That'd would be a bit too much (in my opinion). Also crit builds require a lot of gear switching as well, you use less skills but it's not just clicking and ygging.

Also crit builds require a lot of gear switching as well, you use less skills but it's not just clicking and ygging. then how about we make skid trap last longer when you arrow shower it? right now you can only hit it twice with arrow shower. how bout making it last for another arrow shower. its really hard to put skid trap 3 to 4 cells away from q champ. thats like enough distance to asura you..well you can put reducts but what if they speed asura you? -well im just saying. i havent seen crit build that changes gears-lol.

If you would call yourself pro, then you should not be qqing about other class getting a boost(that they do need). You will then take it as a challenge to better off what you might call "skills".

I seen a champ that killed me with 250k hp elite shield with Usakoring Ghostring and 2 raydric cards he just killed me in 1 aaura he must have had Thana or something. And Sinx? well what can i say 2daggers and 8 card slots + edp? not much to complain about there.....

Sorrow Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 i do believe getting no damage boost is unfair; Snipers fight using as a main attack a skill they've learned as archers. That's just too sad on its own. On low rates Falcon Assalt pretty much hit kills anything that isn't a Lord Knight or Paladin, but the skill suffers from a fixed formula which makes it worthless for a high rate, which indicates they deserve a stronger attack move. Ranged Damage is incredibly penalized; Comparing SW with Pneuma you already get the notion of how biased the game mechanics are towards meelee. Charge Arrow/Arrow Repel does by pass pneuma on official servers, for obvious reasons. Although the greatest penalty for a sniper's damage is the Vit, giving Inca the property to bypass Vit and equip def when compounded in a bow would greatly help snipers in therms of damage. They could be given the ability to use Ganbaiten; pneuma really screws snipers over, Clowns can still use Tarot when someone uses Pneuma, snipers can...cry? Another funny upgrade would be the ability to use Beast Strifing in demi-humans...giving some utility to their spirit... BTW Snipers don't have a great amount of HP and don't use shield; they die faster than wizzards. i dare say; snipers are the most underpowered class at the moment...how the mighty have fallen.

The "if you don't like it then quit" mentality will get a server no where. You must be open to new ideas and suggestions, even if they're completely illogical or not possible. Atleast the player cares enough to suggest it, but responses like just quit will never help the server grow. Anyhow, I don't see anything wrong with a small dmg boost to DS, or maybe a in change falcon assault/blitz beat to make it somewhat useful. Obviously not as strong as VA though because of the range snipers have.

It's like this server has stripped them of every advantage they once had that made them good. Adum* Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 i agree with a chance to pierce pneuma. if arrow repel is able to pierce pneuma easily, then we just made that skill useless. i think youre thinking about champa using that skill. theres a priest out there waving at you. youre basing it off from what you read, not even trying to play it. for me snipers are not really that much underpowered. you see, statuses doesnt work here- they bare works cause of all the custom stuff- but with out those, snipers will have more chance to win. i really suggest try to main snipers first before you say theyre underpowered.

But i so feel a damage boost to go along with them is only fair seeing as DS is a skill learned as an archer it is not fit as it is not to be used as a main skill. All the classes main skills are way higher damage than this skill. This skill is in fact THE WEAKEST Main skill in the server Bash is stronger than DS Also your forgetting 1 more character that would benefit from a DS damage boost. Stalker at least they would be able to use DS as well. Snipers have the weakest main offensive skill in the server. They cannot use a shield. They do not have buffs such as Maximum Over Thrust or EDP (Attention Concentrate doesn't even double your attack like Maximum Over thrust) They have a low HP modifier Pneuma is like GTB for archers. Magic attacks 1hit ko them. And also it is very hypocritical to try to be pushing tactics on a offensive and defensive impaired class when the main classes in the server are huge "Damage Mongrels" go push tactics on champs and Sinx in exchange for their offensive abilities... bet you wouldn't like that.... Those all combine to make snipers the weakest class in the server. Seriously they are a match for no one. A Super-Novice can wipe the floor with a sniper due to pneuma and magic skills. Sorrow Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) Well Adum, i really do see your point, snipers can and should use more strategy and running is not the wrong way to play as sniper at all. But, out of all the large arsenal of traps, only two remain useful; Anckle Snare and Skip Trap. One defeated by Snap and BackSlide, main skills of those who are your usual adversaries. And Skip Trap becomes useless when someone used RSX(90% of the server and i'm included always carry a spare RSX armor). The objective of PvP is defeating the adversary, and with abundance of yggs, a low damage output can be easily out-healed. A descent average PvP built character should have at least 200k HP, if you hit shielded people for 16~20k(average damage for a good non-thana user sniper's DS) that's 10~14 DS you'd have to land to kill...off course untill you press 10~14xHotkey+click, the adversary will press his/her ygg hotkey at least once. And probably the Cloaking/Snap/BackSlide/Hide/Chase Walk/Pneuma/Charge Attack/TSS along to boot. It gets worse if you imagine you're being ganged and can't use GTB/Usa... i don't see much fairness in this scenario. A Super-Novice can wipe the floor with a sniper due to pneuma and magic skills.
