The story of ForsakenRO through my perspective.

Alright, so the story starts off as this.

I was playing nlRO one day (yeah I know), and Genesis goes "Hey Pat." and tells me about his awesome idea of a server.

I enjoyed the idea and asked when it would be released. He answered that it would be released in 1 month.

So, after a month, the server opens. No, this was not ForsakenRO, this was FantasyRO. This was Genesis' first server.

After a month or so, it shut down because of its somewhat unpopular server, and Genesis did not have the time or effort to change things around (we had +1000 all stats SGH, stat purchasers and omg! angra mainyu and ahura mazdas).

After another year of playing nlRO, Genesis msns me and tells me of another server he plans to open. This time it isn't his server exactly, it was from a guy named Alex. So, I asked him if I knew this "Alex", he said no. It was a college friend of his. So after that, I was waiting for a few weeks and got impatient because he told me it would be done in 2 months. After about 2 months, the server was still not finished. So, as impatient as I was already, I had the impulse to ask him if I could test what was done already. So, by suprise, he arranged a specific time where I could test it, he also sent me a screenshot of a future item of what he calls a "Marshmellow hat". Yes it was mispelt by him. It was later corrected by some guy (I forgot the name).

So I wait; after a week, the server was "somewhat" finished. There were NO custom NPCs anywhere, no custom shops, no custom hometown. The only thing custom about it was a lot of unimplemented ideas and a Marshmallow hat.

So, I quickly recieved the .exe and got on as quick as possible to the server you know as (pre)Beta ForsakenRO.

The next thing that happend was the "idea" of adding a Hollow Mask along with an "Ichigo" NPC.

After a couple of days, Genesis decided to scrap the idea because the mask looked ugly and the NPC failed.

The next thing on the agenda after the server was done, was to create an installer.

After that was done, I installed it and got on ASAP. While doing so, we were still testing delays, fixing bugs, and item equality, along with drops and implementation of other ideas.

Once all of that was done, the server was wiped and Ami was the first to log on (plus she fucking stole my #3 spot on forums).

After that, OCT, Drax, Kinketsu and a few others went on and created MvP Bangers or something. It was pretty successful considering we only had about 5 people, and 3 were in that guild.

So, as the person I was, I made a shitty guild named "Zao." and started to rebel against them. Little did I know that botting was legal back then, and I was out numbered. Sadly, the stole a lot of MvPs too D:.

So, the MvP drop rate was 5%. We were able to collect some MvP cards. Eventually, when we reached our 3rd NEW member that was not part of the original 5. We increased the drop rate to 10%. I, however, retaliated and thought 5% was fine (since I had a lot of MvP cards already, including Valkyrie *cough cough*) and the MvP health and stats were boosted.

Kinketsu and I were pals and worked on MvPing together, he stole my builds and I stole his kills. However, we shared the loot.

The thing is, after a few days, the drop rate was further increased to 15%. It was an outrage! I complained and complained and brought many points up. Eventually, it was dropped back to 10% after a couple of hours.

Finally, the website was somewhat completed and the server was stable. The forums were also up (but found out it was illegal) and then shut down by Falco (not the one in ForsakenRO). After a week or so, the forums were up again, and were legal.

After the 3rd day of ForsakenRO opening, we found out that Frigg's Circlet, Morpheus's Hood, and Morrigane's Helm were bugged and gave the "Donation helm" look.

After a week or two, after all the major bugs were fixed, we were tired of leveling up so slowly, so Genesis was kind enough to implement a EXP room just for Beta only.

After that, Genesis decided to create a hometown, something that would make ForsakenRO different from the rest. It eventually came down to this prairie land known as @warp forcity. By implementing "Forsaken City", it meant the EXP room was gone and it was technically "officially open".

Oh, I almost forgot, on the 2nd or 3rd day, I killed the FIRST MvP with my wizard (braging rights, I know).

Yes, it was a Baphomet. Anyways, back on topic. Everyone ended up quickly leveling up all their characters before the city was gone. It was pretty much an account creating spree, from Drax making about 19 bot accounts (I remember one of them was I <3 Beaner) to myself making my second account (which I still have).

The angeling was actually the healer. It bounced up and down. The Ichigo NPC was removed the moment @warp forcity was introduced. Hollow Mask was never implemented, however I had the screens of it somewhere...

