Wish Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Alright, we've decided to promote activity and productivity. From now on, each GM will be given only the basics to do their job. Whatever items you currently have will stay on your account, however. Here's the deal (make sure you read this carefully): You get one credit for the following: Hosting at least two events per day. Note that for this, if you host one event one day, and one the next, that will count as one credit. However, one event one day, no event the next day, and one event the third day will not count for a credit. Credits will not exceed one per day, but that doesn't mean you're not encouraged to host more than one event. Help desks also count as an event. Answering 5 tickets over time. This cannot be merely a bump, as you should not be bumping tickets. It has to be a meaningful reply that adds value to the ticket or helps the player. You can get up to two credits per day. However, we don't get that many tickets, so you are more likely to get one per day, and the odd extra credit every once in a while. For every 40 credits, you may request any one item of your choosing for your GM. You may not pass the item(s) to your legit. It is VERY important that you do not pass any items from GM to legit or vice versa. I have logged everyone's current items. We will be checking your inventories from time to time. If anything goes missing, you will be kicked from the team and your legit, as well as any other accounts linked to your IP or account, will be banned as well. I urge you not to try it. But aside from that, we hope that this offers a little bit of incentive, and that you enjoy what items you get. :)
Passion Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Hosting at least two events per day. You can get up to two credits per day. However, we don't get that many tickets, so you are more likely to get one per day, and the odd extra credit every once in a while. I know that it says at least 2 events, but how about hosting more than 4 events in 1 day? Can you put the extra point there? Just a little note for some other GMs. As much as this is a good idea for the team just to get items on GM. Remember that we do events for the server, not just to get items to make you look good around the city. Remember to Host properly. (mistakes being exeptional) Try not to rush the event just because you'll be wanting to host another event. We host to make the server people happy. Anyway just a reminder. :D And does hosting a Help Desk count? (Since it is under Event logs)
Miku Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Well if theres more than one gm on we should credit the gms who assist to so everyone gets there fair share also. so 15 days to Get my teal emp! Im on it!
Lyris Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Yes, assisting GMs should be credited too. Since they had the effort to go and assist the hosting GM. One note, just because replying to 5 tickets will add one credit, it doesn't men that all the GMs should rush to reply simply for the posts, it must be necessary and appropriate as well.

This is because if we have every GM hosting 10000 events just to get credits, it will overwhelm the server. Well if theres more than one gm on we should credit the gms who assist to so everyone gets there fair share also. so 15 days to Get my teal emp! Im on it! Events only count if YOU are the one hosting. Those helping don't count. So take turns!
Justice Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Interesting... Is it just answering a ticket? Or Solving one? Or posting in a ticket in general?
Veracity Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I think this is a great idea. Hopefully it will encourage the GMs to be active more. (:
Wish Posted October 3, 2010 Author Report Posted October 3, 2010 Interesting... Is it just answering a ticket? Or Solving one? Or posting in a ticket in general? Posting meaningfully in a way that helps lead toward the solving of a ticket. By the way guys, no need to bump tickets. ;)
Justice Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 xD Ok. And what about help desks? Do they count towards this?
Guest Azrael Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Great! But by the way, how it will be tracked? =)
Wish Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 xD Ok. And what about help desks? Do they count towards this? They'll count the same as events. Or 1 event and 1 help desk. Great! But by the way, how it will be tracked? =) Magically. However, if you'd like to know how many "credits" you have, you may contact me and ask.
Ryuk Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) QUOTE Events only count if YOU are the one hosting. Those helping don't count. So take turns! Doesn't this only discourage GMs from helping each other ? In my opinion the helping GMs take just the same amount of time and effort into hosting the event as the one that's actually "hosting" it. So helpers/co-hosters not getting any credit at all is one thing I completely disagree with / don't understand. As for the rest. I like the idea. Edited February 5, 2012 by Coco Quoting mistake.
Wish Posted October 15, 2010 Author Report Posted October 15, 2010 The reward is to get people active. If you're waiting for your turn, then you'll be on working and doing something. On top of that, you shouldn't need anything to make you want to help your team out. :)
Wish Posted January 9, 2011 Author Report Posted January 9, 2011 Bumping and pinning this for our new GMs.

Veracity Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 LTS is different, of course that would count for both. Other events where the assisting GMs aren't truly necessary will not count.
