Donation Last Team Standing (NDLTS) As the name implies, this is an organized team PVP event. There should be at least two Game Masters online to host it; one will lead, the other will help. You can choose to make it a non-donor LTS, if you wish, in which case you'd host it in the Non-Donation LMS map. WARP: LTS: pvp_n_3-3 NDLTS: pvp_n_1-3 Host: 2(Min) Prize: 5 Event Tokens to each member and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) LTS is slightly different than other PVP events, because you musn't let more than the party limit for each GM into the event. Party limit is 30, including yourself, so if you have two GM's you shouldn't allow more than 70 players inside (to allow room for AFK players). To allow an excess of players inside, and then to tell them they can't participate because there isn't enough party room is unfair. Broadcast outline: LTS will open in 5 minutes; there are only 60 places! Come join LTS, space is limited! Once you join the event, please erect a chat asking for a party Leave all your other parties. Note, that there is no time limit in your broadcast. You must encourage players to join the event and close it before you have an excess of players inside. Welcome to Last Team Standing You will be divided into two teams (or however many) by the GM's Do not go AFK, we will invite all of you eventually. Please leave your parties and erect a party chat. Team iLikeApplez will be on the left, and team DirtySocks on the right. These are the only two parties you should accept invites from. Please do not reject these party invites. - Try to assure that both teams have equally strong members, and a variety of classes. Start with the donors and work your way to the newbies. If you want to be really organized you can go by class. - Each GM takes his turn picking a player, and once the player accepts party, the GM will say done in guild chat. - Once everyone is in a party, make sure you each have roughly an equal amount of players. If there is a large gap in numbers, then transfer some players. - Before starting, make sure your team is all on their respective side. You have one minute to prepare. PVP will be activated in 10 seconds, good luck! Back to top LTS/NDLTS Troubleshooting: Q: A player(s) that were in my team left. A: Remove them from the event. Notify the other GM(s) that you're short a player and that you need to pick an extra one. Q: Someone's made another party and has started inviting other players. A: Remind participants of the official parties, and ask them to leave party with the consequence of being removed if they don't cooperate. Q: Almost everyone I try to invite is AFK. A: This is unavoidable, someone will always be AFK. If they do not accept the invite right away, wait a good few seconds before removing them. Entering their chat sometimes wakes them up. You can follow up with a broadcast asking people to pay attention to the event. Q: This one party member is being a complete asshole to everyone else. A: You're the boss. If someone is treating you and your other party members like dirt, don't be afraid to speak up (politely), or in severe cases, remove them. Q: Lots of players are asking for recalls while we're inviting to party. A: It takes time for everyone to get parties, and players will disconnect. I find that most of the time, players who ask for recalls were originally in the event, so there is no harm in recalling. Q: My team doesn't have someone who can FCP them, or the person on the team who can is unwilling. However, the other team does. A: It doesn't matter. You may NOT at any cost FCP or buff your team. That's part of the strategy. Back to top Guild vs. Guild (GvG) This bi-weekly event must always be hosted on Tuesday at 19:00 and Sunday at 18:00 (server time). Participating guilds fight for supremacy and for the prize, to be distributed by the Guild Leader among his members. Any Game Master can host this event; however, only the hosts, designated or substitute, and senior GMs may be on the GvG map during the event. WARP: for_gvg Host: 1 Prize: 1 GvG Token, 180 Event Tokens, and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline: Try to announce the event 10 minutes before the hour. Guild vs. Guild will open in 10 minutes. You have 10 minutes to join GvG. Welcome to GvG! The last guild standing wins. Rules: No novices, basilica, hiding in the GM menu and no multi-guild parties. All guilds must be in their own area including allies In addition, the champion class is not allowed to wear Rune of Powers. You must be in a guild to participate. Take this time to prepare yourselves. At this point you will check for multi-guild parties and make sure guilds have their own spaces. I will enable PVP in 10 seconds! Good luck! - @whomap will show you everyone alive or dead on the map. So when you're checking for survivors, it's best to go to them and see if they are still alive. - The winning Guild Leader may pick from any of these prizes, and also gets a GvG certificate. - Don't worry about allies; they will break alliance when it is the proper time. Back to top The PvP Ladder This is a continuous server event where players must gain the most kills, with 60% or less less deaths in one week. First, Second, and Third place receive prizes, and kills only count in our PvP rooms. However, players do cheat, and that is where you come in. Game Masters should help identify cheaters by watching PvP. Common ways to cheat: They will duel