Just go to the wiki for guide. Other than the stuff from there. here's a tip: Find a lvl 255 hi wiz and ask him/her to boost you. Go to for_fild06 and you'll be 255 255 in about 30 minutes. Also, its better to have a hi wiz to so you can boost your succeeding characters. Making characters is easy. Making them elite and gearing them up is hard.
