Phenix Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I was thinking 2day that ruckies slowy keep going up in price and that u would have to be crazy to pay that for one so for my suggestion a quest ruckie with reduced stats so everyone can a least get one."cuz i love ruckies and hate those MPs,lol"But i thought it would be a good addition to the headgear quest like make it the last in the set and u have to have all the headgear u made except the devi hat cuz the devi sell for 130 qpons,lol.With the addition of a few more item that u have to collect.

Yuki Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 The Hip Ribbon works for both genders and all classes. It's like a reduced-stat version of a normal rucksack. As for the idea of a quest rucksack, I'm a little unsure about it. On one side, we could use more quests that could give a variety of more items that are available to the server, but on the other hand, we already have so many rucksacks and we already have Hip Ribbons as a vote item.

Cirrus Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 The rucksacks from WoE castles will just maintain a normal price, or maybe even fall eventually, because they are continuously getting into circulation (unless a guild leader hoards them all.) The fact that Archangelings were 1.5k when Hohen was new and now they're just 400-450 proves this point. So no, I disagree. It doesn't take much work to hit 300~ coupons (and a Leafring is just ~250.) And if I'm going for vote items, just save for Fluffy Wings. ;]

And it can just be a very basic- nub looking ruckie, like a poring. Nothing special. Even a reduction on stats would be fine. (same as hip ribbon) I mean, c'mon, making guys wear a hip ribbon just to have something slightly similar in stats to a ruckie is just mean. :p Aanddd it'd give more players, especially noobies, something to do and help them out at the same time.

Iirc it's been accepted by the general consensus. Come on, Leafring is from a castle and it looks nub. How much nub-er can you get. LOL. Heck a poring would look better. If ever there was something remotely close to a rucksack (Hip Ribbon ^_^) that looks okay on guys (that backpack thing), it would be on vote rewards. And if there's going to be a questable thing that'd go on lower, the mouth pieces were made for that reason (not bad stats, but if you want an overall boost then vote or save for it), and there's an accepted suggestion for questable wings. Almost everything's being spoon fed in this server, seriously. There is no way mouthpieces can be compared to normal official items, and they're easily questable. There's a ton of "free" stuff over at Vote Rewards, you just have to support the server and vote (even if you don't like it, even. -.-) An item that compares to a PvP Reward. Pretty neat and I can't really ask for more. An item that's half of a ruck's stats, but is "free"? No walk speed decrement too? Wow. Though there could be a male version, yes. Kay well, my point is, there should be a limit to what they'll offer at other levels. So you'll strive better to improve your gear status. Sure, you can have questable stuff, but then there should be always something better than you can't just grind your day away for. Upgrade to a Hip Ribbon / male-version thing, vote for it! Want more? Save up a couple hundred coupons and a bit more or so, and buy one! Or WoE for it! It's all about working your way to the top.
Appie Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 While I can see your point that you should have to work hard for the stuff you have, I don't necessarily agree that it should be the only means of acquiring anything decent in game and I'm sure most of the best geared players spend real money to aquire the gears needed to make into a guild to woe (to get their ruckie and their emp.) As it is now, if you're willing to spend money on the server you can get whatever you need. That's not really work, at all. While those who don't want to donate or cant afford to work hard already and it may take months for them to be geared enough to make it into a guild that participates in WoE. Giving those that already work hard one more questable item such a noob-ruckie wouldn't hurt. And if it's the leafring that looks the most noobish then make that the questable one so you can still feel cool for having your deviling or angeling or whatever. And of course, reduce stats to reduce QQs.

A Hip Ribbon is only 50 vote coupons, 25 days if you do it diligently enough. Hopefully a male version will come out too. But the point in offering nice stuff in Vote Rewards is, the incentive to vote. If you take that away via a quick fix which is a questable, people won't need to wait, and some won't vote anymore, especially if that's all they're after. And no, don't say that they will still continue to vote. A lot only got what they needed and stopped. While definitely a good thing to cater to those ones that don't have time/money, the server has provided a lot of ways to get around a particular obstacle. Sure, some spend real money, but there are a lot like me who just enjoys the pace and goes with the flow. And I'm not exactly poor, either.

I think we could re-name the current rucksack, but it will drop the game price for a ruckie. How's Making it something else? e.g a Shawl or something that goes on the back. I mean Scripting something like a Shawl- wouldn't be too hard. but the actor.. different Story :x How about a tail instead? xD. Different colour ones?