client, or have their friend enter PVP on a weak character and kill them repeatedly (most common). They will kill a Soul Linker with Kaizel. They will organize pretend fights with geared characters. They will lure newbies into PvP with false promises of items/coupons (this is illegal) Prizes: First Place : 10 PvP Tokens Second Place: 4 PvP Tokens Third Place : 1 PvP Token All the prizes are in our guild storage. If you notice we're low on a prize, alert Genesis. First place winners may choose out of any of the first place boxes. If you hand out a Ladder prize, please log it here. All game masters are allowed to give out the prizes. Consult the event logs to make sure they haven't already received theirs. Never give out a prize before the Sunday of that week's ladder. Never give out a prize if the winners are not listed in the Hall of Fame. Always ask winners to log onto the player they won with, to avoid scams. If a winner is a suspected cheater (and there is evidence), but no decision has been made, wait until the case has been solved before issuing the prize. - If you think someone might be cheating then mention it in the GM forums. - You must have screenshots of the actual cheating for the player to be banned from Ladder. - Players do report each other to try and get them in trouble, but every report is worth investigation. - We do not allow alternate characters of a banned player to win the Ladder, but we cannot always tell who's who. If you suspect someone, ask Genesis or Zeitgeist to run an IP check. Back to top ________________________________________________________________________ Games of Chance: Dice Perhaps ForsakenRo's most popular event, Dice is a game of chance. Players pick between four numbered squares, and the Game master rolls the dice, killing the number rolled. This is one of the more demanding events for GM's, but also one of the most enjoyable. You may, at first, require a second person to help you run the event, but eventually you will learn to go solo. WARP: (recommend you hotkey these) Altar: quiz_01 237 277 Bridge:quiz_01 238 282 Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Here is a broadcast outline. You are welcome to develop your own style as you grow: Welcome to the Dice event! When I say Run, you may run. When I say stop, you will stop. I will then roll the Dice and kill the corresponding numbers. The last player alive wins! Do not stay on bridges, and do not cheat. All chats down please. (if this applies) Run! wait a few seconds. Stop! Before rolling, be sure no one is still running from square to square. If anyone is still on a bridge, give them one warning before removing them. Dice time! /dice allows you to roll. If the number is 5 or 6, or if there is no one on the number you rolled, re-roll. Warp immediately to the bridge area and kill the square in question. GM's most commonly use Storm Gust and Desperado, and buff themselves with Enchant Deadly Poison beforehand. Other useful skills to have hotkeyed for Dice is Full Strip, and a single target attack like Asura or Full Buster. - Be sure that participants occupy at least two squares at a time. - Never recall anyone to the Altar. - Announce the winner, and recall them to another location for their prize. - Remember to log your event Here Back to top Dice Troubleshooting Q: I saw a player cheat but I don't know who. A: You can ask the other players who cheated, and they will have seen it most times. If no one knows, then continue with your event. Q: Someone has accused me of rigging the dice. A: That is not possible, the rolls are random. Q: The winner is AFK. A: Wait a couple minutes, and if he doesn't respond, then he doesn't get the prize. If there was only one person before him, you can declare them the winner instead. You can also announce that there is no winner. Q: The server disconnected and now players can use skills on the Dice map? A: This usually only happens with Genesis updates, in which case he will still be on MSN. Ask him to turn skills off, and if he's not available, you can either ask players not to spam or wait to hold Dice. Back to top Russian Roulette This game could also be called "Opposite Dice". Instead of killing the square that corresponds to the number you roll on /dice, that number becomes safe and you kill all other numbers. This event tends to end a lot quicker than Dice. Because of how many squares you need to kill, it would be wise to have at least 1-2 other GMs helping you for this event. WARP: (recommend you hotkey these) Altar: quiz_01 237 277 Bridge:quiz_01 238 282 Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Here is a broadcast outline. You are welcome to develop your own style as you grow: Welcome to the Russian Roulette! When I say Run, you may run around the numbered squares. When I say stop, you must stop on the square nearest to you. Do not stay on bridges, and do not cheat. I will then roll a die using /dice. The sqare corresponding to the number I roll will be safe while all others are killed. The last player alive wins! All chats down please. (if this applies) Run! Wait a few seconds, or play a clown or gypsy song to time. Stop! Before rolling, be sure no one is still running from square to square. If anyone is still on a bridge, give them one warning before removing them. Dice time! /dice allows you to roll. If the number is 5 or 6, or if there is no one on the number you rolled, re-roll. Warp immediately to the bridge area and kill