Dearly Beloved Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Just curious, but will we ever have @Whodrops again? I thought the reason was that it made things easier for us, but I'm unsure. So now I'm asking you guys. What do you think is the reason or what was the real reason it was taken out? Well whoever will see this, I hope you help me or have a suggestion. Byee =)
gtx0032 Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 well you can always alt tab to ratemyserver.net to check what you need before going or doing any quests. i didnt know this command worked so i've been used to planning ahead before i go anywhere.
Dearly Beloved Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 Oh, true. It's just I know some people, such as myself, who sometimes get lazy going on ratemyserver.net. Also, ratemyserver.net has some things missing. By the way, @whodrops was an old command and I'm happy that there's at least one person who's not lazy in the world (No offense to anyone!!!). Still curious, but thank you for answering my question gtx0032. =)
The Hemperor Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 By the way, @whodrops was an old command and I'm happy that there's at least one person who's not lazy in the world (No offense to anyone!!!). I agree with ya there Beloved. Some players would probably be all for an @autohunt command if it was suggested! ;p hehehe The more the game plays for us, the less of a game it becomes.
Dearly Beloved Posted December 13, 2009 Author Report Posted December 13, 2009 Oh, I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear, but I'm sorta of iffy on having the @whodrops back or not. I'm sorry for the mixed up everyone. Sorry for confusing you, The Hemperor, but thank you so much for your support and opinion. =)
SmarTie Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 I seriously think that command @whodrops is very very useful. =(
Perishable Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 I don't think our server took it out. I think its our update for our server or something
bossapoy1 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 i think the @whodrops command is removed for Server's EVENTs purposes
Cirrus Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Yet most of the GMs who make people go for Scavenger Hunts recommend going to www.ratemyserver.net. Ya... good observation, Sherlock.
Dearly Beloved Posted December 30, 2009 Author Report Posted December 30, 2009 I agree with you too SmarTie, that @whodrops is a good command. I get what you mean Perishable, since they have been updating things lately and possible putting their money into those things. Hm. I did forgot about that, thanks bossapoy1 &cirrus. It will be a cheat if they did used @whodrops during the Scavenger Hunt Event. Oh! And good inference bossapoy1. Thanks for all your suggestion =) To tell you the true, I thought people forgot about this post. Sorry about that, but still, thank you SO MUCH.
xiche Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 i think the command is useful too and you can buy game gold to update your force
Apo Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 wasnt that commands fucked in the first place?
Dearly Beloved Posted December 31, 2009 Author Report Posted December 31, 2009 Hello xiche &Apo i think the command is useful too Mhm. It is. It is. and you can buy game gold to update your force Hm? I don't comprehend. My apologizes. wasnt that commands fucked in the first place? Hm. I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer for that. I've been gone from time to time.
Apo Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Used to say that nothing drops this item all the time.
» Pat Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Even if it did, it was a great help for everybody doing quest. q___q;;
Dearly Beloved Posted January 1, 2010 Author Report Posted January 1, 2010 Used to say that nothing drops this item all the time. Oh. That is true. I think it also goes for ratemyserver.net. I had incident where I need to collect chocolate &when I went on to ratemyserver.net, I was able to find chocolate, but I wasn't able to find any good monster to kill &that had well enough spawn. Thank you for pointing that out Apo. Even if it did, it was a great help for everybody doing quest. q___q;; Mhm. It was very helpful for other. Especially for me, since I seem to collect/farm often. Haha.
Dearly Beloved Posted January 4, 2010 Author Report Posted January 4, 2010 Not much of a waste tho IMO you're better off with using rate my server even if it takes a little longer. Hm. Thats true as well.
Thunderbunny Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 @whodrops is not just useful, it is necessary. Take the following into account: In the RMS DB the Item 'Freezing Bow' is dropped by Gazeti. In Ice dungeon, however, it is not dropped. Try @mi Gazeti... So... where is the item dropped? If the server moves/removes a drop from the default system, then the information should be made available through some other means. I am not a big fan of easter egg hunts and even less a fan of Farming By Serendipity. Yeah, please restore this command.
Genesis Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Unfortunately eA has a very serious bug with @whodrops making the results be extremely off 9 it seems as if they 'leak' from other queries ). Multiple bug reports have been filed and till they fix it there is not much we can do. =\
Dearly Beloved Posted January 10, 2010 Author Report Posted January 10, 2010 Unfortunately eA has a very serious bug with @whodrops making the results be extremely off 9 it seems as if they 'leak' from other queries ). Multiple bug reports have been filed and till they fix it there is not much we can do. =\ Oh wow. Um. Okay then. Thank you for the "real" reason. I have a question. If @whodrops is fixed, is there a possibility that this command will be put back into the server?
Shadi Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) It would most likely be implemented automatically with an svn update that includes the fix. However we can't know when they'll fix it, but it will most likely be back in-game once they do. (that is unless Genesis wants to keep it out, which I doubt.) Edited January 10, 2010 by Shadi
Genesis Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 I'll take a crack at it once I have some free time, I don't like messing with eA's source simply because it is a bit sloppy.
Shadi Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Sounds awesome, and true eA is quite sloppy but eventually it will be fixed by them as well. Just takes pretty long if you have to wait for them :weird:

Oh okay. Thanks for updating me on the command and take as long as you want. No rush at all. =) Edited January 12, 2010 by Dearly Beloved
