Mint Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Yeah, this is my suggestion to give Star Gladiator's a balanced weapon, and creating a solution to the fact that they're limited to 3 classes to kill because of the skill "Opposition" Firstly, you would need to remove the following skills: Opposition Solar Wrath Lunar Wrath Stellar Wrath Solar Blessings Lunar Blessings Stellar Blessings [Vor's Astral Compendium] [4] + 150% Attack + 20% HP + 10 Str + 15 Agi + 15 Dex + 10% Damage to Flying Kick The + 150% Attack Accounts for the Loss of the Opposition Skill, and with the right damage modifier cards on the weapon will account for the negative impact on attack of using a book while sprinting. With this book there will also be no need to implement an @oppositionreset command, simply because there will be no opposition skill and the class will gain this damage to all classes, so it wont be subjected to a choice of 3 Calculations: Opposition gives +((Baselvl + Luck + Dex)/3)% Attack ((255+1+150)/3)%) = 135.33% Attack Sprint Damage Bonus gives + (10*SkillLv)% Damage = (10*10)% = 100% (Requires Unarmed) As using a book you will be armed, therefore the sprint bonus is void Cards: 3xTG + Skeleworker = (20+20+20+15) = 75% 100-75 = 25% (Lost due to book usage) 135 + 25 = +160% Attack Bonus Needed But 160% will make the melee attacks (Roundhouse, Tornado Kick) too strong, so 150 should be fine. & that's where the 10% flying kick damage is added. And The 20% HP added accounts for the Instant Death due to the Union skill, which is necessary. P.s. This also requires the weapon to be a Book so that the damage calculations are correct

I also agree with the 20 pct HP increase. Im kinda questioning the removal of the opposition skill. If we get extra damage against all classes, they may become overpowered. I like the reset for the opposition, but I think we should keep the opposition skill, except maybe limit it to only be used against monsters? Cause I was thinking on a breaker build for my Star Glad, and that would require opposition of the stars. Unless, what about this! We merge all the solar, lunar, and stellar skills into 1 based on the category. Like, Cosmic Wrath, Cosmic Blessing, Cosmic Heat, and Cosmic Protection. And we make those all buffs that last like 60 seconds and it applies to everything? Well, except the blessing which would just be for training lol. Good suggestions.

If you make opposition only monster-based, pvp star gladiator goes down the drain. The bonus attack on the weapon is calculated to replace opposition so you could still create a breaker build.

Im not sure, but yes, I did read the calculation and that would be amazing. is what stacked? the current stats of the suggestion depend solely on opposition and the other skills i listed being removed, so you wouldn't be overpowered, you'd get a slight decrease in damage for flying side kick (0.33%) and a boost of normal attack damage & Hp

I believe that is the Wrath skills. Like if we kept the Wrath skill (along with the other buffs) and it stacked with the book, thatd be quite overpowered, because thats essentially another 135.55%. But if we made that a win or lose buff, like it lasts 10 seconds and we get immensely reduced defense or something, then it might be ok. I hope youre understanding what Im trying to say :x. I dunno how well Im interpreting my thoughts.

But that could make this the only class able to counter strip... :x. Well, Im not sure, Im running out of ideas xD. I guess lets just leave it the way you had before. I definately agree with this and I think it should go into the game ASAP!
zergling Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 from your calculations by removing the hatred and implimenting that book it would essentially be hatred against all classes and therefore causing my 300k+ damage to all classes. sorry but that won't work it's going to cause too much of an upstart and it will cause some serious problems.

People have been requesting a hatred reset for ages, which would be basically the same, & you can't hit 300k+ damage on someone with a shield and the redux that basically everyone uses. Except maybe a dual dagger assassin, which is the hatred target for 90% of all star gladiators anyway.

Then again, I was alone and I didnt have STR belts. Im using Dex belts, which arent horrible, but still. I think If I had been using str belts it would be a different story, but I usually hit like 60k-ish (on a hated char yes). So I dont see a problem at all with the damage on the book. It would be a lot better than the opposition as it is now.

It's not a damage increase, if you read the calculations the damage should essentially stay exactly the same if not a little less than before on flying kick. (0.33%), it's just a HP increase and a few stats which they need.