the squares in question. GM's most commonly use Storm Gust and Desperado, and buff themselves with Enchant Deadly Poison beforehand. Other useful skills to have hotkeyed for Dice are Full Strip and a single target attack like Asura or Full Buster. - Since Russian Roulette tends to move quickly, you may hold up to 3 rounds at one time. - Be sure that participants occupy at least two squares at a time. - Never recall anyone to the Altar. - Announce the winner, and recall them to another location for their prize. - Remember to log your event Here Back to top Russian Roulette Troubleshooting Q: I saw a player cheat but I don't know who. It gives meaning to numbers 5 and 6. The game starts out as normal Dice. However, if you roll a 5, the game becomes Russian Roulette. If you roll a 6, the game returns to normal Dice. If you are unsure what Russian Roulette and Dice are, check their event sections in this guide. Again, it is recommended that you have at least 1-2 other GMs for backup. WARP: (recommend you hotkey these) Altar: quiz_01 237 277 Bridge:quiz_01 238 282 Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Here is a broadcast outline. However, if I roll a 5, the game becomes like Russian Roulette (where the number I roll is safe and all others are killed). If I roll a 6, the game will return to normal Dice rules. I will announce the changes as we go to avoid confusion. If the number is a 5, announce the change to the rules and roll again. If the game is in Russian Roulette and you roll a 6, announce that change and roll again. Warp immediately to the bridge area and kill the square(s) in question. GM's most commonly use Storm Gust and Desperado, and buff themselves with Enchant Deadly Poison beforehand. Other useful skills to have hotkeyed for Dice are Full Strip and a single target attack like Asura or Full Buster. - Depending on how short this event is (how long it stays in Russian Roulette or not), you may wish to hold an extra round or two. Please do not exceed 3 rounds at one time, and please use your best judgement to decide if the round was short enough to hold more. - Be sure that participants occupy at least two squares at a time. - Never recall anyone to the Altar. - Announce the winner, and recall them to another location for their prize. - Remember to log your event Here Back to top Wildcard Dice Troubleshooting Q: I saw a player cheat but I don't know who. Back to top Warp Portal This is a fun, quick little event that is popular among the players, and is a good solution when you want to squeeze in a quick event before WoE or GvG. Each GM has their preference about what maps to send their participants to, just make sure the maps you choose are not accessible to players. WARP: (some examples) You win: quiz_01 353 67 quiz_02 301 248 quiz_02 140 285 quiz_02 50 63 quiz_02 134 348 quiz_02 337 74 You lose: ayo_dun01 25 270 fcity 89 123 *Type /memo to save your coordinates* Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline: Come to (insert @go warp here) for a Warp Portal event! (At this point you open portals to the starting map and let people join) Last warps for Warp Portal at @go xx Welcome to Warp Portal! I will open three portals, one leads to safety, two lead to death. I will repeat this with the winners of each round until one player remains. Portals opening on the left! - Remember not to send them back to the same coordinates you're currently at. Two winning maps and one death map is all you need, just keep switching the two. - Make sure all the players go through the warps before joining them. Remove anyone who is AFK. - If there is only a couple players still yet to go through the portals, summon three portals to ensure they've not purposefully waited for the final portal which will lead you and them to safety. - You can host two or three Warp Portals at a time. - You will need to remove battleignore and unhide if you want to go through other GM portals. Back to top Warp Portal Troubleshooting Q: The last contestants went through the same warp and both died, and now I have no winner. A: The best solution is to ask the last participants to choose separate warps. You can also host several rounds of Warp Portal until you have a winner. Q: I accidentally used the current map for my portals, and players have reappeared.. A: There is nothing you can do except summon the correct map. Back to top ________________________________________________________________________ Trivia Events: Mindbreaker Also known as True or False, a Game Master makes a series of statements, and players must pick which side to choose (X for false and O for true). This event is one of the more stressful events for a GM, since there is a lot of coordination and typing you have to get right. That doesn't mean it isn't fun, indeed it's great fun when you're confident. WARP: quiz_01 140 285 Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline: A Mindbreaker event is open at @go 10! Last call for Mindbreaker, come to @go 10! Closed! Welcome to Mindbreaker! This event is like true and false I will make a statement, and you must pick a side of the map X means my statement is false. O means my statement is true. The side who gets it wrong dies. You will only have 20 seconds to decide where to go. Anyone left on the bridge will be killed. After every round, come back to the bridge. Please don't try to cheat or break my ice wall. Round one: The French word for cheese (fromage) literally