jameslamela Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Close your youtube, net browser, etc that uses your internet download speed. Especially pornsites, close those. Trust me it would work. Avoid using dual client as well. Use only one if pissible. Turn off your fog as well by typing /fog Quote

Rayray Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 WTFast affects your latency, not the lag. It affects how fast data packets are sent and received, hence it affects ping. If your ping to the server is around 180- 220ms, that is around ~.2 milliseconds. That means when you press a button(skill), it takes .2 milliseconds to process it. Meaning you normally will fire your skill .2 milliseconds after you press it.(NORMALLY, there are other factors outside of just ping). WTFast reduces that ping a bit, so you can get better response time for your other commands including skills. Now with lag, if anything else is using your connection at the moment you are playing, no matter how low your ping is, you will lag. If someone is using youtube while you play, you will lag as streaming sites takes a lot of bandwidth. Now, let us add the torrents and downloads as well. Let us remember RO is an old game, it is not as optimized as other games regarding connection. So it is best to play it with the least possible competition in the network bandwidth to get the best results. Quote
elykarmic Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 ^ there. well explained. thanks sir rayray <3 Quote
dlsmizel Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) you can also check if one of your programs such as Steam, Garena, Dropbox, anti-virus, etc is updating / downloading / uploading. if yes, stop it. Edited October 23, 2014 by dlsmizel Quote
