but i think that the questable items should be stronger then donor gears , i understand that the person paid money to get those items i also understadn that donations keep the server alive. but that also makes them super lazy, people that worked hard and grinded should be stronger then the bums that just want to pay and be instantly strong, like i said call me crazy but this is my opinion

Perhaps I could agree with that, however one of the greatest features of this server is that you don't need to donate to get the donation items. That is something that I really admire, and found difficult to see in other servers that I've played.

I totally understand what you mean, it is difficult to spend days after days questing for an item and not be able to compare it to the donation items, however see it from this point of view, as you said the people that donate get it easy but, when a person pays for something in this case they actually expect to get the best out of it. When you sell a person an item and the next thing they know is that in order for them to be able to have a full experience they have to put more work on it. In my opinion it is a way to say "Yeah, your money is not worth for us, thanks for donating".

In addition there are items that are better than the donation items. Some examples are the Friggs shield is a better item than the donation forsaken shield, also the Cursed and Blessed rings are intended to be better than the Capes. Plus, I can assure you that in the upcoming updates there will be a lot of great quests, and new great items that may be stronger than the donation items.

That is just my opinion. :]

In an ideal world this would be true, however it's unrealistic. RO servers need to be funded in order to exist. If a server doesn't bring in donations, it dies very fast. It's naive to think otherwise. On our server, the knight/legendary gears are on par with the donation items, AND you can obtain donation sets through voting, which is something I haven't seen on many (or any) other servers. On top of that, donations aren't account bound here so with hard work, any one could obtain them. That's already very great for players and better than a vast majority of servers out there. And there are items that are obtainable through WoE and storyline quests which are better than donation items. So I would be thankful for how much we already offer. :)

I have been here for so long since 2007. I haven't donated yet. and i have all i need to be somewhat decent but as I said many times before, once I could donate, I will.

you guys already have the knight/legendary quest that we didn't have when we started. We cant even get king set through voting before. we can only vote twice in a day before. We didn't have floating rates. we dont have activity tokens before. we didn't have seed room before. Thanatos card drops at .01% way back in 2007. Acid bomb bottles cost 20k each before. the best questable aura we get is the dragon aura that gives +5 stats, nothing compared to legendary zodiacs now. Hell, Elite quest(what we have before knight quest) is so annoying it makes knight and legendary quest look like a cakewalk. You can finish almost all legendary stuff now within 2-3 days. you can't do that on the elite quest before( 3k hydra cards, 2k card of something, and other stuff too, only to get 200 stat points, then the elite gear has a separate items needed that needs 3k cards and mvp cards). YOU HAVE WIKI GUIDES ON ALMOST ALL THE QUEST YOU NEED, we have to find npcs for that before.

In short, newbies now have an easier time than we did before. everyone can quest, not everyone can donate. It seems unfair that you call the ones that donated are lazy. They spent their hard-earned cash gained through working to get items in game because most of them don't have time to quest stuff since they have jobs. Technically, they are farming in real life. Anyone can sit around in front of a computer and farm stuff, if you don't have a job that is so easy to do. But most of us do have jobs, have bills to pay and cannot sit around and quest on a game just to be decent, hence people donate to get stuff they can't get since they cannot farm, they do get a little extra for it since they help the server.

and as Decode and Veracity said, no donation item is exclusive whatsoever. you can buy them off players. it does take time for you to gain tokens to get them ,but so what? you didn't pay anything to play anyway. Technically, you playing doesn't help in the server costs. This server allows that kind of stuff. I know tons of people who never donated and got almost all the stuff you can get through donating. it isn't hard, just takes time.

Just to give you an idea, you spent a maximum of a week to get stuff(knight set, legendary weapon, legendary gaunts and probably sgw and some mvp cards). you can start pvping at that point. When I started, it took me a half a year of farming berries( i can only play a maximum of 4 hours a day due to school and work) to get my first king set. in fact, as I remember correctly, it took me a whole year to fully gear my SinX that time. it won't take you that long to do that now.

I am quite thankful for what we got, this server is waaayyyy more balanced then any other server i have ever played on in the 8 years I ve played this game. im just stating an opinion that i think is pretty agreeable, and i fully understand without donors servers die. i suppose my frustration is more towards the cockiness i see in donors LOL

Let me tell you, I fought alot of newbies that just donated their way in here, getting all the stuff they can get through donation and whatnot, but cannot pvp well, in fact most really, really suck.

My 2 cents: Donating helps the server, but donating isn't everything.

Questing is fun, believe me, I've done it tons of times. What my fellow GM's have said is true, you can obtain donation items through questing and hard work. Donating just gets them to the players faster.

In the end, it's all in the skills. You could be a top donator but couldn't kill a kitten, or you could be a badass questing guy and be able to battle your way through everything thrown at you. The end choice is still yours.