Part 2:

After a short amount of time, Genesis msned me with a brand new idea. An MvP event. I was suprised and asked how it worked. He told me some minor ideas about it, and I gave him a few pointers myself. Then he asked me, "I plan to make a custom MvP with it."

While we were waiting for the MvP event to start, somehow PvP was enabled and someone went afk... this is what happend.

It was grand and a spectacular idea in my opinion. Before he implemented it, he told me it was a Paladin MvP, like the LHZ ones.

After awhile of beating it, I killed it... and somehow the MvP kept respawning every 3 minutes, so I just killed it over... uhh... I forgot.

After the event, Genesis took a break from implementing things (I think that was the last time he took a break) and he decided to hang out with the legits. We all went to Thanatos Tower to chat about stuff. Eventually, I got bored and wondered if I could kill Genesis. Knowing that he has @heal and a shit load of health, I decided to use an Edge. He laughed at me and said "You can't kill me with that", since I was only doing 100ish damage. However, he soon fell to my mighty Edge.

Yes, this means I am the first to kill a GM with a legit. This also means I am the first to kill Genesis (I still have his skull /gg)

After that ordeal, I went back to Prontera to refine something (because the old refiner didn't require any materials to refine + it refines everything), but I saw Mike (Damascus) and Kinketsu talking about pr0n stars.

Mike loves his pr0n.

After that, I heard an announcement saying that there were new quests implemented for @warp forcity. I went and checked it out.

I was suprised! I loved the new quests, the place was fuller and had a much more satisfying look.

The main thing that caught my eye was the Dragon Aurora quest, which was +5 all stats and 1 slot, which was amazingly good (at the time) and that Drax got it first (Darn you I <3 Beaner!!!). I was the third to get it D:.

Eventually, Kinketsu managed to get the first Lord Kaho's Horn and well... actually, he was the first to get the Lord Hako's Horn (cough cough)

Yes, the first LHK was Green. Anyways, after that, Kinketsu asked me to break Good Soup since we were full of n00bs. He told me to let him make a guild instead, so we created Pandemic (AMI MADE DAT EMBLEM).

This shortly broke down because Pat > Kinketsu.

After a short time, Genesis was on the test server adding items and such. He sent me a screen to show me some future items that were coming up. Of course, everybody knows these.

So, after that, Ami created a guild named Lunar, and wanted to ally with Good Soup (which at this time was recreated). Of course, I couldn't say no (Who can D:?).

Mmm, this brings back a lot of memories I had back in the past. I'll pin this as a memory of the past of Forsaken Ragnarok Online. Great Job Pat!

Part 3:

Ignoring the last screenshot, Drax was actually the FIRST person to ever donate for a donation set. He was showered with so much respect that even Alex (Relinquish) went on to congratulate him.

After awhile, I got really tired of being a guild master. Drax was too powerful with the 2 slotted equips (Yes, even the shield was 2 slotted) and I complained that it was too overpowered since my damage went from 7k double hit to 3k double hit.

So, it was changed and it became 1 slotted. Yes, this was my idea. So, I quit my guild and made my FPer (Dope) as Guild Master as I go guildless for awhile. But, soon I realized everyone was spamming guild invites all the time (even in battle as a way to distract me).

So, I rejoined Good Soup.

After that, this new girl named xIceFlame joins. Turns out she was a guy. He was actually a guy named Mustang *cough cough* and was a real bitch. I heard he died. No offense but I didn't like him at all. Anyways, we both had some fighting going on, and he usually gloated whenever he "miraculously" killed me once, when I've killed him hundreds of times.

After awhile, a new idea was in play, the TCG card. Which would provide a Flapping Deviling Wing to anyone who recieves one.

Yes, I was the first person to get a Flapping Deviling Wing.

After that, we started to get bored and decided to start trying to get a Thanatos. At that time, I had some difficulty doing the quest so I decided to create a guide for those in the future who want to do the Thanatos quest. In that sense, this familier picture comes into play.

After this, Genesis asked me to create a way for people to have a easier economy. So I thought for a bit, and told him about an idea that I just threw out from the top of my head. Coupons. After some slight adjustments to my idea, the coupons were implemented. Of course, no one gave me credit so I'm crediting myself. Anyways, Genesis and I were deciding how many coupons were a prize for events. We decided it to be 1. The first event was Kill the Porings Event, where 921309230213 Porings spawned at Prontera and kills for each person were recorded. I won that event and got 1 coupon. I thought to myself, if 100 coupons were a Donation Equip, and 25 were for Cards, it would take forever. So I kept my 1 coupon and got it changed to 7 for each event.

