Mall Space

I have to suggest to renovate the mall into a more wide, more room and space.. because there are now many vendors there and sometimes i cant find the vendor that im looking for because of the many vendors compressing.. so i suggest to reinvent the mall and make more space for us to feel free to shop for items we need. npc or a vendor.. either one.. hope i hear from my suggestion..

P.S Is it just me or im being OCD? O.o Sry for my grammar :3

for me i think, the mall and the vendors should not be at the same place... and seriously, the mall is too small for vendors... they should find a place where the vendors could set up in a very neat way without overlapping each other's pubs

a good example would be, along the streets of prontera, they could only vend on the sidewalk with 1 cell appart going down from the center to the bottom... now wouldn't that be nice to see?

We really were intending for the mall to just be a mall. We've never had a designated space for vendors, but in the past many of them used to be at Prontera. People moved to the mall because they realized it was a high traffic area, and I do like the idea of having everything newbies need to buy in one area, whether it's from NPC shops or vendors. I agree however it's become quite crowded for such a small space. I suppose we can choose a new location for the mall, but I would have to check this out with Genesis. It would be helpful if you guys could suggest what maps could work well for this purpose. :)

Prontera would be great :)) i once went there and there are few vendors there that sometimes arent given much attention because only few people goes to prontera.. and there is a huge space for vendors there and i would be happy to look at all their vends with much more space :))

Some place where people mostly visited might be nice.

Like in front of the mall but only 3~5 cells beside the mall, so it won't really make the place full. ( if it's possible ).

Maybe the Yuno or Alberta.

Yuno got a rather big round space around the middle and Alberta got space near the docks.

Afaik the player-market on the official server is also near the docks in Alberta.

There are many big maps that can contain the mall. I wouldnt prefer prontera its still a little small. And morroc seems fine. Also maybe have a npc that warps directly to the mall if the mall is not in a certain map number.

I would suggest to move the mall to prt_vilg00.. i warped there and its a small place yet big enough to be a vendor's area.. but i dont know if its possible and the other GM's would like it because.. base on my research, some GM's AFK there O.o

We should have a mall without people being able to vend in the mall. This way venders can choose a designated area to vend their items.

Prontera is not little and morroc is too big for venders :3 .. many RO's use prontera as their vending area because it has a large space with a center and it has a very unique hallway

Okay to be clear, it has to be an INTERIOR map. It can't be a town. What I would do is change the warp of the "mall" to take you to a bigger interior room that has NPCs and more room for people to vend in so it's not as crowded. Wouldn't exactly make sense if the inside of a building was an outdoor town :P

I know a very good place in ayothaya.. it has 4 stairs on each corner which NPC's can be put and the Vendors are on the center of the room :3 if you have the time i can show you the room :D

I plus one this so much that I think I need new fingers.

I do think there should be an area exclusively for vending, and considering the large amount of characters, indoor might be a little difficult, but not impossible. I do have little experience in creating maps since I did make a few for the old server I used to GM in so if it would help, I could try my hand at it again and create a custom map if it gets ok-ed. If not, then I do vote for Morrocc since outdoors might prove to be easier for this large amount of vendors. I will try and look around for a bigger indoor place if it really MUST be indoors, however.

This plus the heavier enforcement of the rule Keeping Distance from NPCs would do a lot to organize main town quite a lot. Chat boxes and vendors galore, holy shmowzow.

I agree. But having just a redo of the actual map would be fine as well in my opinion.
