Kayla Minerre Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 So I've raised quite a few pets, and I understand that the ones that aren't already a pet like Pinguicula or Harpy use poring as their default "Performance" pettalk. It's understandable since it would be a pain to add custom pettalk for all of them (3-4 lines of talk). But why do the pets that were originally pets not have their "performance" talk? I would be happy to write out a LOT "Performance" pettalk if it would mean actually having a pet that didn't act like a poring. I don't know how hard it would be to do this as a script or whatever since I am not, but If my making the lines myself would help to convince somebody then sweet! Any feedback would be welcome ^-^
jorgesilvera Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Use @pettalk [insert here what you want to hear form the pet] ^^ So it would be boring to code all the abaliable pet. Nothing more can be done.
Meka Meka Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) I like the idea of an update to all the pet speech. I like to be surprised, and it'd be cool if there was one collective creative source that was writing new pet talk! Cute and funny new dialogue would be a better incentive to get a pet than for just the 'eye candy' Although I think if it could be user defined that would be interesting, but there would also be a lot of room for abuse. Nadtorious Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I was thinking if we can customize it similar to Frost Joke no ?
Kayla Minerre Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Yeah I wouldn't mind writing out all the stuff for the pets. I mean it's not like I have anything better to do. The Frost Joke thing would be interesting too but would probably be even harder to do. And I'm well aware of the @pettalk "blah blah". I'm just sick of seeing "Did you mixed the fruits how I like" and "Poring isn't fat, we're just under tall" when you feed it >.>
Veracity Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Sure, we can do this if someone is willing to write out what the pets should say and PM me it. - Accepted -
