Rayray Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Internet Dating works and fails in the same manner as real life dating works and fails. It doesn't matter if you are dating in the internet or in real life, it is still as it is, DATING. There will be certain chance it will fail, no matter what you do. And I don't believe most of you who are saying they will never have a connection with someone from the internet. I just think you are thinking about just relationships. As far as I know, members of the community here in fRo, guildmates, or anyone who we spend time talking even if it is in the virtual world makes us connected to each other. And just like VapoRub said, only the physical connection you won't be able to get in the internet. And using your own experience for this kind of matter won't let you see the right answer. Each of us have different experiences regarding relationships. I hope this opens the eyes of those who still cannot see Internet Dating as a good form of dating. If not, then you guys are just too closed minded on the idea of most people, that in order to love someone, you need to know them personally. back to the topic, which is I am sure not about Internet Dating, Being far from the people you love is hard. In my case, I have a girlfriend for 3 years and 4 months. I have known her personally, but her mother HATES me. I think she has LOATHED me ever since I set my foot on their house. So Imagine not being able to talk to her freely. I cannot even invite her to my birthday. and I can't even go to her birthday. So I really hate the situation. But still, I love her so I don't have anything to complain. XD
Hrist Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Actually, its not just internet dating. For example, I could be away from my parents and of course I'd miss them. But yeah, I guess he meant e-dating so idc really. I respect whatever they like.
Icarus Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 I was more referring to e-dating,yeah,but it can also be referred to real life... Each time when I talk to him we both whine about how we can't be with each other and that kinda of stuff =(
Kittie Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Haven't you ever watched You've Got Mail? GOSH.
Icarus Posted April 24, 2009 Author Report Posted April 24, 2009 Haven't you ever watched You've Got Mail? GOSH. No >_> How is it related to this topic?
Sorrow Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 i don't see a difference... i've met wonderful people face to face, i've met wonderful people in the internet. It works fine. Firstly, instead of getting mad because of being too far apart, be glad that you had the chance of meeting ^^ Without the internet what would be the chance of you meeting a special person in the other side of the world? So i guess it's a blessing. Also guys..."relationships in the internet is 100% fail" what the heck is this? Such a selfish(and wrong) assumption.
Kittie Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 No >_> How is it related to this topic? Because it's about internet dating/meet-ups.
Rayray Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 also, I don't know if other people feel like this, I don't play Fro because of the custom items, etc. I play it because I have met so many wonderful people here that like the things that I like.. In a way, we have a mutual connection just because of playing a game. I got to be honest, the only thing that stops me from ever leaving this server is the community.
Kusanagi Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Im very bad at being open with someone in internet.... well at least it takes me some time.... Isnt it unconfortable for u to be comunicating with someone via Internet?, I mean, Maybe Phone calls can do good but Text just feel so frigging cold. Thats why I usually sound so Serious/arrogant/etc via RO, while im a box of laughter IRL .__.
Nick Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I'd say I'm cold irl. D: Just use some emotes~ n__n
» Pat Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I'm a permanent fountain of laughter and joy. (: Except when I'm pissy. Which barely ever happens.
Icarus Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 LOL I'm the same person on the net as I am irl.....well almost :3
iMush Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 E-dating is kinda lame, simply because u can be whoever u want online. A person can lie about everything there is, and the chances of you finding out would be slim :P And, what kind of *pleasure* can a person find in e-dating? I think web cam's and Nude's are a joke -.-, but thats just my opinion, yours may be different
Devotion Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Just because you edate, doesn't mean you never see the person. And if you choose to lie about yourself before you meet, you're just screwing yourself. And, excuse my frankness, but sex is all the better when you haven't had it for a while. There is much pleasure to be extracted from online dating, as long as you try to take it to the next step.
iMush Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Well if you say so... i dont see how a orgasm gets better if u havnt had it for a month or longer (my bad i duno how to phrase that, not meant to offend u) But if u say so :]
Terroryst Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 WHERE U BE JAY!! TONY? TONY!! WHERE ARE YOU, MAN!
Hrist Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Have you never heard of absence makes the heart grow fonder? She speaks the truth. But too much absence makes the heart grow forgetful.
Nick Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 If absence makes you forget someone then you never loved them.
Devotion Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Well if you say so... i dont see how a orgasm gets better if u havnt had it for a month or longer (my bad i duno how to phrase that, not meant to offend u) But if u say so :] Sex is not only about orgasm =_= There's something very special about re-bonding with your partner after months of being apart. People who have never been in that situation would never know, of course, but it would help to keep an open mind. Besides, one can orgasm without a partner. If absence makes you forget someone then you never loved them. 100% agree...
Icarus Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 If absence makes you forget someone then you never loved them. For me it was quite the opposite, when my first love was gone for a long period of time,I started to love him even more and this love grew with each and every passing day <3 And when he finally returned,it was such a beautiful and warm feeling that I can't even describe it in words...
Nick Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I can. It's called gay. >: J/K I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ;_;
Icarus Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Even though we aren't together anymore,as in relationship, and I'm with someone else now I still keep thinking about him and I just can't forget what we had together and that beautiful feeling I had v_v
Nick Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Even though we aren't together anymore,as in relationship, and I'm with someone else now I still keep thinking about him and I just can't forget what we had together and that beautiful feeling I had v_v um.. why not just stay single
