Danger Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 HelloUsually we don't need to clarify with other players the reasons on why someone was banned, However, I'll just say that trying to help on server doesn't grant Immunity from the rules. I would like to continue the conversation about the current topic (the possibility of implementing the renewal interface) which i think can cause more problems than benefits.I don't know on which emulator is based the server, but i think that if that were easy, Genesis / Veracity would made it already

I would like to continue the conversation about the current topic (the possibility of implementing the renewal interface) which i think can cause more problems than benefits. I don't know on which emulator is based the server, but i think that if that were easy, Genesis / Veracity would made it already Not necessarily, not implementing would be due to just not needing the change. But still that'd be a good thing to do, plus the fact that renewal adds other features such as Endless Tower, Nidhoggur's Nest, etc. Just saying.
Bishop Posted January 21, 2016 Report Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) This topic will always remain a discussion as personal opinions regarding the interface differ. One thing is for sure that if we eventually make the move (if ever) we will create an implementation plan. Almost every change we make is tested beforehand, of course this won't be an exception. She was trying to implement renewal GUI into a locally hosted server, and then she got banned. It's just the fact that, in order to try that out, she might need to mess with the codes from the server, ofc my knowledge in that matter is limited. The reason for her ban had nothing to do with her offering help or her having a local test server. Her having a testserver also does not give her access to any codes related to FRO. She was blatantly breaking the server rules in other ways and thought it'd go unnoticed. As Danger stated, just because you offer to help the server, it doesn't mean you can break server rules and get away with it.Ps. We do have Endless tower and other in-game renewal events that didn't require the client change. Edited January 21, 2016 by Bishop

In regards of the ET and the other in-game renewal events that didn't require the client change, it makes it very feasible to implement the renewal GUI... right?
Danger Posted January 21, 2016 Report Posted January 21, 2016 Contrariwise, it means we already have most of the benefits you claim we would get if change to renewal (Endless tower as you mention for example)Also, I think instead of focus on a renewal interface change (which as already has been said, involves a lot of work + bug fixing to check everything runs smoothly) It's better to let the developers focus on new chapters in custom story/new seasonal quests and casual bug fixing on server