means "to have aged." 20 seconds! (etc) - Always stay hidden or players will see which side you are on, and subsequently, what the correct answer is. - In order to keep people from cheating, you must ice wall the bridge. But make sure you are closed in with the losing side - Ice wall the bridge before you announce the losing side. - Have your statements ready before you start your event. - Be confident. If players do not listen to the rules you can remove them. Back to top Password This is a game of quick thinking, knowledge, and wits, as players try to gain access to the Game Master's private chat based on the question they ask. There are typically Six to Eight rounds. WARP: Any town Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline: Password event at @go 6! The first person to gain access to my chat wins the round. There will be eight (or however many) round. The passwords will be no more than 8 letters and no less than 3. No symbols, capitals, numbers, spaces etc will be used. If the answer is two words, the password will be one word. Rules: Do not make your own chat at any time during the event. Do not try to gain access to my chat until I'm done asking my question. Round one! Creating your Chat: Title: Your title can be the number of the round, or a category, or pretty much anything you like. Limit: 2 people Public: Private Type: Chat Room (this never changes) Sign: This is your password, The minimum password is 4 characters, 8 characters maximal. - Have all your questions ready before you announce the event. - Broadcasting while in a chat is the same as always, use local broadcasts in either of your chat boxes. - You will either have to ask the winners to deal you, or recall them, since the amount of players will make it hard to find them. - Announce the winner of every round. - Announce the answer after each round. Back to top Password Troubleshooting Q: Players are saying someone is spamming or verbally abusing during the event, but my chat prevents me from seeing all chat. A: Make a character you never plan to use, and bring him to the event so you can watch all chat. Q: Oh crap, I think I misspelled the password. A: You can do one of two things: On your legit character, try to enter the chat. If it works you'll know that players are just having trouble with the question. Or you can close the chat, and tell the players you made a mistake and need to restart. You should have extra questions ready for precisely this reason. Q: The same person keeps winning and I'm being accused of cheating. A: Here's hoping you are not cheating, in which case you have nothing to worry about. Q: I know I typed the password correctly, but it's been a long time and know one's guessed it, what do I do? A: You can give a hint, but try not to make it too easy for them. Back to top ________________________________________________________________________ Other Events: Guess That Monster This is a game of quick thinking and knowledge of monsters as players try to guess the monster that the Game Master's disguised as. You want to be seen for a fair Round. - Have your chat box expanded as far as possible and have a sharp eye for the winner. - Don't PM anyone unless they are the winner. - Tell the winner that they won and they need to step forward so YOU can DEAL THEM. - You will get LOTS of pm's. Don't panic, just be calm and be sure to pm the right person for a win. Back to top Hide and Seek Also one of ForsakenRO's most endearing events, Hide and Seek requires a Game Master to disguise and hide on a map and broadcast clues to the players. The map you choose must be accessible to them through @warp. You can host up to 15 rounds, and a minimum of 3. To disguise, first type @disguise 111. This makes you invisible. Next type @fakename … WARP: Any accessible map Host: 1 Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If appicable) Broadcast outline: A Hide and Seek event will begin momentarily Round One! I am disguise as a chat bubble with three yellow dots. Say "I found you" and stand next to me to win! First clue: I am surrounded by sand and palm trees (for example) This map has the largest population of Condors. You can give updates on how many players are on your map and so on. I've got quite a few players on my map. All of you are walking by me! I'm very small so look carefully :) Mr.Spellman has found me! I was hiding at moc_fild12 114 26! - Wait a few minutes between clues. - It is good if you give a recap of your clues once in a while. - Try to hold at least one round in a city, to accommodate newbies. - Before you announce the winner, give him their coupons to avoid a crowd when players arrive at your coordinates. - Your fake name doesn't have to be … But you should let players know, since this is what they're most used to. Back to top Hide and Seek Troubleshooting Q: The first player to find me died right after, does he still win? A: Yes. Q: I got disconnected, and before I could re-disguise, a player saw me. A: No sweat, just announce what happened and find a new spot on another map. Q: Two players said I found you at the exact same time. A: The players must say I found you at the same exact time, in which case they each get 3 coupons. Q: A player found me but didn't say it. Another player came along and said "I found you" at which point the first player argues that he is the first one to find you. A: You stated the rules when the event began. If he didn't say I found you, he didn't