  1. 1. How is your connection doing after the server move?

    • It started to lag a bit, but nothing serious.

  2. 2. If you're experiencing lag, what seems to be the cause?

    • My modem became less active, therefore the lag spikes occur

I'm playing from Thailand, and somehow I find that after the server move, my lag spikes skyrocketed. I get pummeled by monsters without having the chance to close in for melee (the monster is melee, too, but normally what I see is they hit me 6-7 cells away and I can't hit them)

My CPU spikes up to 100% when it rarely happen prior to the server move when I maintain my HDD properly, but today is just intolerable. And don't tell me to get better computer/connection since it wasn't lagging before the server move.

After you vote, please post where are you playing from and if possible, your ping.

My ping average is 502ms, halfway to timeout.

I only get an occasional lag spike here and there. But that's expected. I live in Oklahoma, which isn't far away from Chicago, so in my case; it's not distance. And my modem works fine, and my comp... Don't even joke about it.

I'm lagging so much that I can't even play the game T_T

They better fix the lagg fast cause I'm running out of porn >.>

I've heard a lot of people complaining about the lag even BEFORE the server moved.

Its Physically impossible to please everyone with lag; it depends where you live your IPS and your computer itself ( including video card), don't believe me? Go to http://just-ping.com/

and Ping:

forsakenserver.net

Anything below 150 = NO LAG

150~200 = Lag Spike.

As you can see, the North American Continent ( and most of Europe) it lag free. You also have to consider that if you play from Asia your connection has the largest ocean in the world to cross.

I can't use all checkpoints, sorry.

But try to look at certain places close to it.

China->Shanghai has a 10% packet loss (which means total lag).

And Singapore has like a ping of 355ms, I think you should be around that too.

Or you can try to open Command:

Start -> Run -> cmd

Type: ping forsakenserver.net

And you should then look at the average one.

What's with servers and moving them to Chicago? This is like the fourth server that did it recently..

Anyways. It all depends where you're located. Usually the further you are away from the server the more you'll lag.
