She didn't say he was alive. Actually, she didn't even say he was dead, but it was heavily implied by both Kakashi and Tsunade.

I've been catching up on what has been happening in the anime. Watching Asuma die made me depressed, even though I never really cared about him at first, or thought he was important. I can't wait to watch Hidan die, even though he is funny.

The Black Santa Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Lol, Naruto in manga was going super downhill for like 50 chapters, it was all about sasuke to the point where they should have named the manga "Sasuke" but, atm at least the manga is starting to ascend uphill. ;P

That would get extremly boring for the 340 something chapters out there. Sasuke is considered a main character, so the manga would have to show alittle about him too. A title isn't everything maybe they would connect later.

It got kind of hectic and boring at that point. But now that the manga is starting to move uphill, all is well. :santa:

Dissidia Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 If you did read some of the interviews with Kishimoto (Naruto's Creator) he did say he wanted to focus on one character for a while then move to another and then so on and so forth. In this case he focused on Sasuke + Hebi/Hawk, but now the focus is on Pain and Konoha. Obviously since Naruto is the main character there has to be some focus on him, which is why they briefly switch over to his training at Myoubokuzan.
