Damascus Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I have my buffbot well hidden from the players where I FCP myself :o Don't see anyone bitching about me using it since I only use FCPs. I seriously say NO to the removing buffs before entering PvP since now that shit is the most dumbest thing ever presented to these forums before my eyes. Serioustothefuckingly, I play Paladin Class and the class is only good because of it's buffs ( Not Gospel/Devotion, I mean shield buffs ). By buffs being removed I hope you means buffs on other classes that don't belong to them that will exclude Weapon Elemental Alterations and Full Chemical Protection since those require Catalysts and are bitches to get redone during battle.
Confidance Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 It's clear where the argument is, although the poll disagrees.
Eclipse Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 i voted no even thought if i use it sometimes... if influence use it... if seek and destroy also use it... i would vote yes if EVERYBODY OF THE GAME COULD HAVE THAT ACCESS because it would be more fair and ppl wouldnt complain about it
Damascus Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Everyone could have access to it, you just need to find it.
Eclipse Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Everyone could have access to it, you just need to find it. You are correct... but many ppl dont know that exists or they might think its illegal to this server which is not... Genesis allowed Bot Buffs to be used... But some ppl think its a hack because the word Bot on it... so if Genesis could make everybody know about that ppl would start using them and the server PvP fights would last longer
Damascus Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Then tell them to find them and stfu. I assure you if everyone managed to find it they'd use it.
Confidance Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 "how would a hex edit give them an edge?" A woe hex edit gives them a huge edge. They can see how much you are hitting, and maybe put on water armor, if that doesn't work, then evil druid, and you'd be hitting them for 0 without knowing it the whole time, when they know exactly what you're doing.

That's right, but the ones who try to break in to actually care in killing the others? They usually bring a GS,spam desesp then spam ygg till emp. They usualy dont bother with the others, and go straight for the emp.
Diablo336 Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Mkay, i voted yes. Im just going to present my own personal opinion, and If i miss something posted in the previous posts, my bad, i was too lazy to read em all. Buffbots arent harmfull to the gameplay and balance of the server. Ive seen them being used, and all that they do is sit in one place, wherever that may be, and buff whoever walks by in their party. All this really does is save time, of the person who is running them. It is not doing anything but that. It is almost the same as dual clienting and buffing your party yourself, without having to alt tab and do it yourself. i have NO IDEA why people think this is so harmful to their gameplay. This is getting very much out of hand. All the buff bots do is save time. I mean, auto acid demo wasnt banned, and in my opinion, that was much worse than stationary buff bots. And I dont know what the whole deal with the hexing of clients is, but that sounds like it gives a bigger advantage than even quick buffs. I think i read something about people being punished for using buff bots earlier, and that I heard that too. I ALSO heard that they were later unjailed because theyre buff bots seemed to fall within the rules of the server. I dont know who brought that up, but it seems as if someone is making the GM team look bad, knowing that they cant openly give a rubuttle without risking their credibility as a GM. >.> This has just gone too far, and if no one can tell me a VALID AND COMPLETE REASON of how buff bots are actually unfair, ill keep on telling you to fuck off, and use em secretly anyways. BTW, if you notice, I made this post as non-flaming as I could, not poking at any one person or point for too long, and for sure not insulting anyone. If you answer this post with flame, ill bring it back tenfold. P.S. I cant really play RO for a while, im pretty busy with my life, no videogames for a bit. Hopefully ill be back on soon.
Confidance Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 You're not getting the point. There are many 1v1 situations in WoE. That's when the woe damage gives you a huge advantage. You are only considering the raiding part, where people charge in and kill as many people as they can. Maybe an asura champ trying to get an EMP breaker off his emp will asura once, see the damage is really low, and use throw spirit spheres or palm push strike instead, because the person he is hitting uses devilings, etc. There are countless situations that woe dmg is used for, if it wasn't useful, why would influence use it in the first place? Battles in woe don't all happen in the emp room.
Zeitgeist Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 This has grown to a point where we cannot let it continue. I'm sorry, but Genesis already gave you people a chance to debate this maturely, but this has turned exactly as the another topic; a flame-fest. I think I've got enough arguments from both parties to decide what's to be done with this issue. Given that the poll was obviously confusing and some players expressed that indeed it was, it will be discarded as an argument. Hrist, Gilgamesh, Overlord and L2Aim, however, have given us enough material to discuss about the matter with facts. We will make an announcement on our decision on the matter. Please look forward to it.
