etffbtw Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) Crit Explosion/Asura and MS shake screen with effects off and now that WoE is picking up again, 120+ people on screen with champs Fury + meteor storm spam, even with effects off it's causing lag for some players. Doesn't effect me much, but I know several of my guild members who had problems with it during WoE Specialy Asian woe. You can remove it by screwing with the *.str files but many players don't take the time to edit their effects/client very much- especially people new to RO/WoE. The screen shake is purely cosmetic, not like it effects the skill by removing it. I guess it adds to the uh, RO-ness of gameplay to have those kind of effects, so if people want to keep the shake on this server for PvM/PvP is there a way to only remove it from WoE? Like the WoE skills reduced effects (magnificat, angelus, etc...)? Other servers with more than 60 player WoEs tend to remove this and it helps with the lag. Not a major issue, but I guess it does make for smoother gameplay Edited May 23, 2013 by etffbtw
Biomehanika Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) There is a way to remove screen shakes from skills such as Fury, Heaven's Drive, Berzerk etc etc. Do a really deep search via google, though I am not sure if it is legit or not in this server. Edited May 24, 2013 by Biomehanika
ChainBreak Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 There is a way to remove screen shakes from skills such as Fury, Heaven's Drive, Berzerk etc etc. Do a really deep search via google, though I am not sure if it is legit or not in this server. It requires messing with the client which is not a very good thing tbh.
zergling Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 Any edits to the client scripts is reason for ban here. The admin won't even allow RCX to be used which simply allows the viewing of AoE skills with effects off.
plok123 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 I don't have problems with it too, but it does cause huge lags for other players. I have no idea how, but +1.
Biomehanika Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 You might wanna ask the admins and see if hexing the client is allowed.
zergling Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 I already asked about RCX and Genesis said nothing of the sort is allowed.
Genesis Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I'm going to be discussing this with Veracity to make sure we are both in agreement but I think its a good change. I know from personal experience the shaking can be annoying. 1
