Because ( depending on the kind of glue ) it needs water or air to harden, which both isn't present within the tube. Why do things get darker when they get wet? Because of the fluid's surface tension changes the way the cloth or whatever relfects light. Normal body temperature is 98.6 ,so why do we feel hot when it's 98 degrees outside? I wish I knew. :< Why is the sky blue? The sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.
