Ryuk Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 lets see here. cripple support classes? LOL, sounds like some people just want to keep their gangs strong. i can cast lext on someone without being in a party. devo is for people who cant win on their own. that wouldnt make pallies useless cause they can win ladder on their own. also, please dont say the reason you want to keep parties is so that newcomers can go into pvp so they have a chance. they will never have a chance to win ladder unless they get better gears. i can bet the main reason you guys want to keep parties is so that you dont make a mistake and hit the people helping you. either that or devotion. Alright well first off. I have no benefits from gangs in the PvP room. I don't ladder so no, I dont need to "keep my gangs strong". If you're going to argue against someone's opinion at least come with some facts instead of weird and false accusations to try and start a flame war. Besides that.... I wish you very much luck winning ladder on a paladin. As for the newcomer part, I've already explained that very clearly in one of my previous posts. Bottom line : I don't have ANY personal reasons for keeping or removing parties from pvp. My opinion is purely based on experience from this game and the will of keeping things balanced as much as possible. I'm not going into further discussions on this subject matter. It's up to the GMs to decide now.
Halion Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 what about a new room called "Party Allowed PVP Room" and "Non Partied ppl who likes sparta PVP Room"

Ryuk Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) i dont remember pressing the quote button on you. how you know i was talking directly to you. lets see here. cripple support classes? LOL, sounds like some people just want to keep their gangs strong. I was the only one in this topic against removing parties in the pvp room using the words "cripple support classes". The rest of your post also responds to a few of my arguements. Hence. Edited May 25, 2011 by Ryuk
Sorrow Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Have anyone ever stopped and thought about how RO works? Seriously. Paladins are hunky with massive amounts of HP and the ability of protecting allies, acolyte and mage types usually come with a low health pool and get either very useful supporting abilities or high offense. Thief-types get high flee rates, archer-types get high hit rates. Assumptio opposes Lex Aeterna, Full Chemical Protection opposes Full Stripping. The list goes on, think about it and you can see. That means; RO is based on team play, one class can cover the other's flaws as they work together. And usually forming parties is the best/only way for a class to show its full usefulness. You want to suggest another PvP room where solists can live their selfish fantasies, go ahead, i can agree to that. But i can't agree to impose such method as a must for all teamplayers also. Being that my point of view; suggestion reproved. Fun Fact; i never won ladder, ever ^^ 1
SlingerzDeluxez Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I disagree with the main point, but I agree with Sorrow. Playing with parties makes things more fun, and brings out the opportunity for the role that your class was made for. GvG is a great example of this.
Veracity Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 - Accepted - (for consideration) We're most likely going to disable parties in the PvP room but permit them elsewhere.
