Apo Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Just thinking that, maybe Mage Class should be able to use Thanatos Card this way: Instead of doing more damage according to DEF, it should do more dammage acording to MDEF. And since people are dying for a new MvP we could make a Skoll-Like as it's counter effect. Yes, No, Maybe? Why? Edited December 31, 2009 by Apo
Apo Posted December 31, 2009 Author Report Posted December 31, 2009 Better than it's current use for mage if you ask me.
Apo Posted December 31, 2009 Author Report Posted December 31, 2009 It's not because you feel harmed by the suggestion as it would result in your death that it shouldn't be implimented, it should be a overall decision
Kusanagi Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I dont think it will make much more diference but lets face it: enough with the thanatos cards users. Those who own a thana now dont need any more help in something that they ALREADY HAVE, perhaps making something new with such effect would be better.
Levis Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I like this idea, but are we going to copy every single good card just to be "fair"? Why can't Assassin Cross Class have more supportive Skills like Whitesmith? Or a special Card to add Soul Breaker damage? I like this idea really, since my HW has no chance to win a melee duel. But I am always against changes like this, because we are changing something that shouldn't be like that. If it should be then Gravity wouldn't have scriped things like that. Just my opinion.
Ethereal Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Assassin crosses are meant to be an offensive class; not a supportive class. If we gave them skills similar to whitesmith, that means that they could boost their own damage up and their party mates; thus, allowing them to do far more greater damage than they can. Gravity scripted things that are meant for low rates, not high rates. On high rates, many things change, including class balance. But we try to change things like cards, skills, etc. in order for fair gameplay (although that's nearly impossible at times.)

I am playing this server for a long time as you should know, plus I was just making fun with this, it should be an example. Happy new year everyone.
Ethereal Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I wasn't saying that in a bashful way; and plus I didn't know you were joking around with that. How was I to know? Happy new years to you as well.
Rayray Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 It isn't needed since as everyone pointed out, most class have 1 base int anyway except the mage class.
Apo Posted January 1, 2010 Author Report Posted January 1, 2010 no classes has 1 base int lol, else as soon as you put gtb or fbh u cant use any skills anymore
» Pat Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 On a side note; this might render Starve Crasher nearly useless.
supernoodle Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 just throwing it out there, WHAT IF!! thanatos card gave magic attacks the ability to bypass GTB?! maybe with no status effects tho, and less damage or something like that? idk just my suggestion...
Cirrus Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I've been playing a High Wizard for PvP recently, and this suggestion probably wouldn't help the class. As said in this thread, if not on a Tao, most classes would only have 14 to almost 0 MDEF due to Forsaken Belts. INT-MDEF, the primary "problem" classes (SinX, LK, Pally, with the exception of Champ) would have 1 base INT, hence deriving all the bonus INT-MDEF from, maybe, headgear universal stat bonuses, the low job level class specific bonus, perhaps, the F.Set bonus, but where else? They'd have more or less 0-14 (w/o Tao) + < 100. Furthermore, the suggestion will only help the mage class own against... other mages, and maybe to a lesser extent, Champions. Which we don't really need (maybe Champs heh) but as Pat said, I've been using Thana Stave Crasher against GTB /non-Skoll users because yeah, what can I do against GTB? At best I can kill not very geared / not very good players, but GTB and Skoll, I'd best run a Cloak-Safety Wall and try to *gasp* melee and strip! And yeah please refrain from suggesting something unrelated in someone else's suggestion, there's always the new topic function for that. :)
