Forsaken Economy

Prices are outrageous and I think I might know why. After looking through the forums and hearing the rise in prices of the Elite items I have determined it down to a simple factor.....The guides are missing prices are rising because people can't simply go out and do the quest to receive the items so there are less and less of the weapons spreading around the community causing the price to rise! I attempted to do the elite quest and got confused at some points myself it should be a priority to get those guides back and at least attempt to balance out the economy...I hear bail out

No this has gotten far out of hand someone tried to charge me 200 Dcoupons for elite guns

The answer is simple. Just don't buy it. Once they realize they are asking too much they'll be forced to drop the price or it simply will not sell.

I know that, but the worst thing is you can't get ahead in this game without certain equips and those guides that used to be there made things = and now without them people are forced to buy its terrible :\

..I thought the prices were going to drop like hell.

Why would they when people are still buying!? This is what makes it ridcoulous because people want their gear! And as long as people want their gear they will keep buying!

That's true, and a lot of people refuse to buy overpriced gear. But then there's what we call desperate buyers, who either want the item RIGHT NOW or have the coupons to waste. That makes it so the sellers don't lower their prices.

But honestly everyone, there should be nothing wrong in the economy. And by the way, economics doesn't work on the principle of "we raise prices on what we want to sell." It's either, all prices increase, all prices decrease, or demand increases on a handful of items, not whatever you think would sell fast.

Also, newbies (unless they donate) do not have the coupons to buy a complete elite set for their character. Which means the main buyers are people who've been here a while. Those players should know where the elite quest is and how to do it. This has zero to do with the guides, prices were up way before the wiki was removed.

Well I'm basing this on reading how Elite guns used to cost 65 coupons and now are somehow all the way up to 200?! Its still outrageous.

probably because GS Gun is demand right now

I still think the guides for Elite quest would eleveate the price :\

if u thinkin this economy is bad, look at the economy of some of the other frequently played RO's

Back on topic, personally i blame the bad server economy on rich people like leni and jae. Nothing against them personally, but when they make new chars or need something they like to overprice because they dont want to wait. (For Example Jae buys TGs for 50 and now TG are 40-45) and when people see stuff like this they go, "OH BOY SOMEONE BOUGHT FOR SO EXPENSIVE THAT MEANS SOMEBODY ELSE WILL TOO!" and when they BC, S>Such and such pm me, you pm and they respond uhm no thanks i coulda sold it to _____ for xx coupons yesterday sorry. Its stuff like this that ruins the economy.

Exactly! I keep trying to point this out. Lets go with if your in a guild for example you can get all guild members to sell a certain item for a certain price and if your in a very populer guild it just becomes a monopoly and since there doing the selling its not likly that whatever they sell they will need to buy back. So the rich get richer!
