Mr Wiki Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 So I'm a bit...behind times in terms of RO and the new items and some of the new classes. And not to mention, this will be my...Hmm...Third Super High/High rate server. I'm mostly used to 1000/1000/100 with 99/70 being the max level only with no custom. So my main question I have for this economy is...What's the main driving force behind it? Is it based on the tokens? Or custom items only? Or Elite items/gears only? Is the current economy inflated or pretty much balanced that any new incoming players can dive into the market and be able to purchase and sale items? Also about the cards. Are mini-MvP/MvP cards the only thing of value? [Or are card drops 100x? If so, I certainly don't mind diving into the card market :D ] Also are Elus/Oris have any great value in this market? Any other tips/pointers would greatly be appreciated :D PS: Is there's anything else you veterans wanna share/discuss about economy, please go right ahead ;3 PSPS: I do hope I posted this in the right section :p

If you have any questions feel free to PM/add my contacts. I tend and respond quickly. :) Now, on to your questions. 1. Tokens are the driving force of the economy. We aren't zeny based (although zeny has started to play a more important role). 2. Yes, it's based on tokens. These can be obtained through events, trading or donating. 3. The economy is also based on custom items as well as tokens. Specifically, hard to do quest items, elite, MvP cards and woe drops. 4. The current economy is a tad bit inflated. We have just implemented a number of new concepts that plan to ease this inflation pretty nicely and gradually. There is much more of that to come and it will help new players. I'd say right now its in between your two points. Most people here got their items without donating. This was done with hard work, trading, befriending people, events or just being in one of the major guilds (which pay salaries). 5. Yes, they are indeed of value. Because MvPs spawn at regular official times, they are sold ingame for tokens and other items. MvP/Mini drop at 10%. Thanatos drops at 0.01%. Elus/Oris aren't particularly valuable because they drop often and are sold by the refiner.
Veracity Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 So I'm a bit...behind times in terms of RO and the new items and some of the new classes. Is the current economy inflated or pretty much balanced that any new incoming players can dive into the market and be able to purchase and sale items? First of all, welcome to the server. (: I hope you'll enjoy playing here. Now in answer to your question, the economy is based on tokens. You can obtain tokens by participating in events/mini games and converting the event tokens to regular tokens, donating, trading/buying them from other players, or purchasing them for zeny. Unfortunately, the best items (Emperium auroras, Frigg's shield, Valkyrie weapons, rucksacks) are all rather costly. (I have a guide to average pricing that Seraphine made that I'll be adding to the wiki later today, most likely.) However, for a new player starting out, I'd recommend doing quests instead: Elite equipment, the Sun/moon aura, and quest rucksacks. All of these items are very good and about 10-5 stats less than their more expensive counterparts. This will be a good way to start off and save up tokens so that you can buy the better gear later on. Also about the cards. Are mini-MvP/MvP cards the only thing of value? [Or are card drops 100x? If so, I certainly don't mind diving into the card market :D ] MvP Cards sell for a decent amount of tokens here, ranging from 5-50 (on average). MvP card drops are 10%, with the exception of Thanatos, which is .01%. Consumable items like Yggdrasil Berry tickets etc. are also in demand here, though they do not sell for much. Also are Elus/Oris have any great value in this market? Not to my knowledge, no, since they're not hard to obtain. I hope this helped you. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me or add me to MSN at [email protected].
Mr Wiki Posted July 11, 2011 Author Report Posted July 11, 2011 Ah I see. What about potions and foods? I remembered in the older days [Then again, mid rate servers] that foods was at quite a high value especially due to stat boost it gives. Also, as for the MVP spawning. Is there a constant camping at those locations? If so, it would be a tad difficult to get some sort of economic trading power. [Personally I'll go to Hidden Dungeon to mini MvP hunting]. I know I had some difficulty due to finding 30+ players just camping MvPs I do hope there is no custom cards T.T And as for the seeds/berries. What would be the current value on them as of right now? And what does the token cost when it comes to exchanging with zenies? I have couple other questions...But they escaped me so far =[
Sorrow Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 Heya there :3 The foods aren't really that valuable, i never see any one interested in them, occasionaly though, we get events with special monsters that drop special candies that are just like them, but some can boost so much as +20 on all stats, these usually interest people, but said candies are available only from time to time. Some MvPs are heavily camped and kept(as the campers know when they'll be back), i advise you to try and use the Sage skill Hocus Pokus to make your own MvPs, Screen Shot your summons so you can report any KSers(summoned MvPs are yours, naturally spawned ones are free for all). There are custom cards, but there's only few that are still useful compared to the other natural MvP cards, like Skolls, which reduce your defense so that you can get protection against cheap Thanatos Card users. But don't worry, skolls are very easy to come by. Some other custom cards can be very useful, but don't worry, none of them are overpowered if compared to an MvP card. Seeds and Berries are our main 'pots' as normal potions have no use whatsoever unless on the annihilation event. You can buy and sell them at a rate of 300(3 yggdrasil berry tickets) for one token, and 500(5 yggdrasil seed tickets) for one token. You can hunt for them on places like for_fild02 and the for_dun, or in the special Seed hunting room, which you can rent the passes to access the area on the city's NPC 'Renter'. The exchange for zenny goes at a rate of 20 to 30 million zenny per Donation Token. Zenny still is useful for a bunch of things like broadcasting and buying catalysts.
sidsiders Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 hi mr.wiki, u also can hunt box of storm (BOS) and sell it for token (3tix : 1 token) or cursed water (1tix : 1 token) or just autoloot all the card that useful like hydra where ppl need for elite quest (3k card : 10token), glistening coat are very good as well (1 fcp tix (glistening coat) : 3 - 4 token) when u get enough money u can buy fdun pass for yggdrasil berry farming (very2 easy to farm at the fdun) ppl normally sell the pass for 40 token or u just simply do the quest which required a lot of patience -_-"..i believe u will get know this server better in just no time like i did... p/s : i suggest u to make the glistening coat coz of the price, and if u got any question just msg me, my IGN is dark star and killingsworth and am a full time farmer :p