It's a shame I'm not even mentioned. I was back then with all the xIceFlame drama. Back in the old days when PvP events were made in prt_fild08.

Its a shame because you were barely on at those times. I remember you being one of the first ones to log on, but you decided to go back to nlRO /shy. I'll mention you as Zeitgeist comes along. However, that won't be until awhile later.

Part 4:

After the Thanatos incident. We (Good Soup) stopped killing Thanatos because we realized that it was kind of pointless to kill something that takes almost forever to spawn. After a short period of time, some more people join, which was a good thing. However, being the great person I was, I helped them out a bit and I realized many things.

1. 99.9% of people that play RO are noobs.

2. Number one is true.

Once things kind of settled down and we had about 30 people on daily, we started to recruit some GMs.

[GM]03, [GM]04, and [GM]05 were picked out of the population.

After a short bit of time, [GM]03 revealed her personal self, as in her legit character, which at the time was illegal.

After a bit of time, we started going on a GM killing spree, which ended up with them all recieving Ahura Mazdas as protection (this is a lie for the reason they got it).

It was fun for a bit but I found killing others was more fun.

After a while of wars with xIceFlame and her SoulSociety guild, she (at the time) became more and more angrier and became more of a bitch than a sore loser.

Once xIceFlame noticed her loss, she decided to try and "merge" with us. Since for some reason which she did not understand, people were leaving her guild for mine. So she broke SoulSociety and decided to join us. At the time, I did not really mind, after awhile though, I did.

Once the server hit around 50-70 people on daily, we started to see the first few retards on the server (noobs don't count). The first one was named...

Once the server hit about 80 people on daily. We started to get REAL pros into our server. One which I feel extremely proud of having them. They came as a guild named Legacy, and left as one too. They were good. Organized, professional, and experienced were only a few words for them. Of course, we got beaten by them even when Drax had donation items in our guild and they had not. We had a guild full of idiots who won't put on a Marc card even when I ask them to.

After that, Genesis msned me and spoke to me about this whole new idea of a new city. One which actually has buildings.

He sent me a picture of what it would look like. However, it all turned out to be somewhat... not exactly what I imagined. He sent me a wonderful picture with seas and boats and everything. The final result was Old Payon n.n;; which is our current Forsaken City. At first, the city was full of bugs. Green Ales were sold out free and we were clueless on how to get any alcoholic beverages from the city bar. After a while of figuring it out. We figured it out. Well... I was the first!

However, some party p00per arrived and started saying things n.n;

Part 5:

So, after the incident with Blade, Genesis wanted some ideas for some events. So, Ami and I started thinking. Since she was a GM on a previous server before; she stated some great events. You can all thank Ami for the Dice Event you all love today. After the Dice Event idea. We went and decided to make an LMS event for the PvPers. This way theres a balance of skill and luck.

Of course, the first few Dice Events didn't run quite smooth since anyone can talk to the Dice Event NPC and close it at any moment. Luckily, not many noticed this.

Since the events were created, we recieved more members and reached 92 members active.

Oh, this is also quite random. I just randomly saw Kinketsu say this after some time. I just want to add this for no reason D:

Anyways, after the server went on a population boom to over 100, we started seeing more assholes and more retards. Some changed for the better, some changed for the worse.

And of course, soon, there was rumor about a Halloween event which was not implemented. As I heard from Genesis, that there were Halloween tickets that dropped when you kill someone that carries one. Of course, there is way more into this that would take too long to explain. So what happend was Ami and I decided to choose another area since we were so successful with the Dice Event area choice (she chose it, I followed).

So, after Halloween passed, the idea was scrapped. Thus, bringing us to our second idea. The PvP ladder. At that point in time, I could only play on weekends, so I was at a disadvantage when I was trying to get up on the ladder. Also, yes, I've seen people kill a second client for a higher rank. Eventually, after 2 days (Friday night and Saturday), I reached the top.

After a bit of time, as you saw in the previous screenshot of Blade being an idiot, he somehow managed to get inside my guild.

He goes off and gets pissed after some time and decides to leave, which I don't question him. However, I think you should decide why I started killing him.

After that, more idiots arrived and started to be retards.
