I have a view on this too.

Since Forsaken RO, renewed the items which are dropped from the treasures, WoE is a bit more attractive.

As you all know that is not a complete set.

So my new WoE idea is 4 Castles, Unique drops, the Location (prontera, aldebaran, geffen or payon) is each week different and so will the gears. After that week, the guild keeps castle, but it can't be taken, neither will it give treasures.

It gives Unique treasures in the week that it's available.

We already have helmet, aura and wings, so the other Castle drops could be, armor, boots and cloak. Which would make an Unique and new WoE set.

The droprate will be lowered for all of the set-drops(including the current ones), to make it more balanced.

Hard working guilds will be rewarded for their efforts.

Maps are yet to be decided (but I have a few in mind already).

It now is up to you as a player to either agree or disagree with my suggestion and if possible give a valid reason.

Take all suggestions and add some more, make a topic post screenshots of all the areas individually then vote on them for 2-4 days. End of discussion. =]

I think kriemhild is way to easy and small to conquer. The 1st one from naomi screen looks way better.

I think that kriem being small is a good thing, it will make defenders have to use chokepoints instead of just huddling in the emp room.

Naomi's castles are good, but I hate giant maps. More room=more ranged units=more stunlock=harder to move around=waste of time+berries.

The best bets of castles are those from Alde.

Why?

It's going to be real hard to access the Emp Room. This will also give the team holding the castle an advantage.

So once you get through the defenses and warping tricks, you are in the Emp Room [ Alde's Emp Rooms are rather huge ;_; ]. Guild Masters that passed the tricks can e-call and fight for the emp :] [ Epic Battle FTW ]

Once the invading team gets the emp, they will now have the advantage and so on and so forth. :[

I'm all for it. What I like most about your idea is that it takes up to a whole month for a guild to obtain the WoE items, (depending on whether they keep the castle or not) and even then the drop rate is quite low. This effectively makes WoE more attractive and preserves balance in game play. I'm not saying that the new unique WoE items will be overpowered, I'm just saying that they do give an advantage to the people that possess them.

I guess now we'd have to find a way to evenly pair up the Unique WoE set items. This would change depending on which piece is the most useful but I think it should look something like this:

Prontera- Armor, Boots

Aldebaran- Aura, Cloak

Geffen- Wings, Cloak

Payon- Helm, Boots

We could add accessories to the equation but I don't see a point, I think the Belts that we have now are fine.

Chain Combo shouldn't release you from a blade stop of your enemy if you're not from the Monk class.

Read the description well, also a smart champion would use level 3 blade stop instead if such things were implemented.

It would totally nerf the card again and will be rendered useless.

Learn to use skills instead of simply click your enemy on auto-attack and berry.

Classes always needed skills, HR made them less effective than the 195 aspd auto-attack, but added an extra flaw in it.

Too bad most players are not willing to find ways around that, if they would, then they would be considered 'good and skilled' players.

And please, give comments about my WoE idea, we do not want to implement things that isn't chosen by the community.

No feedback means another idea going to waste and then you guys complain about not enough changes.

Give feedback on our idea's so we can improve/change them.

A "smart" Champion won't be able to use Lvl 3 Blade Stop unless he makes a new Monk cause you cannot choose the lvl of the skill itself.

And on topic:

Yea the Castle change every week is a pretty good idea. Keeps it interesting. So I'm in for it.

Still, Blade Stop IS gay. Atleast reduce the time to maybe 15 secs instead of 1min.

It's a skill like any other, maybe we should nerf magic classes more.

They hurt quite hard if you don't use GTB (or any other magic reducing/reflecting items).

Anyway, I'd rather see more feedback on the actual topic than about a class which is overplayed

and considered 'overpowered'.

Noone would make a monk just to use Lvl 3 Blade Stop cause you cannot use Asura then. And Blade Stop -> Asura is a important part to take down a Pally for example. ( That's for nondonation btw.)

Of course it's a skill like any other. Magic Classes don't need a nerf at all. Maya / Detale is totally enough. Also they die pretty fast. But against Blade Stop you can't do anything but don't touch them, especially when you're getting ganged.

So,

Atleast reduce the time to maybe 15 secs instead of 1min.

1. No way, lolradiate had that and it was almost impossible to take it. There is only 1 entrance, 1 staircase, 1 opening to attack EMP.

2. Passage too long to reach the EMP, not really great.

In conclusion, I'd say Kriemhild would be best.

I favor these castles. It will be difficult to take from defenders, but a well-planned WoE gameplay might work.

This will also give more relief to the Guild who owns the castle during last minute attacks.

Invading guilds might get warped in the wrong portal and narrow paths will make snipers a bit more helpful.

Eh, the number of castles open directly pertains to the amount of players online, Moonie. Meaning, if there's 5 guilds participating in WOE and 4 castles are open.. that's kind of pointless, right? You also have to think. Let's say there's 10 guilds participating in WOE and 2 castles open... what if both castles are taken but all the rest of the guilds are only focusing on one emperium? You know what I mean?

I don't WOE yet.. so I won't even mention the castles I like. DX

I agree i think more than one castle should be open at a time

it would inspire more people to do woe and make it more interesting

And this castle is good for wizards because it has a water field near the Emperium. (Becareful whoever does not wear GTB)

In ethereal-revenge, we had nearly all the castles open BUT...some castles didn't drop anything while others dropped good things. It's a matter of what you put in what castle to drop. If a castle doesn't drop anything, then it'd be pointless to go for it. So why not have a few good castles open that drop what THIS ONE castle drops, and spread it over 2-4 good castles and see what happens?

It'll be a bit more of a hassle for GM's to watch everyone during WoE, but it'd be more fun.