win. Back to top Novice Dodgeball On a level 1/1 novice character, players must avoid marine spheres summoned by two or more GMs (1 makes the event too easy for the players and too difficult for the hosting GM). Players may not wear any gear or use any items. WARP: quiz_02 244 364 Host: 2(Min) Prize: 7 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline Novice Dodgeball will open in 5 minutes! For this event, you will need a level 1/1 novice. Please use this time to prepare yourself. Novice Dodgeball is now open! You have 5 minutes to join. Welcome to Novice Dodgeball! In this event, we will be summoning marine spheres and causing them to explode. Your goal is to be the last player alive. For this event, you may not use Trick Dead. Any equipment and items are also forbidden. We will be divesting you now. Please note that, if we see you using any items to increase your walking speed or survivability, you will be disqualified and killed. The same goes for if we see you survive a marine sphere's explosion. Alright, we're ready to start! - Occasionally broadcast how long until the NPC opens (i.e. 3 minutes, 1 minute...). - Occasionally broadcast how long until the NPC closes (i.e. 3 minutes, 1 minute...). - Make sure you have the skills "Summon Marine Sphere", "Magnum Break", and "Arrow Repel" on your skill bar for this event. - ONLY use the Novice Dodgeball NPC to let players into the event. Do not use the GM NPC to summon Marine Spheres. - Make sure you have effects on for this event to detect any cheating. - Summon and explode Marine Spheres until only one player is alive. - Announce the winner once the event ends. - You may host up to 3 rounds of Novice Dodgeball at one time. Back to top Novice Dodgeball Troubleshooting Q: The final two players died in an explosion at the same time, making this a tie. A: In your broadcast, make note of the tie and award each player 3 Event Coupons. Q: A player told me that they saw another player using items or survive a Marine Sphere's explosion. What do I do? A: Unfortunately, unless you saw them yourself, there is nothing you can do. This is part of the reason you need more than one GM to host this event. However, if several players claim the same, you may make a decision based on your own judgement of the reports. Back to top Poring Ball Poring ball is one of those event's where it's fun just watching. The goal is to "kick" the poring into the goal. It requires two Game Masters to be hosted. WARP: quiz_02 244 364 Host: 2 Prize: 5 Event Tokens to each member and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline Poring Ball will open in 5 minutes! (Occasionally broadcast how long until the NPC opens) Poring ball is now open! You have 5 minutes to join! To speed things up when you have joined please leave your party using /leave (Occasionally broadcast how long until the NPC closes) Your main object in this event is to to get the Poring Ball /Soccer Ball into the opposite teams net.The person with the most points at the end wins. We will now pick parties please be patient. Also please do not subscribe for any colors as of yet. (Subscribewhich color your team will be.) Parties have been choosen you may now talk to the Organizer to go and join the soccer match! - You can host multiple rounds of Poring Ball just make sure to tell them that before hand. Back to top Scavenger Hunt Players must gather a list of items given by the Game Master and give it to them. The prize is unique to every GM, but should reflect how difficult the items are to obtain, and how many of each item a player must get. If you make a long list, be prepared to wait a while WARP: Any town Host: 1 Prize: Frist Place : GM specific and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Second Place: GM specific and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Third Place : GM specific and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline Get ready for a scavenger hunt in a few minutes! For this round of scavenger, you will need to bring me: 200 fluff, 300 shiny scale, 250 white mask and 2 poopoo hat. The first three players to bring me those items get a prize. I am sitting at @go 21. You can use www.ratemyserver.net to see what mobs drop these items. - Occasionally repeat what items you need and where you are. - Choose the amount of coupons according to the length and difficulty of hunting the items. - The prize decreases from first to third place. - Announce the winners and their place as they come. - Make sure that the items you choose: Are light enough for the average player to carry at one time Cannot be purchased at an NPC Cannot be easily bought from players Are not already used in custom quests Are not valuable in the fRo market Are dropped by populous mob Are not MVP cards or MVP drops uniquely Are not donation, event, or WoE items, or any items players need to donate for Back to top Scavanger Hunt Troubleshooting Q: It's been forever, and no one has showed up to give me the items. A: This will naturally make you think that no one is hunting, but there is always someone. You can broadcast and ask if anyone is still doing the event, and you'll usually get a response. Q: A player brought me everything, but they mixed up the name of an item with another. A: Unfortunately, you cannot accept different items than what you originally asked for. Tell them they made a mistake and give them the correct name for the item. Back to top Survival and