» Pat Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 I just wanted to get the new update by patching my Fro patch and it downloaded normally but at about 1650k it suddenly stoped and a message appeared saying : Failed to download file >_< tried to patch again but still couldnt get it ._. what can I do ? ._.

Amalgamation Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Do you have another server in your RO folder? If so, it could somehow cause the problem. Are you the computer administrator? If you aren't that could also be another problem. Are you using an updated kRO and Sakrey? If not, that could possibly also connect to it.

Zeitgeist Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 i got that error as well so i have downloaded the sak1017(newest)then i installed all over again and all worked fine no patch problem! The new kRO clients are released when the developer team realizes the updates are too big for the patcher to handle. The wisest thing to do to have an updated kRO is to download the latest client and let it patch.

If I open my kRO to patch it, it runs normally, patches some things and then the "start game" button appears which tells you that the update id done ._. Edit: this is the latests kRO right?

Now I've tried to get the damn kRO and after a long time I found it. I installed it and then patched it. Suddenly somewhere around 60% the patch stopped and I had EXACTLY the same problem like Elganso (http://forum.forsaken-ro.net/index.php?sho...c=1264&st=0). Then I've tried to download the Valhalla patcher thingy, Zeitgeist talked about in the topic. I got it, patched it, tried patching my kRO and it worked.For a shot time I really thought there might be a little hope left over inside of me. Now both were completely patched (kRO and Sak). I opend the Fro patcher and what happened? MOEP! Failed to download file.. desperation. Then I've ried the other methode. I 've deleted the forsaken.file and then opened the forsaken patch. It started patching from patch number 1 to patch number 15 and I really felt a little happyness only by seeing that the Fro Patcher patches anything. But them , MEOP!Failed to download file. extremly desperation. So I thought of anything I read befor: If kRO patcher crashes, it means that it is way outdated. kRO can only hold around 50mb of temporary data for updates.. I checked the kRO that I've downloaded from the forsakenRO website and noticed that it was only the 0726 patcher ! Well after that I searched for the latests kRO patch (1017 as far as I know) but after about 1,5 hours i got sick and tired of googleing that stupid patch. I just couldnt find it ! >_> If nobody can tell me what I'm doing wrong or tell me how to solve that problem, I'm probaply going to quit Fro coz playing a server which is based on custom maps without beng able to go to these maps bacause you would get a game-crash is just annoying.

Since this is somewhat like my problem, I'm here to tell you be a little more patient just wait some more. The Gm's work very hard to help everyone. I bet they must be extremely busy. I've been gone from the game 1 week heading to my second week. So I understand the desperation. Unless your keen on leaving; which I hope is not the case.
