Sprite And Art Competitions

Sprite Artist's and Art contest's because Photo-Manipulators shouldn't have all the fun which pretty much being biased against other talents just because you can show off art and sprite edits in a forums doesn't mean it can calm a flame for high spirited competitor's in these fields.

Sprite competition's for new themed items to put in or just contests for themed sprite artist's weekly to monthly and themed contest's for artist's that way it is fair to the other talents on this site.

I completely agree with this, and I personally also saw no reason at all to forbid hand drawn pictures in Sotw. So yes I'd like seeing other contests such as these as well then.

They disallowed hand drawn pictures because SOTW lies in the manipulation of the stock, not the creation of the stock itself. There are some of our entrants that manipulate their drawings, but the problem is, voters often judge the drawing rather than the manipulation itself. I do agree on some of these new contests, though, given that enough people will participate to make it viable.

Posts hidden. This is a suggestion. We have explained our reasons, and the rule about hand-drawing will stay for those reasons. There is no point arguing about it any more. If I see any more arguing about it, or flaming, no matter how small, I will increase warn.

There isn't even enough participation in SOTW to justify creating more competitions. For the time being, you can show off your work in the Originality section.
