Millenia Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 No problem with it, what he's requesting can be added to the .spr / .bmp images itself... Don't wanna be rude but when you saying one thing when it isn't true confuses players. But yes, an effect like what you're asking can be added to the .bmps, will I change it? No. It's fine as it is and I see no reason to change the image.

No Offense if you take this as one.
Adamxd Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 LOl one important person >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>rest It's pointless to make topic suggestion if only one person make a decision.
[GM]Relinquish Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 If it was possible and the community wanted it and she wasn't willing to do it ( for whatever reason ) we would be forced to find someone else who would. Changing the color/effect of an item that has already been released for a while has always caused problems ( see Emperium Auroras recolors ). This is the community's decision, not the spriter/person that recolor's.
Born2punish Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 I don't use ROP myself, but I do like the current appearance of our ROP at this moment.
nines Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 A simple sharpen image would make it look good imo but it looks perfectly fine even though its a little hazey but thats the way it was intended to look. simple as that all she did was change the blue outlining to different colors left the rest alone Zha wanted it that way and people like the sprite. most people are against it so i say leave as is and shut this topic the hell up.
Devotion Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 I agree totally, also like the Satan Morroc Drop; Devotion, you want to change something that should not be... No Offense if you take this as one. I don't mind if it changes either way. My job's to make sure people discuss different options, not just accept stuff. What Adamaxd is suggesting isn't without merit. We can certainly have auras that are sparkly or that are like effects (as in 3-D). And if you want to propose a sprite idea, we have a topic in General Discussion for that.

This is the community's decision, not the spriter/person that recolor's. What you said is completely true, however, Emperium Auroras only had their colours changed, and not the sprite appearance itself. Throughout this thread players seem to enjoy the current RoP. Ontop of that we could be bordering the original spriters copyright. If you guys wanted more colours, I'd be fine with that, but when you're asking for work to be completely changed when noone else seems to dislike the sprite... I'm not up for it.
Devotion Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Players do love the original ROP, but Adamaxd's idea for having effect auras is nice. That doesn't mean we're changing ROP.
Sensation Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 Remember the very first elite weapons? They had an item effect through scripting. This should be possible to do for the ROP as far as I'm aware off, would this be close to your idea Adam?
sessions Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I would be up for a change.. The current ROP's are bland
Brugeth Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I like them how they are personally. The only thing I'd be up for changing is maybe, MAYBE, slightly brighter. Or... *cough* Orange RoP *cough*

Hmm I remember elite weps's effect maybe it would look nice, but my idea was adding more sparkliness like GM Devotion said. It looks great when you are linked by soullinker.

Conqueror Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I think you didn't, haven't seen any around.
Millenia Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I think you didn't, haven't seen any around. Yeah, I just checked. If I missed anymore colours I can do 'em.
Kusanagi Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Instead of talking about colors and effect's you should look at the bigger scheme : Fix the Sprite bug. Or Oficially name it as the "Ultimate Defense against Gangs" wich is what I consider it as for now. PD: Im not sure If I was completely clear but the second part was Ironic...
Genesis Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Sensation/Apo are working with the original designer to try and find a solution, it's pretty strange.
Sensation Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 And the original designer can't find the problem in the sprite and neither can we, just giving you guys a heads up of how the conversation is going so far(started ~a week ago).
Devotion Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 A replacement sprite has been found. ~Accepted~
