Defiance Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Its probably just me, but I sort of miss the individuality of people making guilds because they aim for a particular castle. Its like they develop their own legacy because people see them along with other guilds that are standing on the top. People see them and say, "Oh, its xxx guild! They rock. They defended Kriemhild without fail." Others say, "oh this is the guild that holds Skoegul. They aren't so bad, but they need more coordination. But at least they can hold their castle pretty well." The more guilds that own a castle, the more motivated the other guilds to challenge those top guilds. Well, this sort of event happens because of the castle drops. Having more castles makes these castle drops less rarer and more available into circulation. If only one guild owns a castle, then there would be monopolization of the said drops. I've been exposed to the castle economy system, and the longer a guild successfully defends their castle, the larger their economy becomes (larger economy = more chances of getting rarer drops). We don't even have an active guild recruitment thread. The only reason why I'm saying this is because most guilds could care less about their players. They don't dress them up because they barely had reason to. WOE is never taken seriously because it has become mainly something only a few people enjoy. Only Limitless has the proper WOE attitude I must say. But if there were more choices aside from one castle, then there would be more reasons for guilds to expand their armies. Lower people would then go to several guilds and try to make their way to the top. There is also a possibility of having more economic trends, most likely a pair of pros and cons, but at least there would be more versatility. The people here are filthy rich already. If they had an army to feed, then their wealth would be put to good use. They could hand out guild salaries to those who cannot afford yet. Its never Limitless' problem, its just there are no other castles to attack. Limitless has proved themselves in terms of organization and gameplay, so there's no doubt they got the right WOE attitude. Another point is, only the guild leaders enjoy the castle drops. If the "Economy Point" system is introduced, then the drops can be used to feed their army' needs. Well, thats just based on experience. I've been playing WOE for too long that I missed the old school way.

People are still too accustomed to the way WoE used to be, where they could one man an emperium with a survival sinx. Now they're complaining because that doesn't work anymore, and most are unwilling to try other things. Regardless, those who complain will be passed by the people who are willing to overcome that obstacle through other means. There are already signs of these guilds being formed, it just takes a little time.

limitless Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Yep, as stated, WoE would funner if more guilds WoE'd seriously. To do this, all you have to do is make WoE drops necessary. People can live without a few stats or a little faster walk speed. They can sit out WoE and survive just as well in PvP; but if you make the items dropped a necessity, like day auras and night auras are now, they will have no other choice but to get them. With the desire created from that, naturally more people will WoE, to the point where it is no longer dominated by a single guild. Over time, there will be an abundance of these items in a variety of guilds, and they will also be available to the market, at expensive prices. This server has lacked something exclusive quite some time. It's not a rare sight to see someone with full donations and day/night auras. People get full donations, but it's still the same as everyone else. Eventually, they get bored and leave the server. Creating greater necessities will open possibilities in PvP, while widening the range of items available and allowing select players to reach higher plateaus.

Motivation to make more guilds could be something like each GM hosting their own guild, Kind of like TLMS but for WoE. The more castles we open just means random little guilds achieving castles; No competition, No fun. & Because WoE isn't that big of a thing right now, 2 days seems like to much for a server where only one or two guilds WoE.

"Where is woe today" "Whats the map name" etc..

Coz every castle have different levels of difficulty to defend or attack. And frankly speaking, some guys here might have already memorized Fadgridh so much, that they can reach the Emp room w/ both eyes closed. And I think everyone has their own favorite castle I think. And maybe, access to F.dungeon as a prize will be fair enough, not only for the guildmaster but also for their noob members.

Sat WoE - Guild Titans Got Agit (Castle) = 5 points Wed WoE - Guild Titans Denfended Agit (Castle) = 10 points Sat WoE - Guild Gungnir Got The Agit (Castle from Titans) = 5 points Every Castle Taken = 5 points Every Castle Defend = 10 Points Can be done every Month and top guild with the highest score will be the winner and have some Special Price from the Gamemaster then publish in Game and In Forum Who will be the TOP GUILD of The month.
