Tempest Kin Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 I'm not really a good offensive player, ( Partially why I dislike PvP for the most part D: ). I've always been more of a support character playing a Clown/Alchemist mostly because I love the class systems to em, and sometimes a High priest or even a Professor. I've played WS's mostly for farming/selling stuff to things, but... I can also play a decent defending character but I normally just assisted them in the past. Yet, I haven't really noticed a need or want for any type of supports on HR servers, and well I haven't seen many clowns or stuff around. it's mostly Sinx, Snipers, Monks and Lord Knights. Sometimes I'll see a bunch of mages but... I'm just wondering is there really any need for support characters? or anyone who dip's really? I'm still kinda new and haven't talked to anyone yet... I'm not good with talking to people. D: I'm just wondering mostly really, do support characters play any supporting roles or is it... Every man for themselves kinda thing? =/ Edit : Oh and how do you get the Amistr hat? Is it donation only? I plan on donating when I get some money or what not just curios is all :)
Tempest Kin Posted November 14, 2008 Author Report Posted November 14, 2008 Wheee thanks! Amistr is soooooo cute :3 Okay, well then I'll just keep focusing on support I love it so :) Thanks :3
Emy Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 I love support paladin. I like sacrificing myself for my party or guild. Devotion during GVG or WOE can get very challenging because your devoees will be running everywhere, you won't be able to see them well, and you'll be trying to stay alive. I find support fun. In fact, some players rely on Devo so much, that without it, they're not even half as good as if they had it on.
Ryoji Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 There's several players who play support... And as Emy said, half the players who talk big aren't anything without support most the time. However, many people don't play support for long or much due to the fact they get overlooked. Example... A sinx and a pally take over an entire castle by themselves. The pally is pure devo support...But the sinx takes the castle... The pally gets overlooked, and the sinx gets the fame =] That's usually how it rolls for most support classes. You kind of have to only get entertainment for being used.

Or you actually LIKE helping people out. I know. Shocker, right? Personally, I main a High Priest and I love it. It makes me happy to know that I can aid in helping out my friends via buffs and Heals. Also, when people thank you after you buff them, it's a good feeling. :]
Genesis Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Support classes own if used/played right in a raid or in a partied PvP. PS: Lol@ryoji's avatar.
