Kayla Minerre Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) So I love playing sinx whether it be sb or DD or Sword and shield, but I've discovered quite a few things that bug me about the new Sinx Dex Orient. First off is the obnoxious crit rate for it. Crim and I were chatting in for_fild about how it crits a LOT which completely ruins dex based builds that include thana or IP. I suggest adding something to it like: Nullify Critical rate or something. Second is the sprites (I have SS's for this). Let's say you are wearing the oriental sinx weapons with a shield on. It looks something like this: Now, when another weapon (such as an edge like I'm going to show in the next pic) is equipped, It looks something like this: Would it be possible to fix the weapon to show how it's supposed to? With both it and the other weapon equipped showing with the proper sprites? Feedback for the first part would be greatly appreciated and some help with the second would be nice! EDIT: Or maybe instead of nullifying critical rates make it have dagger properties so you double attack. (Similiar to how the WS Orient has Axe properties) Edited June 29, 2011 by Kayla Minerre
CrimToo Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 I completely agree. This valk weapon was not created for no reason. Those who purchase it should absolutely be able to put it to use. Isn't it possible to reclassify it as a dagger? that sounds easier than finding a way to nullify crit. Perhaps giving it a bonus of -60 to -100 luk would be enough to do that. I should be able to put a Thanatos on my dex dagger/sword and not have to worry about it being overrun by critical attacks just because of the natural stat bonuses of the forsaken king gears that eeeeverybody wears D=. There has got to be a way to make the weapon usable for its intended purpose or we basically have two different sinx crit swords, which is horrible!. Seems like a easy enough fix one way or the other, lets make it happen! =)

However the weapons were implemented to even out classes. Sinx already were one of the stronger classes so their weapons shouldn't be as good as some others (however the crit sword matches up to the best weapons). Making this sword into a dagger would be OP in my opinion, specially if used for breaking. Emps break too quickly already (in my opinion) changing this into another emp breaking weapon would get us one step back into the "Only rush to emp and break" kinda of woe in which nobody would try to guard anymore cause the emperium breaks so fast. In my opinion the DEX weapon should get what it's name indicates. Add dex to it and perhaps some hit rating as well. Keep it as a sword and decrease the luk of the wearer to prevent constant criticals. This way it could be used as a thana or incant weapon without the need of a lot of base dex or a phreeoni card. CrimToo Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I think that would be just fine. It doesnt matter so much that its a sword, but the high crit rate is indeed annoying, if it added dex or hit and had a reduction in luk to nullify more crit it would be a fine weapon indeed. Great suggestion!

I myself don't WoE anymore cause trans is gone but yeah I could definitely see the Rush and break thing being a problem again. Edit: Wow not a single comment since my last one. Wearing SINX DEX will have reduction to your CRIT without affecting LUK if possible, since LUK also gives boost to atk, hit rate, flee and perfect dodge unless you think reducing the wearers LUK will put balance to the boost it will give. My Suggestion: Effect: Str + 10, Agi + 10, Int+30, Hit + 100, SP + 20%, +10% damage to demi-human, + 5 ASPD, Critical - 100 What do you guys think?
