plotus2 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 I'm looking forward for fRo to implement these asap as they have been already accepted quite a while ago: 1) @storeall command 2) New MVP 3) Yggdrasil Seed weight reduced to half (30 --> 15) 4) @ali commands for two different items at a time
Terroryst Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 Aura Blade. :( I'm sure they're working on lots of stuff though, so we gotta give 'em that.
Adum* Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 i dont see the point of @storeall and for @ali for 2 items, you can fill up your storage with different stuff and just use autoloot. right?o.o

Adum* Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Don't ruin the moment noob. ;o I was simply stating an alternative since I find those commands pretty useless.
Ethereal Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Wow, that's a long list. But some of those things (eg. palletes, re-colors, etc) will probably require outside and voluntary help. The only person I know in the staff who can re-color/sprite is Devotion.
Ethereal Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I think you have a great point there. I believe we have 2-3 scripters (Sensation, Apo and I think Genesis as well) who are able to do the changes like making the Ticket Exchanger NPC exchange more than one ticket, but are unfortunately very busy these days. But for other things like having rucksack quests, I think we could have like a server-wide contest on quest submissions. It'd be really great to have the community's input on what goes into the server.
Genesis Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I think you have a great point there. But for other things like having rucksack quests, I think we could have like a server-wide contest on quest submissions. It'd be really great to have the community's input on what goes into the server. You hit the nail on the head, the main problem is the community will ask for something say... " More Safari Mobs" but don't specify what exactly they want. Do you want more MvP? Do you want more mini-bosses? Perhaps just standard mobs? How often should they spawn? Specifications on for example, quests or vote items would help us tremendously. We'd really appreciate something we can base ourselves on and work with. Broad suggestions like " I want more... x" really leave us blank. Hopefully people will read this and post suggestions specifying what they would like. Note: By specifications I mean, requirements, effect of the quest item, and things of that nature. PS: I'm not sure if you ever saw our To-do list a few weeks/months ago Ami but it was huge, we've really slimmed it down and implemented a lot of things even with a lot of set backs like bad coding on eA's part/redoing NPCs/Reorganization of systems/etc. Point being, it might take some time to get everything done but we'll get there. :smile_anim:
Sensation Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Define the suggestions SMART and we're really able to work on those updates/suggestions a lot faster. But as Genesis mentioned, we only gain things like; we want more x, give us quest item y, increase duration of skill b. What we're thinking then, item x can be anything, quest item y can be anything, does the quest has to be long, short, involve killing mvps, group questing, super rare drops or just tons of drops of 100 different items. Increasing skill duration, how long minimum, compared to what is it short etc. It's nice listing what we haven't done, but try listing what we did, putting everything in a negative light isn't making us working harder on it. I personally don't want overly grateful people thanking me non-stop, but all we see is on every update, why didn't you do this or that, instead of e.g: "hey thanks we're seeing progress in the implementation of all the updates, keep up with the good work". P.S. Battlemode without the double space tapping never was accepted, just the double typing removal (and it works for me on this server, broadcaster & chats etc).
Levis Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Lol. I agree with Plotus2. I haven't played for a bit longer and nothing changed really and I read those things should be implemented in a few.
Sensation Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 You were a GM, you were able to make a difference, yet resigned by your own free will. I don't have anything to add nor will have anything to add in the future. Happy new year and have fun. P.S. Click on SMART in my previous post, it's a link.
Genesis Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I'll make a post when I have time with a guideline to suggestions, the majority of suggestions do not specify exactly what the verdict is. Perhaps the topic mover/closer can provide that verdict. Just to clarify, the bugs that were fixed in the recent update were not caused by "NPCs / items weren't double/triple/quadruple checked and tested before implementation." they were caused by an over saturation of NPCs with multiple timers/functions (i.e. the addition of content). In fact, most of those NPCs have been working perfectly for years. That is why Apo had to reorganize the entire system. I think we ( the Development team ), would know what caused said bugs better than anyone else.
