Hannah Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 I'm not a big fan of football... Well I'm not a fan at all, I freakin' hate the sport but I felt like posting this topic. England has my support since I do live here. Which country you supporting for?
jorgesilvera Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Argentina, Chile, España y Mexico!
Irisu Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Spain, England. Although they just drew with USA 1-1. And err. Edited June 14, 2010 by Iris.
Elimination Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Argentina ftw!! And I still have hopes for Australia :D
Danny Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I don't know lol Netherland, Germany and Argentina I guess.
Rayray Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 South Korea and Germany. But I like USA too. never liked spain :p
Irisu Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 spain can kiss my ass HOW CREATIVE You're rooting for the team who's "supposed" to win GOOD JOB GUYS Well, the only reason I support them is because of Fernando Torres. I never said they're gonna win, lmao.
Xtopher Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I hope USA wins just for the lulz. We don't care about soccer... I mean we came in 3rd in liiiiike..... 1930? I do like watching the riots after 3rd world countries lose though.
Rayray Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I see it pointless to support a team that EVERYONE is supporting and EVERYONE is saying "they are gonna win it". And USA isn't bad actually, they are playing way past my expectations. South Korea is kicking some ass though.
Xtopher Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 It's not about the US being good or bad. It's about no one wanting us to win and the fact that most of our population doesn't give a sh!t where as it's an extremely big thing in other countries that makes it lulz worthy. I'm just saying, we're an underdog.
Xtopher Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Ticket sales in one region don't really reflect how much our population cares...especially in comparison to other countries where the sport is tied into their culture.
Cirrus Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I never found myself supporting any team... I just watch and enjoy as those 2 teams who are playing right then and there play the game. Like that Holland v Denmark game. Oh god. Lol. Football being my sport of choice, I find it fun to just sit back and analyze both teams, than root for one and focus on it the whole game.
Xtopher Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 We generally have more money to throw around than other countries. Sure there are people who care about soccer here, but I'm saying it's no where near as important to us as it is to others. Hopefully it will grow and we'll become more competitive... but I'm willing to bet soccer is not on the top of the list in the entertainment for US citizens. Was just goofing and people get so upset.
Hannah Posted June 14, 2010 Author Report Posted June 14, 2010 I watched that Holland vs Denmark game today at school, they let us watch it, lol. I support Germany as well as England too and they did awesome yesterday, versing Australia. Kicked their ass! The England vs. USA game, I think if Green DID save that ball, then both teams wouldn't have scored for the rest of the game and the score would be 1-0. But they drew and I was disappointed. -_-
Irisu Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 idk i guess i just don't understand supporting a team based on one player when it's a team sport. Correct, I agree. But that's just how i started liking football, so i guess i took it by from that perspective. You don't have to agree with me , like I said it's by preference. And yes, USA were better off compared to England which is why it was a well deserved draw. No qualms about that. And let's just enjoy the world cup. ;)
Thi@go Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Brazil ftw!!! But in this world cup, Dunga( gay ) didn't call the betters brazilians players, then I think that Brazil, Holland or Spain will win it.
Wish Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Let's not pick fights over this. It's one thing to give your opinion, but it is not ok to start flaming people for their own opinions.
Adamxd Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Brazil ftw!!! But in this world cup, Dunga( gay ) didn't call the betters brazilians players, then I think that Brazil, Holland or Spain will win it. Man, fat ronaldo, smoking weed Adriano addicted to alcohol, or Ronaldinho fatass who ended his career 3 years ago? ( I mean he sucks now)
Thi@go Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Man, fat ronaldo, smoking weed Adriano addicted to alcohol, or Ronaldinho fatass who ended his career 3 years ago? ( I mean he sucks now) Ronaldinho still is good, but Dunga called some bad players and didn't call some good players. I agree with you about Ronaldo and Adriano.
Adamxd Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Don't worry mate, Brazil is always strong, you have Kaka, Robinho, Luis Fabiano ( I tihnk he can become a star) Elano, Lucio, and a lot of great players...
