Legendary Katar Isn't So Legendary

What is so Legendary about the Legendary Katar? +7 stats 5% HP/SP and Demi Human reduction?

Legendary Critical Sword (which is wield-able by assassin crosses) vastly outclass the Katars in terms of stats

and over all damage. I would believe that an assassin cross should have a bit more damage output with

their specialty weapon as apposed to duel wielding twin blades. Here is something I came up with:

Current Stats:

Legendary Sin X Katar [4]

Vit/Dex/Str + 7

Reduce Damage Taken by 5%

Max HP/Sp +5%

Attack + 120

My Proposal:

Legendary Sin X Katar [4]

Vit/Dex/Str + 20

Reduce Damage by 5%

Max HP/SP+ 5%

Crit rate + 25

Deal 10% more damage with critical attacks

Increase Grim Tooth Damage by 30%

Attack + 120

Feed back?

crit rate yea, more damage with crit attacks yea, 30% to sonic blow no. with link, (which everyone gets now a days) it does 12k per hit, with legendary katar it's probably at what 10k?

There was no need to increase the damage of Sonic Blow. There was a time in 2008 I believe that the Soul Link for SinX gives the full effect(which is 50% increase in sonic blow) and that blew everyone out of the water, I remember not even needing Kiels since everyone dies within one hit of SB(around 30k+ each hit). with your suggestion, adding the link it would give 40% increase to SB. So I disagree on it.

If we buff up the legendary katar, the valk equivalent should follow.

Crit is pretty much useless on the katar, no need to put that in the weapon that you will be using for a Skill Based SinX.

The reason the Legendary Katar and the Kitty Claws seem not good enough is because SB is a very strong skill to begin with. At the moment, A sinx using Ship Captain, have a link, and using Kitty Claws can deal around 18k SB per hit, and that is huge, so with legendary that should average around 16k. 3 kiels makes you able to spam 3x at least, everyone with less than 250k will drop down.

I would prefer it to have an increase in damage with Grimtooth, not SB honestly.

Minus the Sonic Blow increase, but yes you do realize the Legendary Katar has no love what so ever.

All the hard work for a miserable +7 stats? While the blades get like +15 to + 20? That is downright bias

This might be impossible to do as Legendary weapon is 80% of Valkyrie Weapon, unless you suggested to buff the Kitty Claw.

Kitty Claws effect : Cast delay rate -10%, -10% damage taken from all enemies, +10% Max SP, +15 vit/dex.

^Yes, the L.katar needs buff tho, it doesnt really give 80%.

Well, as Shino said ,

Simple, with the current gear and custom effect we have here in fRo, you can get pretty much more than 20k+ sonic blow each hit, since 1 SB is 8 hit, and you can spam around 3~4, you'll deal more than 200k damage or more in one spam, it's pretty much over-powered already.. if you have the proper gear. yea... most i can suggest for this is increase grimtooth damage by 15-20% and maybe some more aftercast delay reduction.

A fully geared SB Sinx can kill just about anyone in one spam of SB... Some don't even need kitty, so I'm kind of against making it stronger. [edit; with link]

Im more for the grimtooth and aftercast reuct and +10 to the stats instead of 7, it slipped my mind about the soul link.

As a Katar User myself, this one I could agree on. but this means buffing up Kitty claws as well.

well for kitty claws you could just add the grim buff Other than that I see no point in going further.

if we buff up the legendary katar, it should be 80% of what kitty claws is. they cannot be giving stats exactly the same.

Just add -8% cast delay in the legendary katar because that's the only effect that is missing in the weapon. Honestly sonic blow is already OP no need to buff the legendary katar.

If this is still wanted, pre resuggest it. I didn't see a lot of support for this.
