Problem with FRo

I cant get setup.exe to detect direct3d hal. I just installed the game and it wasnt detecting direct3d hal so i install directx version 9.0c and now i have directx and everything should be perfect but setup.exe wont redetect or whatever it has to do to detect direct3d hal and let me choose the graphics options.

When I try to play the game it closes out immidiately with no error and when i go to setup.exe it shows nothing in the top box where it should show direct3d hal. I'm not able to play.

Your problem can be your video graphic driver ( most likely ) or a badly installed Video Card. What you should do is get the model number as well as the manufacturer of your graphic card go to their website and download the correct driver.

I just installed the new driver, the correct version, and restarted my computer, but the setup.exe direct3D hal is still blank..

1. Did you reformat your computer?

2. Did the driver come with the computer?

3. Did you make sure to uninstall the previous driver before installing the new one?

I had the same problem as you did, what resolved it was reinstalling my video card drivers as well as some other video card programs from microsoft, why don't you try removing the video card, putting it in another slot rebooting your computer it might recognize it as new hardware if it doesn't turnthe computer off and put it back to the original place, this kinda stuff happens when you reformat.

It seems like the setup and/or your computer doesn't detect the correct graphic card and it's drivers, are you sure you've installed the correct graphic driver that matches your graphic card type?
