Genesis Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Example: Entire guild is on the top right of the map. Hidden person is on the top left of the map. If a GM broadcasts that the hidden person is on the top left and the person moves, the guild should catch the person running to the right of the map, or to the lower section of the left if they act quick enough. We could also make it so if the first broadcast doesn't do a anything to stop the hiding/running, after x amount of time the GMs rebroadcast the location.
nines Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) 1 Person hiding isn't going to be able to take a guild of people. Correction. If the last remaining character is a fcper it won't be able to take them on. If the last remaining character is a stalker and the other guild doesn't have fcp anymore the stalker does have a chance. Those are the only two cases I see that nothing can be done. Edit. GM's are never supposed to participate in any event they hold. Even though I see it most of the time >>. The rules should not be bent just because they are hosting. If your a GM your supposed to follow all of the rules, not only use them when they are to your convenience. Eminence Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) Edit. GM's are never supposed to participate in any event they hold. Even though I see it most of the time >>. The rules should not be bent just because they are hosting. If your a GM your supposed to follow all of the rules, not only use them when they are to your convenience. GvG being the only exception to this rule. If you suspect a GM is disobeying this rule then report it with adequate proof (Screen shots/Fraps videos). Edited January 25, 2011 by Eminence
nines Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Memory used to be the dedicated host for GvG and he used to be really good friends with all of us who gvged vs influence. And he never participated in GvG unless it was the day wish was hosting. I think that counts
Justice Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) That could just be because he didn't want to join in. I've hosted GvG countless times.. I could join with my guild, but I simply don't want to. Edited January 25, 2011 by Justice
HealHard Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 (edited) Also some situations to add. For example, i was stripped by drax in one GVG and ran from him for a long time until strip has passed and then i managed to kill his sniper. I think its a fair move. GVG is about tactics. We should just state the rules when running is ok. GM can easily watch the player(s) that are outnumbered to see if they are wasting ppl's time or waiting for 2x attack or strip effect gone or if they are trying to split the group of enemies or waiting untill enemy's FCP is over. Its not that hard maybe? But at this point our GVG Judge must be a trustworthy person. So if Judge thinks that person is just hiding w/ no chance to win he tells out his location. Maybe we should have some voting on few GMs who can host GVGs to make one(two?) actual Judges. And only Judges can host GVGs. seems great. Oh yes, please kick dead people out :) this would make them want to last longer in gvg to see what happens inside. Edited January 30, 2011 by HealHard
zac Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 I say the few players that remain should be warped to a smaller map, to finish the fight.
Cirrus Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) ^ You may have something here. Together with the people getting warped out of GvG, the remaining living players will be warped (probably by a GM NPC script, some maps also have timers that warp you out to some other place when the time runs out, like thana_boss after Thana dying, etc) to a smaller map after say, 1 hour, to a map like... the LMS map or the previous PvP Arena? It still shouldn't be a forced-confrontation map, they lesser numbered people should still have space to move and flank, or come from somewhere people won't expect. It also has to be PvP off at the start to separate the remaining parties. Edited January 31, 2011 by Cirrus
Seraphine Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Already have a map idea gonna post a few pics later wouldnt be too hard something manageable..

Not to force confrontation no, but still smaller than that GVG map O.O lol Edited January 31, 2011 by zac
Drax Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Once again, im sick and tired of having people hosting the GvG take part in it also, i was asked to move both of my chars that were in Loli to another location on the map and leave party and funny thing is when i rushed trans side.... i noticed SEVERAL people in a different guild in the trans party aswell so................ once again can we have somebody who does not take part in the event please host it...
Seraphine Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Im not going to argue you with you but i never saw anyone but your 2 chars if you would like to verify maybe a screenshot? As from what i saw no other characters that were in trans party in a different guild from what i saw please don't try to say im favoriting Trans if you feel that way by all means let me know next time because i was completly unaware at the time.
Drax Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 no i dont have a SS, but i was told by several people who saw it and said the same thing.
Genesis Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Word of mouth when it comes to rival guilds is never reliable. Plus, I was on during GvG. I didn't see any questionable activity, if I'm wrong that's what the Ticket system is for. A dedicated Gm for GvG isn't going to work unless it's someone like Miracle/Seraphine who is on most of the time. Even then, not a good idea in practice.
Veracity Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 As Genesis already stated we are not going to be having a dedicated host for GvG nor would we restrict it to Senior GMs only. That being said, we'll take the other discussions in here into consideration and address any issues with GvG as soon as possible. Thank you everyone for your feedback! - Accepted -