Non-Donation Survival The player's goal is to be the last one alive among the waves of aggressive monsters, summoned by the Game Master. All mobs are the same for donor and non-donor survival, with the exception of the MVP, which is Thanatos and Gloom Under Night respectively. WARP: Survival: pvp_n_1-5 NDSurvival: pvp_n_3-5 Host: 1 Prize: 10 Event Tokens and 1 Seasonal Package (If applicable) Broadcast outline: Welcome to Survival/Non-donation Survival! I will summon mobs, and you must attempt to be the last player alive. Rules: no novices, basilica, kaizel, or monster summon items. Get ready for the monsters! - To summon, simply select the waves from the GM NPC (in ascending order) - Player encouragement is welcome, and is sometimes needed to move the event along. - When there are no more than 3-4 players, pay close attention so that you don't miss who died last (if there are tons of mobs). - Remember to clear the map of mobs once the event is over. (right click the monster and select kill. It speeds up the process for the bosses.) Back to top Survival/ND Survival Troubleshooting Q: The last player alive also died, does that mean there's no winner? A: Since he was the one to live the longest, he is still the winner. Q: Can there be multiple winners? A: Yes, and this depends on the GM's preference. Some of us like to have only one winner, so we'll summon until that happens. And some prefer to summon one of each wave, have the players kill them all, and declare whoever is left after the winners. Each receives 5 event coupons. Q: No one is making an effort to kill the summons. A: Unfortunately, this is what Survival has evolved into. Summon slowly until they attract agro. Q: Is there such a thing as too many mobs? A: No, but this doesn't mean you can spam them. Summon them gradually, if you see everyone avoiding them, keep summoning slowly. There have been 30 Thanatos in there at one time with everything else and people still haven't died. Q: I didn't see who died last, what do I do? A: Most often there are dead players still watching the event who can tell you who died first, or their names. I suggest that when so few players remain, that you get their name and recognize their class, so you can identify them better. Back to top Saving Bob This event takes a little to set up, but that doesn't mean it's any less fun! It is indeed fun to see how people work to escort you out of lhz_dun03 to the city of Lighthalzen! Basic Information: The goal of this event is to escort bob out of lighthalzen dungeon and into the city. This event has no time limit. You are encouraged to kill the person escorting Bob or summon or lure monsters to get Bob killed so you can win. As of now only one person may win this event. Rules: Must be level 255 to participate. Parties are allowed. Bob will not accept party invites. Running off Bob's screen cloaking, dying, or letting Bob die will cause him to warp away. You must find bob and say "follow me" for bob to follow you. All items are allowed. Notes: Suggestions are open to this event. Leading Bob into lighthalzen in will not make you win. You have to lead him into the city. Bob will not warp near players or mvps. If Bob dies or his escort dies he will warp on the same map (unless he dies or his escort dies in the inn, then he will warp back onto lhz_dun01). Prize:20 Event tokens. That is some basic information and rules all found in the WIKI that you will lead players to before beginning the event. It takes to long to type it out, so once announced to go to the wiki, you will tell players to PM you or @request that they have read the rules and information of the event. Once you have a decent number of people say they are ready. The amount of people can be determined by the hosting GM to begin the event and others will join as they finish. You will use /nb for all the broadcast for this event. The broadcast outline will be shown below this as to what you will type. Broadcast Outline: Saving Bob will begin in 5 minutes Before this event begins I will need everyone to go to the WIKI pageand search “Saving Bob” on forsaken-ro.net/forum Once you have read the event there please PM or @request stating you have read about the event! Once I have a certain number of people ready for the event it will begin! Alright, the event will begin momentarily (That once you have enough people that have read the WIKI) I seem to have gotten lost in lhz_dun03 please come help me out of here! These next broadcast will vary depending on what happens My escort has died, please come help me in lhz_dun03! (warp away to another location on the map) My escort has let me die, please come help me in lhz_dun03! (Same, warp somewhere else in the map) My escort as wandered away from me, please come help me in lhz_dun03! (Same, warp somewhere on the map) My escort has disappeared and deserted me, please come help me in lhz_dun03! (Same warp somewhere on the map. And that is if they cloak, since you won't be wearing any gears so you warp off) Hooray I've made it to lhz_dun02 now! Hooray I've made it to lhz_dun01 now! Hooray I've made it to the inn now! Congratulations to ______ for winning Saving Bob! (That once you are in the city. If they lead you to the inn that is not a win yet.) Also if you or your escort die in the inn or they wander off your screen or cloaks. You warp back to lhz_dun01. Bob setup: Reset to a 1/1 novice. @job 0 will change you to a novice with your base and job level at 1.
