Winson Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Well I'm new around here and really wanted to play Forsaken RO. I'm not a new Ragnarok Online Player, I've been playing it since before the Official Servers became Pay-To-Play and I later moved to Private Servers after they did become Pay-To-Play. But that was years ago and I lost all my knowledge on how to connect to Private Servers. That being said, why isn't there a guide in this website telling players how to set up the files to connect to Forsaken RO? Even the Beginner Guide only teaches about things after the player has already connected. Can someone help me with this please? O: Quote
SinRisk Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 If you're talking about the download and the files needed to play you go to this link: http://www.forsaken-ro.net/forum/index.php?app=ccs&module=pages§ion=pages&id=1&record=29 Then you choose the full downloader, run it and let everything install which should download everything needed to play. The main website for ForsakenRO is here: http://forsaken-ro.net/ Hope this helped you. Quote

SinRisk Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 I'm not sure how the torrent version works but if it does like i think it does then you drag the file downloaded to your desktop and run it, after that the files should automatically install and the patcher should show up to allow you to join the server. The Torrent Version is the Game Folder of the game. Quote
SinRisk Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Ok, in the game folder there should be a file called ForsakenRO Patcher this is the file you need to run the server so make a shorcut of it and put it in your desktop or anywhere where you can easily get to. You run the patcher and it's going to install or "patch" all these things then you press start and login to your account. That should solve your problem. Quote

Then I click Start, it opens a tiny window and it disappears. It keeps doing this. Quote
SinRisk Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 try to run it as administrator, right click it and there should be an option saying run as administrator. Quote

Veracity Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Welcome to the server! In answer to your question, if you go to the set up and change the resolution it should fix the issue you're experiencing! Please let us know if this worked for you or not. Quote
viney1 Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) What if we can't get to the setup? The client is literally a tiny window, and I can't find any files that I can change resolution-wise right now. I reported a ticket, and still no help.. Really nice seeing no one can help. EDIT: I changed the resolution in setup.exe and still NO change.. My window is still tiny as hell and I can't do anything to make it bigger! EDIT2: I forced it into full screen and managed to get in fine. I still can't fix window mode though. Edited January 7, 2013 by viney1 Quote
SinRisk Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 In the ForsakenRO folder there should be a file called Setup, that should allow you to change the resolution of the client, and be patient if your ticket isn't solved i'm sure its being worked out. Quote
sephwin Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 try setting its compatibility to sp3? (see image below) and run it as administrator Quote
Veracity Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 What sephwin suggested should help, or it could be the issue which Bishop recently posted in the ticket you had made: At the setup.exe. What does it say at the top bar? If it says something like Direct3D, click it and change it to your graphic card instead. The name of your graphic card should be in the list. Just posting this here for anyone else who may also be experiencing the issue too. :) Quote
