Hypnosis Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 If you give them more hit SB Sinx can just go full STR, 100 DEX, 14x VIT and rest LUK for maximum ATK. Because the need for more DEX isn't there I could just add more points to the stats that increase my dmg. Exactly. You no longer require the Dex to gain the 100 hit in the first place, meaning you have more points to spend in str, vit or whatever else, making the class even stronger then before.
ChainBreak Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 Just a simple calculation to show how much a little atk can affect SB dmg: atk = 10 unreduced SB dmg: 10 * 8.8 * 4 * 5 * 8 = 14 080 Even with 60% redux it's still a ~5k dmg boost per SB. If you factor in the number of casts per spam it's at about 25k additional dmg.

Wow, if that's the case, then a big -1, 5k additional on a SB is outrageous, due to the flat fact that I've seen people doing 30's, Normally.
Rayray Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 ^ 30k sb means full buffs + ship captain hat. That's just an idiot on gospel buffs :p
Hypnosis Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 ^ 30k sb means full buffs + ship captain hat. That's just an idiot on gospel buffs :p Oh crap, right. Well, I would factor that in as well honestly, Mostly because everyone who plays SB Assassin buffs right before they go in so, yeah .____.;; The only place where they aren't buffing is PvP, and even then I'm never to sure because the NPC acts up alot of times.
Rayray Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 a normal SB sinx without buffs should only hit around 12k+ on ship captain and non thana weapon. Even then, that is a lot and has the power to still quickly kill people if they aren't careful. Although a normal sb sinx without buffs would also die within a few bolts or something. It all balances out, and buffing Sinx kinda tips the scales a little bit.

Well 12k's aren't bad, That's like 100k+ if I'm not mistaken, and on top of that SinX's have a crazy spam, I think it's like 4+ for SB sinxs so 12x10x4 is pretty bad. Imagine that even higher, I don't really think buffing this ring is the right way to approach helping out the class, if that is what the poster actually intends to do.
ChainBreak Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 SB hits 8 times per cast so 12k hits mean 12k * 8 * 4 = 384 k dmg
Hypnosis Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 384 is still a very large amount to take. Honestly buffing the ring is going to do nothing but help older(more geared) players instead of what it was 'supposed' to do which was to help out the entire class.
plok123 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Like Ray said, if you're gonna add +100 hit, do it on a weapon..
elykarmic Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I want to agree to the +7% attack. since LK bless has +15 % attack on their rings. >.<
Hypnosis Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I want to agree to the +7% attack. since LK bless has +15 % attack on their rings. >.< LK needs the damage modifier due to the fact that they can't shit out dmg like sinx, Assassin Cross has EDP which makes attack damage hit at a substantially higher amount, I don't see any valid reason to give Assassin cross 7% more attack when they do enough damage with players who know how to use them properly.
