Perishable Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 Yeah, all the MvPs are becoming a huge problem for the newbies. Almost everyday, I go through people asking me to help kill MvP monsters for them. I think we should reduce the current HP of all the MvPs and let the newbies have a chance of killing them so they won't leave the server because of it. It is a good opportunity for them because it will help get cards and drops from them easier and also have a better chance of killing it. The HP of MvPs right now are mostly good for players that are geared. It will be easy for the geared people but don't they still kill it at a high HP? This might help the new people that come in and won't leave right away because of the insane HP of MvPs that they're looking at. Doesn't matter how much, but like lower the current HP on MvPs please. We do 999,999x Asura Strikes on MvP on Champion. And players who aren't geared don't do that much and takes super longer to kill MvPs than geared players.

OverRated Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 agree to a point. the hp thing is quite annoyin for the new players. i tried using the new newbie set that is given and it sure helps with getting lvled but after that its way useless trying to kill some mvps. took like 45 min to kill a tg with the new set even with emp on and stuff

Id suggest just lockin in certain cards into the set armor = tao hp boost non slotted so it will be Armor = 25% boost Cloak would be like Just more Sp Boots could be like a Fbh boost Boots = Damage increase by 35 and stuff but the only monster i think that should keep its hp is thana since its the prized mvp.

So yeah, the HP of MvPs could be lower than what it is now or the MvP soldier set could be made better. :)

All in all, it's a win-win situation for everyone because: Nerfing it is not a big advantage to the pro-er players because lowering the MVP's hp is just a matter of like ~5-10 more Asura Strikes. It's busy work. However for the newer players, that HP nerf could mean the difference of having fun and playing the server compared to not having fun and leaving because he got ksed by some newbfeg. Lower all the MVP's HP except Thanatos, Detale, and whichever ones drop Icepick. Keep the spawn rates the same though. Angels&Demons Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Totally agree on this. Since most, if not all, old players have already all the gearse and mvp cards they need. So basically, those who are hunting MVPs are the new players. Lowering the HP of MVPs would certainly help retain a lot more new players than the high HPs would. And as mentioned before, even for the old players, it's just a matter of taking less asuras and time to kill an MVP.

Coming from a recently fallen server that had normal MVP hp, I was like "ZOMGWTF?" jejejej. On topic, This was me 2 years ago. BUUT BIG DIFFERENCE: Players were a lot nicer to me. Lol,, o-o, That kind of thing happen to a lot of people who just came to the server,, Its either we nerfed the Mvp/Lowered their HP/Give a proper set which may help them kill the Mvp's and make the Pvp Mvp's spawn map off, so they wont really get killed when some guy come then KOsing us,, and when we came back the Mvp's already being killed by him/her. :\ kinda sad tho. x3; Soo, +1 on this.
Xtopher Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I don't agree with turning off pvp on the MVP maps. It's stated in the rules that all MVPs that aren't specific player summons (Thana/Professor Summons/Bloodies) are free for all and you can be killed when trying to MVP. Having issues with PKing is very different from MVPing. It's a PK server and it's going to happen, but I don't feel the uber MVP buffs are necessary.
