Genesis Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 The Forsaken King Shield and Armor are not indestructible.
Kittie Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Chariot card isn't breaking them. WS card may. But the tarot skill isn't affecting the F.King's set pieces.
Cirrus Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 I just tested right now and my Forsaken Shield got broken with the Chariot card. >_>
Ethereal Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 If shield is unbreakable, then that means that the Chariot Tarot Card has had it's percentage to break to a really low percentage, just like Whitesmith Card and AD. Then that just goes to prove that the percentage to break has been lowered, just like WS and AD.
Cirrus Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 That or, the Tarot change involved The Chariot being enabled to target Cloaks & Shoes thus lowering the chances of it going to the Helm/Armor/Shield. It's proven to affect the Forsaken Armor/Shield though.
Kittie Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Were you wearing GTB during your tests? I tested Tarot carding my WS but he was wearing GTB and Chariot never broke anything. Maybe it's changed so GTB blocks the whole tarot effect now... >>
Cirrus Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Mhm, no I wasn't. Should test that out too.
Devotion Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Were you wearing GTB during your tests? I tested Tarot carding my WS but he was wearing GTB and Chariot never broke anything. Maybe it's changed so GTB blocks the whole tarot effect now... >> Highly possible, in which case we couldn't change it; messing directly with skills is not recommended.
Ethereal Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Well, if GTB does indeed prevent Chariot from breaking shields, then it's probably considered "unfair" to many. As stated before, breaking shields was one advantage that gypsies/clowns had over other classes. I guess it's come down to two choices so far : The Chariot Card breaks at a really low percentage. GTB prevents the shield from being broken. Most people I think would vote for a change.
Kittie Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Yusssh. A change back to what it was before.
Ethereal Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Agreed. Gypsies are one of my favourite classes, and I personally have to agree that the change should be back to what it used to be.
Devotion Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 If the problem is in the skill, we won't be able to change it.
Ethereal Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Yeah, that is true. The probability of it being affected with the skill is pretty high I think. But, we can only hope that it's not.
Kittie Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 How would we know whether it's a tarot-related change or a GTB-related change?
Ethereal Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Well, I can't be sure on that. I have no idea on how to look at skills/items or whatever in scripting... But another thing to notice, is it me or does the Chariot Card doesn't break as much as it used to even without GTB on?
Cirrus Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 But another thing to notice, is it me or does the Chariot Card doesn't break as much as it used to even without GTB on? True. Before I even got to break my F. Shield and F. Armor, it took quite a while. Though I have to follow up on trying to break an F. Shield with GTB in it. Will try now~ EDIT: So much for the GTB theory. I broke my F.Shield with GTB in it in my 14th Chariot Card. LOL 14th. God that's a low percent. Got lucky though that it DID target the GTB F. Shield.
Ethereal Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Then I think that proves that GTB does not prevent the shield from breaking, but the percentage to break shield has been reduced by a large(?) amount.
