zaid Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 GM, i would suggested a new event for FRO player due to the skillful of weap and almost every player becomes powerful time to time and i think, there should be an event that same as PVP. BUT!, for this, the rule is, in the pvp room, there only 2 people. Fight each other. this is 1 vs 1. There also should be Team vs Team. Such as 5 vs 5. This will ensure many people to participate, and there would be a price winner. To enter this event, im just suggested, for player who want to join, must paid 5 tokens. or Less. just suggested. anyway, u can put it by urself, as ur GameMaster. I dont think so, to wait for the GM coming in, online and do an event will attracted people to come in and play. This is because, I see, nowdays, GM dont have much time to do such of that event. There should be an NPC that conduct the *event* by itself, and the players can just click on it, and play their player everytime they wanted to.
hazel Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 1st of all, ur topic should be under "Suggestions" section. 2ndly, its pointless to have 5vs5 pvp inside a pvp room if we already have a PvP NPC. Plus, not that much people or not at all will want to pay 5 tokens just to enter a pvp room. On top of that, its already hard to convince other people to come inside the pvp room even tho there is no fee to get in.
Aerynth Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 i agree with hazel, but i don mind pvp-ing maybe bi-monthly, 1v1 and move on to the next round kind of thing. till the final. and winner has a prize, haha but that time of gameplay event is short. so there really is not much point. this sort of event can be organize as a guild event anyway.

As you said, maybe it is hard to convince the players to fight, but, it is just because the *RULE* is hard. Then, just make it easy. Try make it easier for players to get it and enjoyed it.

Okay, I'm going to attempt to translate this so others can understand (take it with a grain of salt as my interpretation may not encompass what zaid is suggesting). "FRO administration, I want to suggest a new event centered around PvP so players can demonstrate their skill in PvP. However, this PvP event will be a tournament type of event, such that there are beginning rounds, semi-finals, and finals rounds. This PvP event can be from 1v1 up to just before becoming TLMS. Many people will participate because there will be a prize. I also suggest there be a fee to participate, 5 tokens or discuss it below. Also, if possible, lets automate this event via NPC." Okay, the event sounds fun, but lets discuss the architecture of this event. On the aspect of automating this event, coding this would take a long time since there are so many variable factors that have to be taken into account. At this moment, I don't think it's possible. I think something of this magnitude can be an event maybe once a month, during the last week. Additionally, I actually agree with the token fee to participate. In most cases of a tournament where a prize is involved, a fee is paid. But for a more formal reason, I think a fee for this type of event can act as a token sink for the server. This event sounds great, BUT, practically speaking, I don't think it's possible due to the amount of organization necessary to make it successful. The event is possible; I know because I've played this event many times in guilds such as Influence and Dignified (don't know of Aggressive or Ghost do this).
