Kireien Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) I'll keep this short and sweet now since I don't beat around bushes. Just a refresher of one of the rules: But what is this: My suggestions are these: Enforce that rule harder. Be more strict and crack down on people instead of letting them be. (Not going to sugar-coat it, Main Town center is a mess of glorious proportions. I only go here for healer, which aren't implemented in other cities. If they were, I would hardly be going here) Take out that rule. Clearly, it isn't working out. Many people don't follow it and I see no one enforce it. If it was being enforced, there'd be less of a mess in there, but there isn't. Tweak that rule to just say No Warping On Top Of NPCs because obviously, many people do everything else the rule says NOT to, BUT that. That's all. Thanks for taking the time to read. ChainBreak Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 +1 Way too annoying to try and find an angle to click a npc just to find that it's not clickable.
Capuccino Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 Kindly report to us (@request) or make a ticket, also please provide a screenshot. Sorry for inconveniences. As part of the community, we,players can also warn them or tell them that they wouldn't be afk on that spot. I'll be monitoring when I'll be online. Thank you.
thePast Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 ^Tbh honest, this was done almost everyday w/ more than 10 peoples, it'll be too much to report all of em. by doing this things will be much nicer c: +1.
Victoria Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 still, even if the rules were to get stronger they can still sit next to NPCs about three cells away and tells excuses that they didnt even know that, that rule existed. the only solution to solving this problem is to report them or just manually telling them to move :3
El7 Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 +1 The most annoying when they put Mina in the healer or broadcaster, hard to click on them.
Kireien Posted May 10, 2013 Author Report Posted May 10, 2013 On my days as a GM, we enforced this rule strictly by nuking, jailing for a fair number of hours, and announcing periodically to NOT loiter around in the way of NPCs because there were repeat offenders. That would be an extension of my "enforcing" suggestion. Simply put, repeatedly drill it into the players so they get the point, because I bet you those people who do sit and loiter around there haven't read the rules or just flagrantly disregard even if they do know. In which case, (a bit off topic) I also suggest translating the rules in different languages--I can speak and understand a fair amount of languages, but I can't promise correct spelling (but I can get points across), so if it's ok-ed, I can also translate the rules in a couple different languages so people who don't understand English can comprehend as well.
Veracity Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 To be honest it's much more efficient to simply make it so people can't put chats up on the cells. We currently have this, but I believe Genesis only set it to 1-2 cells instead of 3. I can see how it would be annoying, so I'd be in favor of further increasing it. Translating the rules could be a good idea, though English is still the main language of the server, it may be beneficial. You'd probably want to bring that up with Genesis directly as that is his decision. 1
Kireien Posted May 11, 2013 Author Report Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) ADM Ver, the angelic chorus is singing your name right now. YES that would help greatly--increase the number of cells people can't put up chats I mean. Personally, I think 3 is still too minute. I don't have a specific suggestion on just how many cells, but the larger the better, because honestly now, just take a look at center--I believe I don't need to explain any further. But I'm digressing a little--yes, an increase in cells where people can't put up chat would be highly appreciated. The greater number of cells, the less obnoxious obstructions floating around. OnosakiHito Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 Thank you Kireien, I mentioned this before as well, but kinda nothing happened. Rolling this up is good. Genesis should just increase the number of cells, so this wouldn't be a problem anymore. As all of us who had something with RO's source to do know, it is easy to increase the number of cells just by pushing some buttons. Adding this imidiately to the next update would help @ Veracity. So instead us, it would be nice if you could mention this to Genesis since it isn't a big work at all... ._."
Precious Bio Posted May 11, 2013 Report Posted May 11, 2013 Well... Is not much to say for me since all is already said in here. I agree. Sometimes is too annoying they just block the NPC with their pubs too. I hope this topic can be taken seriously. +1 for this topic.
Kireien Posted May 11, 2013 Author Report Posted May 11, 2013 Yes, basically this suggestion, summed up in simple terms, is that make people GTFO of the way and take their chat boxes somewhere else. They're lucky the GMs and ADMs aren't nuke happy or there would be dead bodies all over town.
Precious Bio Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Hahahaha.... Talking about dead body makes me remember a show. The Walking Dead xD
Veracity Posted May 12, 2013 Report Posted May 12, 2013 Moving this to reviewed since we already implemented this in the update. :)
